Dear USPS Scum may someone also steal your package
I had made a post asking if people have dead or unfixable watches lying around, that I could use to work on movements.
The ones that would’ve or already have been thrown in the garbage could be useful for me and I can learn about fixing different parts on a watch
One guy reached out and sent me a ZF Seamaster 300 and, I can’t be thankful enough for that dude I hope the best for him, when receiving the package from the post office I found out the package had been torn open and it was empty
Now I know I can’t really file for insurance since you all know why dealing with reps and all
I’m just so bummed I was waiting for it and was so excited about it and someone just stole it
My heart literally sank like when you’re tracking and tracking and you find out this happened
This sucks
If anyone has some dead watches hit me up
I saw a X post about being able to buy the Royal Pop online
I knows it’s bs since I tried the UK and US site and it’s obviously not there but interested in seeing it’s available in any other country
Do you own a SISTEM51 Swatch?
How does the movement hold up in terms of timekeeping day to day
And is the rotor noisy
Hershel passing down the family Royal Pop
Hershel: “This belonged to my grandfather. He gave it to me, and now I’m giving it to you.”
hands Glenn a plastic Royal Pop Swatch
“This watch kept time through war, hardship, and three generations of men pretending quartz was acceptable.”
Glenn, trying not to cry:
“Thank you.”
Hershel:
“Don’t thank me. Thank your mother. She waited outside the Swatch store at 6am for this limited-edition shitter.”
A family heirloom.
Made of plastic.
Water resistant to a sad sneeze.
Truly, civilisation was worth saving.
Hot Take
The funniest part of this whole AP x Swatch release is watching the watch community have a complete identity crisis over it.
Half the people are calling it disrespectful to AP heritage.
The other half are camping outside boutiques for a plastic watch.
Meanwhile AP just got more mainstream attention this week than they’ve had in years.
Love it or hate it, “Royal Pop” might end up being one of the most culturally important watch releases in a long time. Curious where everyone here actually stands after the dust settles.
For those around since the MoonSwatch launch, was the Royal Pop more mainstream?
reddit.comAyo where the scalpers at 😂
I don’t see Royal Pop selling for $2K+ are the scalpers rekt?
