Timex absolutely killed it with this watch. Even the e bracelet feels great on the wrist. This one is an absolute killer.

Found this beauty in Marienplatz. Absolutely love it, and love that I was able to try it on and get it in person. The AD was excellent.

I missed out on the Farer Paris when it was first available. I saw the New York model in person and it burned me even more that I missed out on the Paris. I had been scanning Chrono24 and eBay and couldn’t find one and I chalked it up as an “oh well, it’s not meant to be.”

Luckily Farer had a “lightly used” clear out, I got the email and I managed to nab one! The dial is stunning, the finishing and decoration are amazing, and it’s yet another high quality original piece from Farer. It’s powered by a Sellita SW300-1.

This is my 3rd Farer and this brand has quickly taken the top spot for me in my collection. Fantastic colourful pieces and amazing customer service. Don’t sleep on ‘em.

I know they are overplayed but I’m still enjoying my Studio Underd0g Mint Choc Chip. I swapped out the strap for a StrapsCo Sail Cloth. Loving the combo.

Even after a year my Hamburg automatic is still getting wrist time. Cant say enough good things about this brand. Love their watches and the customer service is top notch.

I picked up the Orient Bambino no date LE last week and this thing is gorgeous. Kind of sad I waited this long to jump on the Orient bandwagon, but man I’m super happy I did. I love the sunburst grey dial and the fact I could get it without the date. It changes its look dramatically with the lighting. Dollar for dollar, I don’t think there is a better watch. I did swap out the stock strap to the strap from my Studio Underd0g Choc Chip.

I went to a shop yesterday to try a few Hamiltons and Tissots while wearing this, and the saleswoman literally said “you have great taste in watches” when I put the Bambino on the tray. Can’t remember the time a salesperson completed whatever bargain piece I walked in wearing. Usually I get a snobby eye roll.

This is a great little watch for a banger of a price. Getting a handwind movement at this price is great; sub $50! Though a 36mm is too small for a lot of people, this is still worth having a look at. Love the funky dial as well!

Thought the 41 would wear to big but I like it. Always wanted a Swiss railway watch and this one fits the bill.

I always wanted the Omega NTTD but at a 42 it’s big, and also too $$$. So I picked up the Watchdives WD007 39mm PT5000 Titanium Diver directly from Watchdives.

I love this at a 39. The finishing is great, the weight is perfect, and the strap is better than others that I have gotten on Chinese watches or off of AliX.

I don’t know if the helium valve does anything in this guy but I don’t go deeper than my pool anyway. My biggest grip is with the movement. I wanted a mechanical and not Quartz, and the PT5000 fits the bill. However it had the damned ghost date. It’s nothing noticeable but it just nags at me. Makes me wish I ordered the version with the date at 6.

Regardless, until I come up with the coin to pay for a grail watch that’s too big for my wrist, I am happy with this hommage.

Loving the summer vibes of this G-Shock. Certainly one of my favourite affordable watches.

Moved my Zodiac over to a Milanese mesh and I am really enjoying the combo. I also love the orange lume on this thing.

This is the Projects Watches PJT-7301 Terra Time. It came on a rubber strap but I swapped to a nicer rally strap.

The Chez Maman Magnum in “Pacific Blue”.

Chez Maman is a tiny independent watchmaker with a great little boutique in the 2e arrondissment. The vintage styling and proportions immediately won me over.

If you’re ever in Paris it’s well worth a visit.

The strap is not stock. This one is a tatami strap from Watchmaker’s Knot in Tokyo.

I had zero intention on getting one of these. I walked into the Swatch store in downtown Montréal to get a What If for my wife. While I was there I asked what someone had to do to get a Royal Pop? Camp out, be there at dawn, call ahead, etc?

The rep laughed and said we have 3 right now if you want one, but just the Ocho Negro black/white. They brought one out and sold me hard on it, demonstrating how it worked and went through the entire spiel. It acually looked good in person and then pics I’ve seen here were also good, so I did it. I also ordered a Wrist Buddys strap.

Did I overpay for plastic? Hell yes. Do I like what I got? Very much so. I hated in these things for a while, but in the end they are significantly overpriced fun.

If you’re on the hunt, don’t give up. Sometimes luck jumps out at you when you are not even expecting it.

My Hoffman Racing 40 SB03 just arrived. This limited-edition is perfect for a summer day.

I recently put this 40mm Bauhaus big boy on a blue devilfish strap and I am really enjoying the combo. My favourite part on this piece is the curved dial, which creates a nice visual effect in the light.

I really love that Sternglas, especially at their price range, color matches date wheels on most of their pieces.
