Need help narrowing down‼️‼️

The first 4 are my current options. In order
the first is $1k
the second is $600,
third is $450,
fourth is $950 (but would be fully custom.)

After that I have my inspo pics from my Pinterest and the last 2 pictures are of me in a dress I got from goodwill for $60.

Currently I’m wresting with if I wear the fit and flare dress down the aisle and then wear the a line as a reception dress or if I just pour all my energy into the A line.

My wedding is this January (cold) I will have a white felt cloak with a hood (like beauty and the beast) my main dress thoughts were for a basque wait, cat eye neckline, corset back, blush or ivory dress with floral appliqués and either organza or chiffon fabric (for maximum spin ability)

Theme is forest and whimsical with emerald green

My original budget was $800 and below…… but I’ve been struggling with that.

Help me narrow down please 🥲

Clock popped open- how concerned should I be?

Ok so hypothetically… how concerned should I be if I picked this up and it fully opened…. That was about a month ago and I shrugged it off but now I’m thinking about it. The clock was missing the back piece where the mechanism would be it only had the face and the cover. It did have a reading on my Geiger but was low. Because it was already broken I’m assuming someone else opened it before me but i definitely had this thing open near me. I know the main concern is around the build up of gas over time but it wasn’t sealed very well.

Thoughts?

Help- why did my cake come out so dry

The recipe I used was supposed to be for a super moist cake but it turned out very dry and dense. Even the batter when I combined ingredients was suuuuper thick when the inspiration was runny. I followed all instructions all I can think is the flour was too compacted or something. :/

Thoughts??? I’m frustrated and want to know what went wrong. I added the recipe that I followed from the video in the photos

Help please- civic 2012- broke down

My car currently has me stranded in another city. The car ignition isn’t turning over now or making any sound at all. It been having intermittent issues for about a year now (taken into mechanics and no one could find the issue) it would stutter to start especially if it had sat for more than a day. Now there’s no stutter and no turnover attempt. Power comes on, full dash, fan and lights. It has a new alternator and battery. I assume it’s the starter but can’t confirm.
Other issue has been a shaking at speeds above 65 mph. (Not sure if related)
I have called AAA but unfortunately they haven’t assigned a truck to my call due to it being a long haul (and a holiday). Despite the call being placed a day ago and scheduling a tow.

Anyways, currently stranded and don’t know who else to call or what else to do so if anyone has any thoughts or advice that would be appreciated.

Made this the other day- blueberry lemon cake with garden blueberries

Found the recipe on Instagram that has Greek yogurt and olive oil in it. Absolutely delicious and moist. And the blueberries were fresh from my garden.

Alright guys I’m grasping at straws- dupe request

ISO- for January 2027, USA and under $900
I am looking for a dress similar to the ones posted. I have found a few similar but still not quite the one and I’m hoping some others will know better than me.

Ideally I’m looking for an Aline dress with a drop/basque waist, corset, laced back, with chiffon or organza (just flowey stuff I can’t stand thick satin) and floral appliques. I like the whimsical woodland vibe and colors in the realm of ivory, champagne and blush.

One dress I saw is from cocomelody but I don’t know much about that site. Is it reputable???

Thanks in advance.

Bought two clocks today, phinney-walker and westclox

Fairly certain the westclox is too new and not radium but it was $2 so I grabbed anyways. The phinney walker I was so happy to see because I’ve seen others here with it and it clocked in high enough on my Geiger. The phinney is hand painted from Germany and what I found is it’s around 1960.
The phinney will be a gift for my brother so I’m stoked for that.

Alright guys- I’m assuming no

Found these from a local seller for $25 who claims that her grandmother bought them at age 19 and has kept them in a cabinet all this time. But they look like modern reproductions to me based off of how immaculate the shape is and the lids do not look correct for the time period. Lmk your thoughts before I try to drive out there.

[US] Alright- real or fake email offer

Got this email today and I’ve had plenty of phishing emails over the years of which I’m fairly sure this one is too….. but just in case, what do you all think? It’s entirely free all they want is a signature.
It is offering a free product no cost and no shipping. Just an address and an sig upon delivery with an option to post about it if I so choose.

I have done similar brand reviews before but their emails had a legit title. The email sent from looks a little sketch tho and I blurred my name for privacy

Help please

Just bought this Tiffany lamp shade and bridge lamp but it doesn’t have a connector and I’m confused. Anybody know which piece to buy??? It’s a 2 inch diameter

u/SadCollegeAlien — 1 month ago

Alright guys I had my first blind buy….

….. and flop. But it’s ok it’s still pretty. It was $150 and I paid 130 and needs the right size clamp to hold the shade on. I think the ball is cadmium. I would like to figure out the age though. I know it’s not 20s but wondering how new it is 80s to current wise. The top and bottom are magnetic and I assume they’re iron and the length is non magnetic. Thoughts?

Is it radium or no?

Geiger only went up to 35 and I saw someone say that the word quartz on the box could mean this one is too new to have radium but this sale had a LOT of watches so I wouldn’t be shocked if it was in the wrong box and the owner had two from the same brand. Background levels were low here around 7 for reference. Am I crazy? It glowed under UV I just didn’t get a pic

Radium? My Geiger counter shows low but I’m not too confident with it yet

The middle is modern but the far right is from mid century. Geiger showed 35 cpm but I’ve only ever gotten a high read on certain uranium glass pieces

Can you imagine my excitement

Found this radium clock at an estate sale on 25% off day so I got it for $9. The clock functions but I haven’t tested its music box yet. Registers in the Geiger counter around 150. I found other people posting the same one so I’m very excited.

Trying to understand/ help a friend

Trying to learn as much as I can about inner workings of credit and cards but I’m finding a LOT of conflicting information. A friend recently graduated college and did not realize that their card on file for the student loans wasn’t working. They’ve missed many payments and wracked up $764 in debt as well as dropped their credit score to 460. (Prior didn’t have any debt no credit card or anything). We are trying to rebuild the score and the debt has already been paid off in a lump sum.

I am trying to find if paying that lump sum will increase or decrease their score. And looking into getting a credit card to assist. What card would they qualify for at this point? And what avenues would be best to rebuild the credit score?

They are also looking to buy a 5ish year old car in around a month if possible so this is another hoop. What ideas do you all have? And what are the options?
