It's not coming, is it?

Obvious aside, there's no way it's coming today or tmr lol. But is there something happening at the melb. sorting facility? I'm not exactly in a hurry for this parcel, it's just a few CDs, but I am a nosy bastard and I do wanna know why it might be taking so long (aside from my parcel... yknow... just coming from Europe).

Is it Safe to Go on a University Trip to Indonesia?

Title-ish. I have a few things going for me that kind of... screw me over.

Essentially, I've been offered an opportunity to go on a trip to the island of Java, Indonesia for my university degree. It's not required for my degree, but it is the opportunity of a lifetime considering I really would like to get into research. I would not get another opportunity like this while doing my undergrad and there aren't other opportunities to somewhere a little 'safer' for queer travelers in my degree. Trust me, I've checked. I've spent a huge chunk of these past few days grinding my teeth about this all.

The issue is that I am masculine-presenting and am on testosterone, but my documents haven't been (and cannot be) updated to reflect my real name and sex marker. I also haven't had any affirming surgeries. I have raised my concerns to my professor about it, to which they essentially said that they didn't know anything about it but it shouldn't affect my ability to go, and that I should be fine.

I'm personally more concerned about getting through the border? My university does have a guideline for LGBTQ students offshore in countries where being LGBTQ is criminalized, but it's not very specific, I suppose. And there's also the issue of the big fat F on my passport when I clearly look masculine. I'd say I get read for a dude half the time? More when I talk because my voice is pretty deep. I'm also not about to wear women's clothes the entire trip.

I digress, am I cooked chat? Should I just give up on the idea of going and let them know?

Good GOD dude

second picture of me i think three months into T. my hips have slimmed a bit more n i’m happy with my body where it’s at (physique-wise) now.

im so glad that like…. seven months of testosterone has done way more for improving my self worth and image. can’t believe i ever attached my self worth to my ability to pick up these chud freakoids. idk where they get the AUDACITY and CONFIDENCE only to fumble royally. does these even work or are they just throwing darts at the wall and seeing what sticks?

i dont bother dating online no more, i just meet people in person. no luck with a boyfie yet, but it is what it is. met a lotta really nice trans n cis guys, but they tend to be a little older n im into the maturity… but i know i still got a little more mental growing from 19 until i get onto an older guy‘s level and be equal in a relationship. made a buncha new queer friends though :3

so ist das Leben <3

Driving and ADHD Diagnosis & Meds?

Hey, hope you're all doing well! Title, essentially. I'm not sure about the restrictions and rules regarding being a learner driver/fully licensed driver while being diagnosed and medicated for ADHD in the state of Western Australia.

I'm 19 and I haven't gotten my license yet. I haven't even completed my learners. I'm pretty self-sufficient with public transport, so being able drive isn't a super important thing for me to achieve. I'm super active in my community and with my friends, so public transport has never posed much of an issue to me getting out. I actually kind of like it, because it gives me an hour or so to decompress before and after an outing. But it is kind of difficult to get places early in the morning or get home late at night.

But considering I'm getting into my twenties soon-ish, I'm wondering if its worth it for me to bother learning to begin with considering what I've heard regarding the hoops you need to jump through to get your license and maintain having it.

Do you have a shorter license duration than standard? I keep hearing people saying you need to renew it every year with a doctors note instead of just having the option to renew it every five years like everyone else does in WA.

[19/M] One E-Mail A Day?

Hiya! Hope you're all doing well today/tonight!

My name is Damien from Australia and I'm looking for a pen-pal to email maybe once or twice a day for some nice, low-pressure interaction with people outside of my real-life social circle. Here's some info about me!

 • I am queer and transgender.
 • I speak English and Spanish, and I'm learning German for university.
 • I study Geology, and I've been interested in rocks and crystals and geological formations for the better part of thirteen years now. I have a rather extensive (bordering on excessive) collection of rocks, minerals, and crystals.
 • I'm also into history and politics, albeit a little rusty after a few years of Geology at uni. I studied Nazi Germany and the USSR in high-school, and I'm also really into end-of-republic-era Rome.
 • I love love love learning. Most everything is interesting me, especially if it's presented to me by someone passionate.
 • I love reading and writing. All forms. I love fiction and non-fiction. I love scientific writing (having my name on a paper is a dream of mine) and I love creative writing. I'm currently writing a short-ish story for my own entertainment. I've read a lot. My non-exhaustive list is The Handmaids Tale, Frankenstein, Dracula, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the Illiad, the Odyssey, the Aeneid, Animal Farm, 1984, Farenheit 451, Das Kapital, Moby Dick, and the many many mangas/manhuas/manhwas whose names I've forgotten. My favorite book of all time is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
 • I listen to obscene amounts of music. My favorite artists are Green Day, Dead Kennedys, Baby Metal, Weezer, Fobia, Soda Stereo, Rammstein, and Slime. My favorite song right now is 'Sonne' by Rammstein. I'm a bit behind on new releases and new music, but I'm happy to listen to almost anything at least once.
 • I'm big into video games! I play a lot of Tetris, Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star Rail. I'm also a big fan of Animal Crossing, Legend of Zelda, Call of Duty, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, and Pikmin.

If you have any shared interests or would just like someone to talk to, shoot me a reddit DM with your email and maybe an introduction, and I'd be happy to email you from there! Thank you all so much for your time <3

[19/M] Emails into mail?

Hi hi! I'm from Australia, speaking English and learning German.

I'm looking for anyone roughly my age range (18-23) to exchange emails w/ and maybe start to send mail/postcards after a while, doesn't matter where from. I've never had a penpal before, so a little new to this. Here's some pretty basic info about me:

 • I study geology, currently in my second year.
 • I collect rocks. And a lot of other things, really. Cameras. Antiques. Books.
 • I mostly listen to metal/punk/rock music. I listen to a lot of Green Day. Currently I'm listening to Rammstein, Dead Kennedys, and Slime.
 • I'm queer and transgender.
 • I like hiking, kayaking, and badminton.
 • I play a lot of video games. Mostly Genshin/HSR, but I also like MGS, RE, CoD, and TLoZ.
 • I like reading and writing. My fav. book is probably 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne.

If you're interested, send me a DM and tell me a little about yourself! I'd love to meet new people :)
