If it is truly about intention first and foremost , and moon phases, time of day, not having the right color candle or right family of mint doesn't matter, why do any of that stuff at all?

Now, I noticed a lot of spells call for x crystal, x herb in x color bag on the x moon. Then when I look up, "what if I dont have x herb? or x color?" the response is, "what matters most is intention, just use another herb"

so lets say I only have basil and white tea light candles, can any spell be used with basil? or no basil at all? at what point is a spell affected? can one just meditate and put their intentions out with nothing else for every spell? and if people are swapping out their herbs candles and crystals to just use what they have, is any of that stuff really needed?

Got the implant an unknown amount of years ago. 2-3 I believe, potentially more.

Irresponsibility of not keeping track aside, how likely is it I could be pregnant?

I am 31, I have an 8 year old kid.

Lately I have been ultra tired, like not being able to get through the day without a nap.

I am freaking farting like all the time, and they smell bad where as before they did not have a noticeable smell.

My BO is so bad.

My back hurts and my ankles and wrists hurt after the slightest amount of usage.

I am sooo hungry.

Also I had a glass of wine and nearly threw up, I could not handle it.

So, could this be just normal signs of being in my thirties, or could I be pregnant?

Here on behalf of my eight year old, looking to help her with beginning

My kid has been interested in witchcraft for years, usually in a childish way like, wanting to use magic for more toys. But she has gotten more serious about learning witchcraft lately and becoming a witch. Oh I am not wiccan or pagan btw, so I am not sure how to help her.

I have gotten her a couple of kids spell books, some different colored candles and things that the spells require. Any tips on how to explore this with her, or maybe a kid friendly book on the origins of wicca? Good places to get supplies without breaking the bank?

Also I am sorry if this is not the right place to ask, I read that not everyone who practices witchcraft is wiccan. She saw a pentacle necklace and read the back and she asked me if she is wiccan if she is a witch and I said maybe? 🤔

If I were to get the exact same filter but in a different size in theory could I just move the biomedia and sponge prefilter to the new one and be fine?

Same type and everything I just want to increase the gph, basically get a new skeleton for my already established bacteria.

Will these floating plants plus daphnia plus 8 hour timer help with green water?

Normally I heavily *heavily* plant my tanks from the beginning and have not had any algae despite leaving my lights on for like 15 hours at a time. In this case though I only planted a little bit and still left the light on for that long.

No fish in there yet except for one fry I accidentally saved who is not big enough to eat the daphnia.

I do not want to use a UV sterilizer because I want to cultivate copepods and such.

Jumbo the minnow appreciation post.

This is jumbo the rosy red. He is a silly guy and the king of my tank. He has his choice of 3 females but only mates with Tina. He vigorously protects his leaf but lately wont leave this leaf even when the eggs hatch and it is starting to tire him out I can tell. I am worried he wont be around much longer since I read mating can speed up their life cycle and he has not left his leaf for weeks. Anyway, I love my rosy reds but I have the biggest soft spot for this big boy 🩷

Looking at one of my very first tanks pisses me off

It was my third tank and my largest. 55 gal. I was terrible at aquascaping. I made it father fish inspired. I have since rescaped my smaller ones to be nicer. But the 55 gal is so deep and tall when I try to rescape it is difficult to reach. The sand is compacted so when I try to replant I just kick sand and detritus around and the plants float up and it takes some other plants with them.

One day I will spend a whole day fixing this thing but Today is not that day. Anyone else have a tank like that?

Impulse buy cause look at the girl

I've actually long cycled this tank in preparation for a betta for my kid, but I wanted the plants to grow in and the bulbs to sprout before getting an inhabitant. But I saw this spunky girl and I could not resist. The tank is a month old dirted tank cycled with gunk from my other tanks and healthy colonies of detritivores.

Anyway this is Ponyo! I tried to make the tank a happy medium between my kids ideal tank and a betta's ideal tank.

I did not mean to make this a jarrarium I just wanted to put my pothos cutting in aquarium water

But then I noticed copapods so I added some leaf litter and duckweed as an experiment. They are still going strong plus now I am noticing detritus worms

Sorry for this image... please help 🤢

I cannot get rid of these mf german roaches in my apartment, and I really do not want to unplug my heaters and filters since they are attracted to the power... but omg, I have tried all different kinds of bait and inhibitors and I CANNOT ELIMINATE THEM. They are multiplying near all my tanks instead! Do I just... give up on my tanks on this point?
