My life has been a lie

I decided to buy an S-video cable to see if it makes a difference. I feel like my entire childhood growing up with a PSX was all one big blur - literally. If this is what a cheap $20 cable does, I am definitely buying the Sony cable next. My TV does not have SCART, and Imm glad it doesnt, I am clearly not ready for this lol. My PS5 pro is about to gather dust.

Well, this is just peachy…

My wife was generous enough to add re-enable wifi, get the console connected and update the downstairs PS5 for me so that she can sync her Subnautica game save. So thoughtful /s.

Anyways, its been fun guys and gals! F✌🏻

My first watch

Long time lurker. Finally took the plunge and built my own. I gave the dial and hands a “weathered” look since I’m a huge fan of post apocolyptic games like Fallout and The Last of Us and felt that this would be special. I think I went too far with the hands though, might change them out. Learned a lot but had fun!

Roast to this business - Car Clinic Auto Sales & Services

Not sure if this is allowed, but could not find a Calgary Roast subreddit - but I feel that we Redditors need to look out for one another. Be careful who you give your money to - even when they have a ton of 5 star reviews on Google. They charged me $800 to replace a starter on my car, and the mechanic left packaging on the part, causing the wiring to come loose leaving me stranded. Second starter they did in 6 months on my car - not a coincidence. The owner, Sami, is refusing to make amends and is cocky, telling me "good luck" when I filed a complaint with AMVIC. They sell cars and do mechanical work. Just figured I'd warn our fellow neighbors - stay far, FAR away from this place. If you have ever had a bad experience with them, I ask that you review them. People need to know about these type of businesses in our city.

Car Mechanic - Paid him $900 for a new starter and labor. Mechanic left packaging parts on the new starter causing it to fail, and botched installation. Owner telling me to pound sand. Can I legally open a civil case against him for a refund for the parts and labor?

Hi there. I took my car for a new starter installation at a shop/dealer after they already replaced my previous starter (which only lasted 3 months - go figure). The bill was $900, for many that's not a lot, for me, its the principle. After the car broke again, I sold it as-is for next to nothing because I thought its a dud. New owner opened it up and found that the starter I just paid $900 for in May, still had packaging on, and it caused the wire to break off. They also cross threaded bolts so the starter was loose. AMVIC complaint was filed, but they won't help in terms of a refund for the botch job. Owner of the shop is arrogant and after I requested a refund before taking it further, he told me "go file a complaint, good luck". I feel like I have a solid case to take this guy to court - yes, its only $900 but I sold my car for nothing because of this, plus I paid for a service and part that the shop has damaged. Do I have a foot to stand on? If I do the civil case, do I need to serve this guy in person? I don't want to see him, I might do/say something I regret. Thank you.

Finally bought my dream car. Guess I’m one of you now.

I have been wanting a GTI since the MK7 dropped when I was in high school. I paid off 50% of my mortgage this year, figured its time to get rid of my hooptie - life’s short, give ‘er!

Hey everyone. I am excited to get onto the track this year. I am used to racing senior max and DD2 so this is definitely a different direction, but I understand that these Broggs karts are a bit more easier to maintain; as a dew dad, it was important for me to keep racing and this seems like it will be a good fit.

Aside from wrenches, spare 10mms (we have all been there), tire guages, plugs, chains etc. what would I need for the Briggs in my toolbox? What is something you have found to save your behind on multiple occasions?

Cheers!
