So they could either be:

HEAR ME OUT, it's a disguise mechanism, if you're putting on the mask of a toon, their twisted would be confused and NOT attack you.
For example, if you're wearing a Dandy mask, then Twisted Dandy won't try to attack you.
The masks can be found as items on maps, and there's a mask for EVERY toon/twisted.
Now that might seem like quite a lot of content and work, especially for a DW update, but Aaron said that the devs are locked in, and that there's gonna be a bunch of content in Halloween.
For me:
Quests and golden skin.
Robux skin.
A new machine that's claw machine related
New profile.
A new twisted rework, possibly works like Squirm instead of immediately yoinking your items.
Toon rework, maybe making her ability less RNG based?
New lore, dunno how they're gonna expand on Gigi tho.
Maybe they're gonna make it so that most toons hate her because she steals.
And she'll be heavily affected by that.
Maybe adding more to the mysterious toon back in the Brusha update.
Now I'm not a super big expert on Marvel, I don't claim to be so correct me if I'm wrong or if my theory is stupid.
But what if Doom really Is Tony stark?
From the other realities where they took the stones. Because they took the stones fork multiple realities right?
Hear me out, because in Endgame, we see The Ancient One say that the infinity stones are super important to her reality and their absence would be catastrophic with the world being overrun by a great darkness and whatnot.
So what if at the end of endgame, Captain America didn't successfully return one of the stones/made a mistake?
Because we don't actually see him return the stones, it's off screen.
So that would cause that reality to be gone to chaos.
And then ,the Tony Stark from that reality came over to the main one, to get revenge, retrieve the time stone or some other reason. And he took some crazy powers along with him because I don't think a regular Tony Stark can catch Storm Breaker with only two fingers. What powers? We don't know yet.
Because if you think about it, what else could the extra 5-7 minutes in avengers endgame encore possibly be, that apparently plays a big part in explaining what happens in Doomsday?
So I think the extra scenes are gonna be showing Captain America unsuccessfully returning the stones and him not realizing, or something along the lines of that, and then it shows the alternate Tony Stark becoming evil after all the chaos that happens due to the absence of the stones.
Now why would OUR Dr Strange knowingly do this?
Because we know that bro doesn't really care about morals too much right?
He literally said in infinity war that if it came to choosing between time stone or tony and Peter, he would choose the time stone for the sake of the universe, HIS reality.
Now I know we have another character that looks suspiciously like strange, the one with the mask with the eye on it's forehead that's gonna be doctor doom's minion (sorry I can't find an image), but my explanation to that is that's the alternate dr strange from Dr Doom's reality.
"But if the time stone wasn't returned, how could Dr Strange become Doctor strange?", then that just means that they came from the reality where the avengers took the other stones, not the reality where they took the time stone, because they took the stones from multiple timelines and multiple realities right?
"How could the fantastic 4 possibly know about Doom?"
Maybe, Dr Doom didn't immediately go in guns blazing into this universe to build a false sense of security.
He got along with the fantastic 4 and built a fake friendship, using a fake name, because as we know, Tony stark in this universe is dead, and hearing word of another Tony Stark would be confusing, THAT and the fact that they look similar.
Now AGAIN, this theory might be bullshit, so please LMK if I got anything wrong or if this is entirely flawed, or if you got more evidence to back up this theory.

Actually kinda hate it.
Like this is functionally useless.
It contributes super little to the actual game unless you wanna know about a stranger's preferences and high floor, which is, again, useless.
And this is coming from a guy who has been really liking all the updates so far.
The only way this can be good is:
There's gonna be something else added alongside it.
There's gonna be ANOTHER base game update added this month like they did with Veemail and the double machines update.
They're gonna do a Finn TOTW where they add the base game content alongside the TOTW like they did with Dandy's buds.
I'm pretty excited given that it's gonna expand on the lore.
