Path - 1

So I will be trying to make this a series.

What I'm basically gonna do is dump all the theories I have related to path, explain the paths of different characters to the best of my ability etc. in short we'll be talking about path in this series.

One more thing I'd like to mention is that I'll be using the Questism power scaling system. Ranking potential, strength in quantifiable terms. And I feel like the way Questism power scales is really good because they quantify abilities in to ranks, skills into cards (which are also ranked).

Today what I'm gonna talk about is: what is a Path?

Path is basically the innate nature of a person in fight. That's the shortest definition I can give. It'll be better to understand if I give examples.

Take Daniel for example - PTJ was fore shadowing since the beginning that Daniel can read "innate nature" or "innate thoughts" of people. How? He could talk to Jay without Jay speaking a single thing.

Now the question is, does that mean Daniel always had a path?

Here comes the concept of "Awakening Path". From here on, I'll refer a person who has path as a "path user".

A path user always has a path they just don't unlock it yet. To understand how this works I'll refer to the Questism system. If you've read Questism you must know the fact that for a character to unlock a new skill card they must be pushed to their absolute limits or must train a lot. In short, utilise their potential.

Gukja is the best example. As he trained his strength kept increasing (which is obvious) but he unlocked TUI when he was pushed to his absolute limits. The same way a character can unlock a skill card through training or by being pushed to their limits, a character can unlock path the same way.

Except there is one more variable that plays a vital role: Conviction.

Jinyoung said the key to awaken path is conviction. Now conviction is not only the purple line you see while hitting someone, it can also be desperation/motivation to beat someone or simply believing in yourself.

For example John was desperate as hell when he wanted to beat Gun and awakened path. Same thing with lil Daniel when he fought Paecheon.

The desperation is useless if you don't have enough potential. Now what's potential? From what I understood, it's when you stop growing. A person with a very high potential will take a lot of time to stop growing. A person with low potential will stop growing much earlier.

Take Warren for example, he arguably has every requirement for path but obviously has lower potential than John, Daniel and other path users so just never awakened it.

The other thing is, path varies from person to person. BIQ has nothing much to do with path. But remember every path user has a high battle IQ but not every character with high BIQ has a path. Sinu, Warren are some of the examples. I won't include Tom Lee because he's a 0 gen, Jinyoung awakened path on the verge of death, 0 gens are monsters. Unless Tom dies without awakening path, I will consider there's still a possibility he has a path.

We don't know much about path because so far we've only seen 3 users (John, Daniel and Jinyoung) properly use them. Usage by others is really vague. But I'd say a general thing could be that path amplifies the "special" thing inside you.

In case of Jinyoung this special thing was his copy ability. He's the only know copy user (according to himself) that can copy unique skills. So unique skills are basically when a character creates something that fits their fighting style so obviously it has all their strengths right? Jinyoung was already copying unique skills so that means he was already able to replicate the strengths of a fighter, by awakening path he was able to mix different strengths and create a style of his own instead of copy paste.

I'll probably make another post on how Jinyoung's path works.

Daniel was always able to read the innate nature (that's how he probably communicated with Jay) but awakening path gave him the ability to use all of senses to do so AND find openings.

What about John, doesn't he just spam everything? Is that is innate strength? To spam? Nuh uh. Johns path has something to do with how he "copies". He doesn't blindly copy like the other copy users. He learns that move completely, there's a difference. Proof? Read the manager Kim vs John fight. He wasn't blindly spamming CQC he used his brain, copied the stance and used the appropriate moves with appropriate stances. For example, a person who knows origami will make origami out of tissue 5. That's the case with John. He's understood and learned stuff he copied so well he can execute from any direction. I think there's an incident you can call "fore shadowing". Y'all remember the God Dog arc he punched away hundreds of stones? That's it. He was spamming shit since day one.

Now I cannot comment on paths of others people like James, Kitae, Gun etc simply because don't know much about how they fight. Yes Gun too, I saw a post long ago how he never used Yamazaki Kyokushin but I can't find it now. I'll probably make a similar post in future on his fighting style. Gun never used his original fighting style meaning we still don't know how he would fight at full potential.

That's it for today. Idk what the next one part will be about but will be definitely related to path.

Also the person who made the post about how Gun never used Yamazaki Kyokushin Karate, please 😭 dm me the link gng I need that 😭 I'll even give you the credit where needed in my future posts related to Guns style I don't wanna make a whole post on it 😭

The dark aura around Kitae

We have seen the dark aura around Kitae many times

People call it "Dark Conviction", my theory is that it's not conviction at all.

From what I've understood throughout the story is that conviction is owned by people who want to protect people, are protecting people, or protected people in past.

For example

Jinrang, Jake and have conviction because they are protecting people.

Dayoung Oh had conviction even though he didn't protect people, but how? That's because he had the will to protect people at some point in the past (Gap stated that he had romanticism or something)

From what I've seen, that's not the case with Kitae. He doesn't protect, so calling the dark aura conviction isn't right.

We must keep in mind that Jake and Kitae should at least some of what Gap had.

Using this logic I've come to this conclusion:

Jake has conviction, and we have seen the dark aura around his hands in Incheon arc when Yugang Ha's daughter Yeowool (whatever her name is) steals from him.

So Jake has conviction.

Kitae has that black aura and so does Jake. This makes me come to a conclusion that Gap also had both of them. Kitae couldn't awaken conviction cuz he probably never had the will to protect and when he did, he simply couldn't fight.

So calling this "dark conviction" doesn't seem like the right term.

What we should call it instead is "Despair".

There's a heavy focus on people saying Kitae is Despair that's why.

But then how does someone awaken despair?

By having the will to destroy instead of protecting. By having a strong feeling to destroy or harm someone. Don't worry gng I can back this up to some extent.

We know that Kitae is always wanting to kill people, in way harming or destroying them. So he has "Despair"

Wbu Jake? If you check the panel(which I mentioned earlier of Yeowool stealing his money) where Jake is shown with this dark aura, he was talking about how he'll beat the thief or something like that. So he wanted to harm someone, hence the dark aura.

And Gap? Ain't he a person who protects people?

Now here somes the part where I have to bring up Gap's charecter development.

Look it's been said a lot of time Kitae is the evil side of Gap. How do people know of Gap's evil side if he was always "not evil"? My theory on his charecter development is as follows:

He was a good guy but then something happened like the power he had made him greedy or something and at some point he wanted to harm others and probably did a lot bad things and only cared about his pleasure i.e became selfish. During this period of time he became evil and abandoned his kids. And probably did a more crimes publically that's why he kept losing the elections. But then later he came to the realisation and started protecting people. So he went from good to evil to good.

And during his evil era he awakened "dark conviction" or what I'm referring as "despair".

And since Jake has both, I feel like there'll be a point in story where he'll be able to use both of them at once.

This would make Jake standout amongst the Kim bloodline. Kitae can't awaken conviction cuz of the reasons I stated and Gap was dumb. Like he admitted it himself that he's dumb.

That's it guys. This was kinda random tbh. Tell me what y'all think about this.

one thing I forgot to mention is that this make Kitae absurd. like if this really is what I'm saying it is then every time we saw the black aura around him, it was his dark conviction and not his path.

How much do you think the power scaling and lookism verse will be affected if the stats drop to normal?

Lookism characters are far beyond the limits of humans which is obvious, making craters, breaking statues made of rock, super sonic speed etc.

By what extent do you think the hierarchy of the lookism would be affected if these stats were dropped to normal? For example they would be physically as strong as real fighter like Bruce Lee, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Khabib etc, I'm only talking about physicality. BIQ, fighting styles remain the same (masteries are also removed btw)

In this scenario who would be at the top according to you?

I'd say someone huge like Shingen or Kitae or Gap cuz size obviously gives you a buff or a weapon user like Goo or his master.

Also techniques like DBT are not available. What I'm trying to say is we bring the physicality to realistic standards, even the skills.

PTJ WAS DROPPING HIMTS ALL ALONE!

PTJ didn't come up with Gap being ambidextrous randomly! He was dropping hints.

In the first image Gap is fighting against Shingen and the stance he's taken, he can only land a left handed strike. And considering how much PTJ is talking about dexterity, why would Gap bet everything on his non dominant hand? Like this was a really good foreshadowing we just didn't notice it.

In the second image too he's holding the pipe with his left hand.

Third image is him starting a handshake with his right hand. Fourth image is again a stance where you can land a heavy strike only with the left hand and leg. So he's having a good command on both his hands puls probably his legs too.

I mean we all know that he's ambidextrous now but I felt like I should point out these foreshadowing or whatever so that people are aware and will observe the panels more keenly.

Shaving hair around eyes

As salaamu alaikum

I'll this clear I am not talking about eyebrows. No eyebrows at all. I'm a male.

So recently there's a lot of hair growing around my eyes. Like not the beard, yk the area below the eyes and immediately next to eyes. Like I've had it for a long time but the problem is that it's getting thicker now and is dark now it's kinda visible at a close distance. You're talking to someone face to face, it's visible from that distance.

I was thinking of shaving it, again I'm not talking about the eyebrows ik I'm not supposed to shave them and I don't want to anyways, can I shave it?

WHY GAP IS THE BEST CONVICTION USER AND WHY OTHER PEOPLE LIKE VASCO CANNOT AWAKEN CONVICTION 🗣️

Conviction has something to do with "protecting" others, my theory is that's it's more than the will to protect others.

Conviction is not a tool that you can use, it's a state of mind or a mindset.

Lemme explain, one thing that I've noticed is that Gap does not care about who he's going up against. I mean look Jinyoung had a whole crew with him, yet was scared of the Yamazakis. Gap didn't care. In case of others, they fight and then there's an outcome, in Gap's case he is so confident in himself and believes in himself too much. He doesn't think he'll win, he knows he will.

Even when fighting Tom Lee, he just jumped right away.

He recruited Jinyoung right away without thinking about if he'll accept or not.

He broke the statue without thinking "can I break this?" He just did it.

He stood for the elections without thinking "will I win?"

I think apart from "protecting others", this is the mentality that makes Gap the strongest and the best conviction user. When James fought Taeseo, he said something about believing in himself.

So this strong belief in himself that he'll win no matter what or he'll overcome anything is the factor that makes him different from others and why his conviction is different.

What I mean to say is the strength of conviction is directly proportional to two things: will to protect and the belief you have in yourself.

Others have the will to protect but they lack the belief in themselves the way Gap has. What makes me say this is the fact that others think of a plan or something, plot, jump etc because they are not confident in themselves.

Why do I say Gap is confident? I mean we haven't seen much of him, but with the amount of screen time he's had he never hesitated, never felt the need to plan wether it was breaking the statue or taking down Tom Lee or proposing to women.

So conviction is in the mentality, it's something that don't activate but something that you always carry with yourself.

Lemme know what y'all think about this!

What if Daniel is Yuri's son?

We saw that Gun had a lot of brothers from different mothers. I mean that Shingen had a lot of children.

The purpose of this breeding session was to produce at least one child who is born with TUI, which in Shingen's case was Gun.

It makes sense to assume that Shingen's father also pulled off a similar breeding session and hence Shingen and Shintaro also had more brothers from another mothers. We didn't get to see them probably cuz they got killed later or something.

So my theory is that one of Shingens brother from another mother and Yuri had a child, which is Daniel.

This likely happened due to one of three reasons:

  1. They legit fell in love or something

  2. Yamazaki wanted to weaken the Training Trops (or whatever the name of Jinyoungs group is)

  3. A very specific and unfortunate thing happened with Yuri that I don't really wanna mention but iykyk

And due to one of these Daniel was born. It makes sense to me cuz this way you can give a reason as to why he has copy (which he inherited from the same bloodline as Jinyoung) and UI (which he inherited from the Yamazaki bloodline).

Later due to some Yuri dies and Daniel's mom adopts him. That may also be the reason why Jinyoung always refers to him as his nephew.

And the reason Daniels UI is different from Gun is because he "activates" it instead of being born with it or achieving it. Cuz he goes unconscious and UI goes vroom vroom.

Need a book suggestion/recommendation.

I wanted to read a book that teaches the sunnah way of dealing/communicating with people. I'm going through some stuff and I'm always frustrated and I feel like I'm rude to people nowadays, arguing a lot etc. so I was wondering if there's a book that teaches how to talk or handle yourself when you're angry, when you've made a mistake and the other person is angry, the sunnah way of speaking etc. please give good suggestions if you have any.

Nicked myself for a silly reason

Idek what to feel about it I was struggling with urges to cut myself for idk around a week ig and today something happened that made me feel shitty I kinda wanted to do it but controlled myself

But then I gave in to curiosity I was "curious" how it would feel to actually do it.

I went to bathroom and tried cutting it with a sharp tool but it didn't bleed so I kept doing it and later I realised that my shoulder like the cut I made on my shoulder had blood in them

It's all over my shoulder now it doesn't hurt but it stings and kinda burns

I don't know what to feel about it now except for feeling stupid

I feel like I've built up the "courage" to do it later when I have the urge to

I feel really stupid for doing this to myself for no reason

Is this considered as self harm?

Idk what flair to put for this one so I put it under "Talk/Support".

So I was wondering is this act is considered self harm

Like staying sleep deprived on purpose. Sometimes I stay sleep deprived on purpose, like i sleep but not much like 4 or 5 hours or something per day. It's enough sleep to function properly if it's just one day but I do it for months. The longest I've been like that was more than a year and a half. Like i sleep deprived myself on purpose. It makes me feel "high" (though I've never actually consumed any drugs) the sleep deprivation makes me feel high.

And like there's a moment every day where my eyes become heavy, I can't think clearly, have way too much brin fog, and I still don't sleep. I stop whatever I'm doing and stop myself from falling asleep. I know I shouldn't do it but I can't help it. I think it's because it makes me euphoric.

Does this count as self harm?

Need advice

Ok so I don't wanna explain my situation. It's very messed up. I'm dealing with a lot of stuff, health issues, frustration cuz of self development (because I keep failing) there's a lot of stuff. I need advice.

I'm on the verge of starting self harm.

I have already kind of.

A year ago I felt like this too, i suppressed myself but now it's kinda getting out of hand.

I keep making the same mistakes that make pissed off over myself. It's been I don't know how many months that I want to die. I've no desire to live anymore.

Now the self harm thing is back again.

I've stopped eating properly I've been starving myself, like I eat because I don't want my family to notice but I eat very less. Only one I've started to eat a lot, since a few weeks, I'm not sure but I think I have an eating disorder. I eat when I'm stressed or pressurized.

I've picked this habit idk how of violently scratching myself whenever I'm pissed off over myself or something similar. I'm really getting restless now as I type this I wanna do something to myself, to harm myself. I feel very restless. Please give me some advice on how to deal with this.

It's like there's another person inside of me who hates me idk how to say like a part of me hates myself and wants to hurt myself, this is the best way I can put it sorry if that doesn't make any sense.

I don't want to discuss this with people close to me that's why I'm here to get advice from people that went through the same. I don't like anything about myself. I try to change but I fail everytime and end up hating myself again, and then fall into a void. It's like a loop. I don't love myself, I don't think I ever did.

I need geniune advice and experiences.

Edit: Relapsed (idk if it's the right word) scratched myself again, it's all red around my ribs and behind my ear it burns a lot

I see people say they're struggling with faith and stuff, some sisters they say they feel they should remove hijab for different reasons, people struggling with salah and stuff.

I just wanna tell you people it's ok to struggle. I don't who needs this but idk I just felt like i should say it.

We are together in this, all of us. Everyone goes through different stuff in life.

To all the people who read this, i pray we all make it gang.

Some more motivation:

Thabit Al-Bunani RHM:

He made this statement when he stood up for the night prayer and his feet became tired from the prolonged standing. He then hit his feet and made this statement!!!!

“I endured the night for 20 years (by Praying) and then i delighted in the night for 20 years” [Hilyat Al-Awliyaa]

Muhammad Ibn Munkadir RHM:

“I struggled (and endured the pain) with my soul for 40 years until, it became firm (in worship)” [Hilyat Al-Awliyaa]

Abu Yazid RHM:

“I kept driving myself to my Lord while it cried, until i drove it while it smiled” [Sayyid Al-Khatir]
