hi guys im wondering if anyone has any speculation about when the tour might be announced, when it would take place, when tickets would go on sale, or anything like that at all??

hi im a highschool senior from california and am contemplating applying to tamu. my main worry is with admission into computer engineering after the "screening", and whether its actually worth it to do all the supplementals and apply (as i can rather focus on other schools). a little about me:

- 1400 sat (equal reading and math split - 700/700)

- 3.88 uw, 4.18 weighted

i have finished all of the california general education classes through my community college (aka cal-getc). as a result, i would be taking advanced classes in a&m as i have also finished calc 1 and 2. i would probably be starting at calc 3 and doing all stem courses first year, as i've finished gen ed (not sure if my community college courses transfer - hopefully they do). would i really be able to get the 3.75 required gpa to switch into computer engineering? is it even worth it or not worth the risk?

is it fine if i take an ap class senior year but dont take the ap exam for it. only asking bc i had a friend last year (senior) who got an email from a school saying one of the ways an application may get rescinded is if she doesnt take an ap exam for a class or something. not sure about the exact wording but kinda got me worried. this is for physics 1 btw which doesnt even get credit from the exam, so im thinking of just not taking the exam

hi, incoming senior here. ultimately im interested in computer engineering, but i have low stats for stem (b's in most stem classes -- chem, bio, calc), 3.85 unweighted and 4.19 weighted.
for the longest time i was considering just applying for random not AS competitive majors (cognitive science, informatics, etc), and maybe switching into computer engineering, although that seems to be basically impossible at most uc schools.

honestly, i dont know how to proceed. i know that i wouldnt want to study random majors because i have a strong interest in computer engineering, but at the same time, i know im not in a competitive spot to get into the schools of engineering, considering my low stats and the fact that im not even in the top 9% of my class (my highschool is competitive, which scares me as well), so im not a shoe in for engineering or anything like that.

choosing between dropping CISP 300 with Tully or CISP 360 with Singh, any suggestions?
