I am Canadian, and I've been dating a Moldovan man for six months now and am a bit confused. I'd like to know if this is normal from a Moldovan dating perspective.

When does a man introduce his girlfriend to his family? From our third date, he said that he would like me to meet his family, and it has been six months now with nothing!

- Does the man usually make dating plans? I've noticed there's low effort from his side in planning dates, as we always end up in nearby cafes; he has never invited me to a nice dinner.

- Is the woman expected to contribute to dates? I get a feeling from him that I need to contribute about 40%.

I am considering breaking up with him, but he is a nice guy, so I wanted to double-check to see if this is a norm to see if it's worth a conversation. I would appreciate any input.

I'm a [37 F], and I've been dating a [ 40 M] 6 months. I'm thinking of leaving him because of this, and I'm not sure if I'm overthinking. He always promises things, but then he never mentions them again. He asked me if I was okay with meeting his family, and I confirmed that I would love to. He said that he'd make a plan to meet them, but three months later, he still hasn't taken any action. Also, he often asks me if I want to go with him to certain cities, but no actual plans ever materialize. I've started to feel that he doesn't take me seriously. He also replies to my messages after 2-3 hours, claiming that he doesn't like texting, but I saw him getting back to his brother or mom right away once they text him, even if they are sending a joke. He sends me one paragraph text to avoid having a chat with me. We meet once or twice a week; we always go to a nearby cafe unless I plan an activity, which is really tiring for me. I told him about this and got upset because he puts effort into driving 40 minutes to my city, even though I tend also to meet him in the middle (I do not drive; he does). And after that he started telling me how streets are empty because gas is high now ( I do not see the streets empty but just felt he is saying this to tell me he is spending more than usual when driving to my city). Am I exaggerating things?

tl;dr:I feel my 6 months BF is not taking me seriously for Above reasons, am I exaggerating things?

I am 36F and he is 42M. We both have good jobs. We have been dating for six months now. He is a good guy with a sweet heart, but it bothers me that he has never taken me out for dinner or to eat outside. We always go to cafes, but he never takes me to a restaurant. He never plans any activities, except for a one-hour painting activity with no dinner plans afterward, and we ended up in a cafe. If we go out for a walk, we walk for hours, and he does not offer to sit and have a bite. I am not used to this kind of treatment. It's hard for me to talk about this with him as I feel embarrassed. Additional info.: I planned for 4 activities and I bought the tickets as well to give him a hint to do the same. Also, I took him to dinner for his birthday and I paid for that. Now when I tell him that I am hungry, he will ask me where I want to go and I feel embarrassed.
