Has anyone’s parked car been hit by a fire truck before?
FDNY engine turned a corner and took out the drivers side rear of my car. My car was legally parked, I woke up to the damage. I called the police to come yesterday, I waited about 10 hours, I’m not sure what happened but they never came.
I called again today and they are currently making a report, but urged me against it. They said they don’t have the fire truck details and I can go to the firehouse and be helped there.
What exactly do I do next? Does my insurance company go after them? Do I need to notify anyone?
