What am I doing wrong

I have the following set up, with several empty canisters. Got slightly different anti fill caps on each empty. I put them in the freezer first, slowly open the gas, but I get a few seconds hiss & dispensed enough for about 4 fills.

StayForLong - Is this site a scam?

I booked a hotel for next year in India. I paid the deposit & the full amount 2 months ago = £4600 on my credit card. They gave me a voucher code to present to the hotel on arrival.

I contacted the hotel today to request a room on the top floor & for them to confirm my booking. The hotel informed me they don’t have a reservation in my name. I’m concerned as I paid in full 2 months ago. I’m starting to regret using this site & wonder if I should have ignored the deal & paid more. They have good reviews on trust pilot. I thought they were a legit site like hotels.com or trivago.

A few years ago, I once used booking.com. I found out a few days before that despite me paying in full, the accommodation never had my booking. The scam is to get you to pay for your chosen hotel at a discount, but offer you an inferior hotel at the same gist when you realise your original room was never booked. I’m worried this may be the same

Everything seems so damn complicated

I have been given access to Oracle OCi through work. I have created a couple of Linux instances & a couple of windows VMs. That’s when the fun started.

The aim is to build oracle databases to tinker around with data guard, OEM & ASM. I’d like to install IBM DB2 and create a couple of instances. I’m a DBA with very limited ability to test or build anything at work.

After creating the instances, I’m going down so many rabbit holes. Stuff like: connecting connecting via putty on my work laptop or trying to RDP onto a windows server. Using my own Mac & spending ages trying to get putty installed. Also, once connected to windows, I’m finding the OPC account locked out. I followed a YouTube video where I had to terminate the VM & create a new one. Now it’s stuck & I can’t delete either. Frustrated, I’ve tried to delete everything & start again, but it’s like fumbling in the dark, trying to find my way around.

Im familiar with hyperV & other virtualisation tools, but this seems so overly complicated. Just doing basic stuff has me spending days & im nowhere near even attempting what I sought out to do. My colleagues have given up trying to use it.

I realise many of my issues are because my work environment locks me down, but Where can I find resources that may guide me to actually do something with this resource? I’ve painted myself into a very frustrating corner.

Briggs & Stratton won’t start

I picked up a battered B&S mower that was left on my allotment. It wouldn’t start, so I cleaned out the carb & been happily using my free mower for a while. Now it won’t start.

I noticed oil dripping from the hole where a bolt seems to be missing & the engine locks up on cranking. After taking the plug out, oil gushed out of the plug hole. I may have left it propped up against a fence , rather than horizontal on the floor. Any help please.

Looking at getting my wife’s Vespa back on the road after winter. Press the start button and get a faint click. The battery is fully charged & I can start the engine by using the kick start. Where should I start to diagnose the fault?

I’ve had my garage turned into a gym / play room & had this nice flooring put down. I’m now paranoid about bounce outs & damaging the floor. Will a normal roll out oche be enough protection or do your darts bounce off at weird angle beyond the width of the board / oche?

Just looking for ideas to protect the floor

I’m looking for a touch up paint for a Virago 2002 xv535. I put the reg number into a website & they found the colour. Paid my money & waited for delivery. They came back asking for a code.

I have them VIN number & a number off a sticker under the seat. The log book just says Cream / Black. How do I find the correct code to get a touch up stick?
