Best way to watch 1987 series?

I'm currently watching Transformers, just finished season 2 and about to watch the movie. I still got a few seasons to go but after, I'm thinking of starting TMNT. When trying to watch this series I see the first 3 seasons are on Paramount Plus as well as Youtube. I know there are DVDs as well. Not on Tubi anymore for me. I also found a WebDL though other means. The Youtube version looks oddly bright and weird (like the bad DBZ remasters that were done). The WebDL looks fine as well. I also know there are multiple DVD releases.

Which do you recommend? I know there are 10 seasons in total and only the WebDLs I found and the DVDs have all 10 seasons. I heard the DVDs were bad quality though and had issues. Is this true? Don't want to buy a DVD if it's all screwed up. And is there any difference between the multiple DVD releases?

What option is best for what I want?

Hi, I want to mod my ps2 to be able to play games from a hard drive. I dont know if I should go with OPL and an HDD or PSBNN and a SSD. I just want to play games (no online stuff). Watching media files is a bonus but I have a ps3 for that. I also want to still be able to use my disc drive for the physical games I do have.

I’m looking for compatibility and accuracy. How accurate is the OPL compatibility list? Most recent entries seem to be from 2016/2017.

Also, SSDs are expensive now because AI, so if I do go that route, would a 1TB one be enough? there is a lower price 2TB one from TeamGroup Team Force VULCAN but there was a GitHub post about someone who had an issue with it. 2TB HDD for OPL is cheaper, as well as the adapter as it can be 3rd party.

Just asking here because the only home brew I ever did was a Wii a year ago and have no idea about the PS2 side despite loving the PS2 since I was a kid.

Can I connect NES to a TV through both composite and RF on a CRT?

Hello. I was wondering if it was possible to connect an NES to a TV with both RF and Composite at the same time so I could switch back and forth and compare different games between the two signals. Would this cause interference to have both plugged in at the same time? My TV is a Magnavox 20MT1131/17 CRT. Composite used the AV channel input (below channel 2) and RF is set to channel 3.

Worth watching if I know the twist? (SPOILER)

I know: >!There are vampires and that the main character goes to a cave and finds what he thinks is an angel but is actually a monster/vampire. I've also heard the series is about addiction!<

My brother watched it and said he didn't like it and decided to tell me things without asking if I was even going to watch it. But I like shows with good characters and plots, even if the premise is a little weird (which to me it doesn't even sound bad).

Upgrading PC Speakers

I built my PC in 2023 and I got Logitech Z213 speakers with subwoofer. The sound is good enough for me but I'm looking to upgrade the speakers as anytime I try and adjust the volume with the wheel, the left or right speakers will cut out and become muted/fuzzy. I have to adjust the wheel to be juuuuuust right while listening to something and the not touch it or it will screw it up again. Budget is around 150$.

I'm thinking of upgrading my ASUS TUF Gaming 27" VG27AQ to a LG 27GX704A-B as my first OLED which is quite pricey so I'm trying not to spend too much on sound as well. I do have headphones which I will probably use for gaming most of the time but want some decent speakers for when it is too hot out for wearing headphones or when my head hurts. i play single player so I don’t need competitive edge sound stuff (and if I did I’d just use my headphones anyway).

I see people recommend things like Creative Pebble (they at least visually look nice), Edifier, Kilspch, 2.1, bookshelf speaker, etc. so I‘m just asking here. looking for something just as good or better than what I had.

Upgrade from my current ASUS TUF Gaming 27" 2K HDR Gaming Monitor (VG27AQ)?

My current monitor the ASUS TUF Gaming 27" VG27AQ has started to get some dead pixels. Not so bad right now but I'm guessing it's time to upgrade. I like the monitor but I built this PC in 2023 so I'm wondering if there is anything that would be better since then. I mostly play single player games. A mix of action, adventure, and horror, so I guess it would need to do well in both light and dark scenes. Other than that, I really don't need an OLED, and I'm looking to stay at 1440p. Any insight would be appreciated!

BTW my GPU is a 4080, if that helps.

How bad is this spoiler?

I was planning on starting the EU(got the vol 1 tpbs for Void Rivals, Transformers, Duke, and Cobra Commander) and I just found out >!Starscream kills Bumblebee, possibly Skywarp and Starscream too but I’m not sure if I heard that right !<

these may be old though as I just overheard people talking about it in a bookstore (not even my LCS) B&N was the last place I expected to hear EU spoiler, although it was the graphic novel section.

I‘ve also started watching G1 for the first time so I’m getting introduced to all these characters for the first time from that.

Revisions?

Looking at Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for GBC roms there is just the normal Super Mario Bros Deluxe.gbc, then Super Mario Bros Deluxe.gbc (Rev1), and Super Mario Bros Deluxe.gbc (Rev2).

Also, depending on what site I use, all the revs say (USA, Europe) except the second revision which just says (Europe), some sites say (USA, Europe) for Rev2 though.

Edit: Looking at the megathread

What is the difference? Which one should I use?

Is composite good enough?

I was thinking of getting an SNES. Maybe I've been spending too much time of the crtgaming subreddit, but I read that having S-Video or RGB is the best to get the most out of the SNES and it's games. The only RGB modded TVs near me are like $300 and no one is selling any with S-Video. I just have my normal TV with composite and RF with mono audio (although I plan on getting external speakers for that). I thought I would ask here as I assume the people with the most experience with the SNES are here.

Everdrive N8Pro Audio Balance simple question

Hi, I was just reading the user manual for my new Everdrive N8 Pro. Do I need to worry about (by that I mean use) audio balance menu if I'm just using a regular NES with no mods or anything?

Hello. My folks were doing some spring cleaning and they found an old Wii. They are getting things together to sell/get rid of. I have a CRT with only composite video (no svideo or component). Is it worth playing the Wii for Wii and GameCube games if I only have composite video? (so 480i and no progressive)?

Back in the day on our big old CRT we used composite I think (yeah we just used whatever cables came with the Wii). I also think I used the composite cables on an old hdtv from 2010.

The tv also only has mono audio, but I can get external speakers to plug the red and white audio cables into to get stereo.

I never had a GameCube so it would be my first time playing GC games. I also never played a lot of the big Wii titles like Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, DKC Returns, Metroid Prime 3/Trilogy, etc.

Figured I’d ask the Wii fans/experts to chime in, thanks.
