While visiting Swatch boutique in Paris Champs Elysées Megastore to buy the Royal Pop, I got the BLAUE ACHT. While paying, I was discussing with the SA the availabilities and the high demand, and she told me, “Now, it’s one watch per person, per-week in all the French stores.”

It used to be one watch per person per day, though I’m not sure if it was per store.

She told me it’s something very-recent due to the high demand.

BTW, I paid, and I didn’t get the watch instantly, I will pick it up in 2 days from the boutique, which is something they didn’t used to do (reservation system)

Just wanted to update the community with this change.

I’m hoping someone here can give me some advice because I’m honestly not sure what to do.

Back in June, I was on vacation in Macau, China for about a month. While I was there, I stopped by the Swatch store inside The Venetian and, to my surprise, they had the Blue MoonSwatch “Royal Oak” (AP x Swatch) available. I had been wanting this watch for a long time, so I was incredibly excited.

When I went to pay, they told me they didn’t accept Apple Pay and that I needed a physical credit or debit card. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my card with me. I asked the employee if he could hold the watch while I went back to my hotel, but he said he couldn’t make any promises.
The problem was that my hotel was about a 30-minute walk away, and getting a taxi during that time of year was extremely difficult. I ran all the way back to my hotel, grabbed my debit card, and ran back to the store. It took me about 40 minutes total. Luckily, my wife and our 3-year-old had stayed in the store talking with the employee and explaining how much I had wanted this watch. When I got back, it was still available.

I bought it, and I was thrilled. The employee wound the watch in front of me, showed it to me, and everything appeared to be working perfectly. I packed it up, flew home to Florida, and honestly never got around to wearing it. It has been sitting safely in its box and pouch on my computer desk ever since.

Today, I finally decided to buy a bracelet for it because I actually wanted to start wearing it instead of keeping it as a collectible. After installing the bracelet, I started winding the watch and tried to set the time. That’s when I realized something was wrong.

The watch doesn’t run at all. The seconds hand in the little “Royal Oak” style subdial never moves. I watched several videos to make sure I was winding it correctly. I checked the indicator on the back and wound it until the little holes showed it was fully wound (completely gold), but nothing happens. I’ve tried gently shaking it, moving it around, and everything else people recommend to get an automatic movement started, but it never starts ticking.

I’ve had the watch since around June 12, so it’s been about a month and a half, but I never actually used it until today. My biggest concern is that I bought it overseas in Macau, and now I’m back home in Florida, USA.

Does anyone know if these watches have a global warranty that Swatch will honor in the U.S., or am I basically out of luck since it was purchased overseas? I’m pretty upset because I finally wanted to wear it, and now I’ve discovered it doesn’t work even though I never got the chance to use it.

Has anyone else experienced something like this or dealt with an international warranty claim? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So I thought I’d tell you about my experience trying to get my hands on a Royal Pop.

Location: Wuhan Store, China.

After the collaboration was announced, I added my local store on WeChat to see if, and when, I could get my hands on the watch. They warned me from the outset that interest was extremely high and that trying to get one on launch day would be hectic.

I decided to wait until the buzz had died down a little and instead messaged them occasionally to see if it had been restocked.
Every single time I messaged them, I got the same cookie-cutter response:

(Thanks for your interest. The item is currently out of stock.)

Last night, I got my wife, who speaks Chinese, to call them. They said over the phone that they had no idea when the next delivery would arrive, but that the Royal Pop was currently in stock!

I was at work but decided to hop on the train to Wuhan the next day. After a two-hour high-speed train journey, I arrived at the mall at 9:50, waiting for the store to open at 10.

I walked in and was greeted by the most unhelpful employee. I asked about the Royal Pop, and she looked me up and down before simply saying, “We don’t have it.” No conversation, no discussion, she just went straight back to her paperwork.

Luckily, another, much more helpful employee came over about ten minutes later.
She explained that they receive thousands of messages every day from people asking if it’s in stock. Whenever they receive a delivery, it’s usually sold out within an hour.
She also said that if you message them and they tell you it’s in stock, don’t even bother making the trip unless you can get to the store immediately.

It seems that if you’re not within earshot of the store, your chances of getting your hands on this collaboration are next to none.
One nice thing was that they had two display models for people to see and handle, and I have to say they look and feel beautiful.
If you managed to get your hands on one, well… GG.

I know it’s real but honestly it started feeling like a mirage how many damn times I walked into a Swatch store and struck out…Finally lucked out securing the Lan Ba 🔥

Pro tip for NYC collectors: if the Times Square location gets a Royal Pop shipment, it’s highly likely the Soho store will get it soon after 👀

The Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch walked so the Royal Pop could moonwalk. 🌙➡️🕺
Don’t get me wrong—I give Omega credit. The MoonSwatch changed the game. It got a whole new generation excited about watches, had people camping outside stores, and made watch collecting fun again.
But then I found the Royal Pop…
Now every time I put the MoonSwatch on, it feels like I accidentally grabbed the demo model. 😂
The Royal Pop just scratches a different itch. The colors are louder, the wrist presence is wild, and it makes me smile every time I look at it.
No disrespect to the MoonSwatch—it’s a legend in its own lane. But if these two were siblings, the Royal Pop definitely stole Mom’s favorite jewelry and somehow got away with it. 🤣
As always… this is coming from a collector, not a reseller. Just a watch addict with questionable financial decisions. 😭⌚

I had zero intention on getting one of these. I walked into the Swatch store in downtown Montréal to get a What If for my wife. While I was there I asked what someone had to do to get a Royal Pop? Camp out, be there at dawn, call ahead, etc?

The rep laughed and said we have 3 right now if you want one, but just the Ocho Negro black/white. They brought one out and sold me hard on it, demonstrating how it worked and went through the entire spiel. It acually looked good in person and then pics I’ve seen here were also good, so I did it. I also ordered a Wrist Buddys strap.

Did I overpay for plastic? Hell yes. Do I like what I got? Very much so. I hated in these things for a while, but in the end they are significantly overpriced fun.

If you’re on the hunt, don’t give up. Sometimes luck jumps out at you when you are not even expecting it.

Today I finally tracked down Royal Pop #6 — the Lan Ba (two-tone blue with the sky-blue subdial). I told myself after #5, “I’m good… I don’t need another one.”
…That lasted about 17 minutes.

At this point, my brain has become a GPS that only gives directions to Swatch boutiques. My wallet has stopped arguing with me and just accepts its fate.
I’m officially 6/8 complete now. Only TWO left until the entire Royal Pop collection is together.
Before anyone asks… No, I’m not a reseller. I’m a collector. These are staying with me. I genuinely love this collaboration and the hunt is half the fun. There’s something satisfying about watching the lineup grow one box at a time.
Now the real question is…
Do I stop at all 8… or does this turn into a bigger obsession?!?!
