this is an exaggeration of course, but i do fully headcanon that tony probably would have given up on life without his friends and allies that he believes in so much

FOR THE TRAVELLER!!!!!!

i like to come up with silly guardian OCs, so here's [unnamed vanguard soldier] he loves the vanguard, he loves the city, he agrees with everything zavala says, and will ONLY use APPROVED ORANGE AND BLUE VANGUARD WEAPONRY (the sword is from fireteam ops and has the shader it counts)

shout out to all my fellow guardians who have never done a raid

i've always been a casual PVE guy, focused on campaign, vanguard stuff, patrol, never once in my life have i completed a raid or even a dungeon

just not a fan of the whole "you have no instructions or markers, figure it out for yourself based on vague clues or keep a guide handy the whole time" style of design. i probably made that sound too mean but i do appreciate that being there, i just struggle to ever figure out puzzles and most guides are written in ways where my autism makes it so that i need to read it 5 times before i get what its actually telling me to do

i know there's a lot of fellow non-raiders out there, so i just wanna give us all a shoutout. the sol system needs solo warriors like us...

(but also some kind of story mode for raids or dungeons that explains mechanics and has a worse lootpool would be very very very nice if D3 ever happens)

the rise in extraction shooters in the AAA space is a plan

to explain it simply, if you look at extraction shooters that is a genre where items are limited and all players are forced to compete and grind in a fake economy for fake items, where scarcity is entirely controlled by the devs.

in the marathon reboot you can earn and buy cosmetics like gun skins and stickers and charms... but here's a weird thing, these are kinda limited. if you equip a sticker on your SMG you can't equip it on your pistol unless you have two of that sticker.

no other game really does this and there's no reason to, you don't lose the sticker if you die and lose the item my theory is that this, and other AAA attempts at making an extraction shooter, are trying to normalize these systems so that they can then have you lose those cosmetics and need to regain them.

then if they sold those cosmetics for real money, or did the TF2/counter strike thing of letting YOU sell and buy to and from other players while the devs get a percentage of the sale then they've just gotten the infinite money glitch that major AAA gaming wants to desperately.

they can finally have you buy things you already own in the same game forever. they want to make ready player one real, even tho no one actually wants to experience that at all

it's all back around to the belief that they can make the ULTRA GAME that will make infinite money forever, and the idea that gamers will just enjoy that even if it isn't fun (look at how marathon is flopping)

that's also why they refuse to make it PVE focused even tho tarkov's PVE mode is hyper successful, they just don't understand what players want, AND think that PVP is an easy way to infinite content even tho people keep complaining about a lack of content in these types of games

it's like if they tried to make ARMA mainstream, it's an absolutely stupid idea unless you're a gaming executive who thinks its the key to infinite money

do other guardians have prismatic, or only the "main" guardian?

by what i mean by this is, i've seen people talk about how in lore a lot of guardians can already mix and hotswap elemental abilities (use a void nade then a solar super for example) but we couldn't until prismatic and combining light and darkness, which all the characters treat as this massive amazing new power the traveler gifted us

obviously in gameplay you can encounter other guardians with prismatic because they're players, but canonically speaking do any guardians other than THE guardian get access to such power?

like when you see another guardian go prismatic mode, are you just meant to pretend they aren't and only you can? or was it moreso like we got it first and others gained it after the witness's defeat?

the Husks are rather disappointing :(

from the trailers i was SO hyped for the new zombie enemy, the husks, they made it look like a xenomorph level stalking hunter that would sneak around and take our your squad...

instead, we got a hallucination jumpscare that repeats itself, and cursed thralls.

i'm hoping and coping that bungie has more scarier types of husk they'll drop later on, but if this is it then... MAN that is a disappointment. i want something that will absolutely kick my ass
