I was back and forth between two different optic blasts... I settled on the one less likely to fall and crush Professor X.

I love when an official set can be repurposed into something that, for various reasons, would never be licensed by Lego. First Halloween decoration is up!

A few days ago I modified the X-Mansion set so that the left side was completely demolished. I set aside the Danger Room build to modify into a free standing diorama. I've seen a similar idea on Rebrickable, but l wanted something more compact. The composition is also inspired by Jim Lee's Danger Room image from the 1992 X-Men trading card set, but with the late 1970's version of the team.

I reworked 76292 (rebuilt the left side as demolished, roof is wiped out, added in two sentinels). At some point I'll repurpose the now removed Danger Room as a small stand alone display piece.

I finished up the transporter room portion of the new Star Trek bridge set (it's actually bags 1 & 2 so I technically went back) and once again added some guest stars (some official, some custom). I liked this set overall and am hoping they speed up the frequency of Star Trek sets a bit in 2027. I need some Borg/Movie era ships/midi-scale Defiant...

I know the lack of floor caused some controversy, but I really like the new Enterprise bridge (#11385). In anticipation I prepared some guest stars to include. Tonight I'll get to work on the transporter room.

Not bad for a deep discount find at Target. I'm still not certain what One Piece is but this was a fun build...

Now I need to source parts for one of the great Peugeot builds from Rebrickable...

The X-Files set (#21369) has interesting "removable Lid" style box that I've never noticed before in a Lego set. I've bought sets from many different lines over the last few years. Has this existed for a while and I've been oblivious? Is it a European thing that snuck over here? The bags are all back to plastic too. Anyways, I kind of like it. Unless its adding cost to the final product 😐

I moved around a couple of pieces and added in a connection piece and a vent... and armed Scully with that circular saw... Now on to the main set...

Byers needs a different color hair and beard, and I'll look for another face for Frohike (Harry Potter isn't quite right) but for the moment this works for me and will complement the new Lego set nicely.

I think their main issue was with my suggested set name: The Avengers: Doomsday, 76355: Namor Fucked Around and Found Out. Or maybe they were all worked up about spoilers. I don't know. I'll try harder next time.

Although I'm definitely getting the new sets, I wanted to mock up the main three until then. (Reversed Thor head for Steve, with painted shoulders for the t-shirt, Thor is from the 76248 Quinjet set with substitute arms, hair and a home made Stormbreaker)

I need to find some more "five O'clock shadow" looking heads for Hal, and I guess he's a Porsche fan now, but it works.

Although, they aren't wrong. That is something I'm interested in seeing.

My wife found this yesterday at Home Goods and made the call and I'm grateful to her. There is an updated version coming soon, but I don't think its quite so large and with this fantastic slip cover. I put off buying this for two years because of the $175 price tag but for $50 it's a steal.

Three favorites that I've been holding off on buying but this was the right price. I've got mid-summer viewing lined up.
