Poor performance review after 90 days is really getting in my head

I work in the deli, and i close production every night. just passed my 90 a few days ago. Thought I was doing a pretty good job. My manager pulls me aside before my shift yesterday for my 90 day review. She said I'm "struggling" with closing the production room despite me just hitting my 90 days, and that Im falling behind and she expects more from me at this point.

The only thing I really knew about was one of the drains needed to be cleaned better, which is hard to do bc sometimes I can't get it unclogged. Even She also mentioned other minor things that were brought to my attention for the first time.

She also said I needed to move faster she was surprised i take so long to clean the production and she said usually the closer is able to do all the prep and because I cant and they have to shut down production early because of that.

She also mentioned at times the dishes haven't all been cleaned well enough, but I spend a good 2 hours doing dishes every night. Most of the time theres a full days worth and it takes forever to scrub them all.

she also said that I wasnt "picking up on everything" in the chicken room. So that day i did chickens and she basically said i had to "prove myself" that i could handle it whatever that means.

honestly it's really getting in my head and making me question my competence. Like I genuinely thought I was doing a good job, I have gotten compliments from other managers in the store on my work ethic, told that im very thorough and the room looks super clean whenever I leave. Then my manager just dropped all of that on me and told me to "prove myself" in the chicken room. and it just made me feel like I'm slow or something. Ik closing production isnt that hard. I'm not sure what to do but it's just really bothering me and would love some encouragement or advice.

plz help me close the deli faster

Question/discussion. How to close production room faster and a quick vent at the bottom.

I mainly close the production room, sometimes the chicken room but will focus on production room here. I work 5-10pm and it takes me around the 4 hours and 30 minutes to get everything done. start to finish, From 5-6:30 I break down boxes, take out trash, label stuff, get everything out, sweep. I take my break around 6:30. I also always check the displays and make sure they're full whenever I have extra time. When i get back from break I start dishes about 7pm. and finish dishes around 8:30ish. There's sometimes a full days worth of dishes so it can take awhile. Clean the sinks, open floor drains, start spraying everything down at 9pm and reline trashes/do drains at 9:40pm, any last minute stuff at the end and clock out at 10pm.

My manager said because I take the full 5 hours to clean they have to stop production early so someone else can do prep, and basically said I need to work faster and that my coworkers are able to get a lot more done than I can, basically saying I'm the slowest one to close production.

I dont understand how people have time to also do prep before they start cleaning with the 5 hour time window? So this is the way I structure my closing shifts. Does anyone have a similar process and have tips on how to do it faster?

just a side note/vent: it is so isolating to close the deli by yourself every night. All my shifts are 5-10. Is this normal to have all closing shifts? Like I come in, I clean by myself, and barely make enough money to get by. It feels like I'm just there to clean up and then hear about what i did wrong when I see everyone. Im thinking about transferring departments bc of this. Is this something worth looking into? Idk hopefully someone can maybe relate to that.

F23 nursing or joining the military instead of using my business degree?

Ik that sounds like a lot but I learned the hard way I hate desk jobs and the corporate world in general. Right now I work at Costco and could move into management eventually but I wanna challenge myself to do something else while I'm young. I'm shy and timid and want growth. I also plan on having a family someday. Due to personal reasons I can't make the switch for another year or so but I could start preparing now. Has anyone thought of or made the switch to either nursing or military after college? How do I know if I should and what steps can I take?

what do I do: I really like this guy and I think he's using me. Should I talk to him about it?

Been talking to this guy for a couple weeks and we've only been on one real date and it was a very casual date. the rest has been hangouts at each other's places where we can be physical. He's asked to hangout after midnight before. Besides that one time he's never initiated a date. However he also at times asks me deeper questions about my past relationships and what my goals are, and he even asked me if I want kids. He has a great job and seems like a great guy.

Important to note he told me he got out of a serious relationship like two months ago

I tested my theory about his intentions by mentioning a day we both had almost nothing going to see if he'd plan a date. he still just invited me over to watch tv. I'm starting to really like this guy and realizing he doesnt want anything deep. Idk what to do. I feel like bringing it up could just make things worse for either scenario. But I also don't wanna ghost him or just pretend everything is fine.

how strict is cell phone policy during 90 days

while I was walking to the front to clock out for the night I was answering a text on my phone and I accidentally got in the way of a customer. I had a costco hat on too. and one of the store manager higher ups saw it. i've talked to this manager though, and I think he likes me. i'm normally not on my phone It was just horrible timing. I really care about my job. do u think i could get fired? within 90 day period

Hairnet causing contact dermatitis. Practical solutions?

i have to wear a polyester hairnet and hat for work The hairnet causes my scalp to turn itchy and red. Ive been wearing a cap over it but it looks ridiculous and traps a top of moisture which is really uncomfortable.

Is there a different material for hairnets/ a brand that might be a better option?

I'm afraid I'm messing up bad in the chicken room

this is my second day in training and i feel like i messed up bad. I forgot to take my white gloves out of my pocket in the meat room and they fell on the floor. Not thinking I put them back on, I had put a blue glove over the white gloves but i was handling food in the chicken room and I'm super worried now about cross contamination. Idk if this is serious or if I'm way overthinking it.

I forgot to check the temp for the ground beef too. but I didn't log it.

There's a ton of stuff u have to juggle and i genuinely wanna learn but am just kinda overwhelmed and don't wanna get fired:(

Ik I post here a lot I'm sorry. but do u think these mistakes could get me fired? I'm just picturing like worst case scenario.

Is it ever ok to leave early during your first 90 days?

Ive been a closer in the deli for about a month and have seen everyone leave early if they're finished. When there's someone closing with me we get done much faster.

Sometimes the people I'm working with even encourage it and we'll help each other and walk out when we're finished.

Is this normal? I don’t want to get in trouble but also don’t want to stand around doing nothing if we’re done.

scheduled a 4 hour shift this Sunday?

to my understanding i thought 5 was the minimum for a shift so I'm wondering if this could be a scheduling error?
This is my fourth week working for Costco and all my shifts are only 5 hours and now one is only 4. what the hell? Is this normal? when do shifts typically become longer I'm starting to think I'm doing a bad job.

corrected on closing duties in week 3, worried I’m falling behind?

I'm in my third week in deli and this is my third time closing, and second time closing on my own. I didn't know about that sheet where u sign ur initials saying what you cleaned and i don't really know why it matters. Also I didn't know i wasn't doing a few things correctly like cleaning out the sink drains, suppose to refill trash bags etc. So now the guy I closed with tonight kinda had a talking to me and I'm worried I'm not doing as good as i thought i was. He was just surprised and thought I had closed more often than that I guess. Sometimes I worry I'm gonna get fired

new hire first time closing deli tonight, what to expect?

Going into my third week since starting in the deli and I've mostly been in production from like 12-5 but this week they're having me close 5-10. I don't wanna go in and have to ask everything as everyone else has been there awhile.

I was just wondering what to expect tonight and what sort of things to make sure I get done? Also if we finish before 10 are we allowed to leave or do we have to stay the whole shift? Some ppl have said they've been leaving at like 8-9 pm. Thanks!

dating feels impossible

I haven't dated in years and it's mostly because I'm scared my partner will judge my eating behaviors. I know this is totally unreasonable but the last person I dated just thought I was super boring or strange bc my anxiety around food and that I wouldnt eat certain foods. It really stuck with me and I just stopped putting myself out there bc I see new couples getting pizza, fast food, making pasta and I think I could never do that without panicking. I just stick to super simple foods that I know exactly whats in them and feel "safe". It bothers me when I think about all the events Ive missed bc I don't wanna be pressured to eat the food. It makes it harder to maintain friendships then when I was like 13 and didnt have issues with food and would go to friends house's and stay up late and eat whatever without worrying. But now I don't think like that and its WAY harder to make friends. honestly I hate that I live this way but it's like I go crazy if I don't. I'm not underweight anymore, I'm actually at a perfectly normal weight but even tho I don't look anorexic now the anxiety around food is still very real and I feel like it can never go away.
Ik it's really something I need to talk to a therapist about. I haven't done that yet but it's something I need to do. but I wanted to come here and vent.

Shopping right after work- anything I should know?

I just started working here in the Deli and when i got off work and after i clocked out i grabbed a cart and decided to shop but i still had my bags with me. I'm starting to overthink that it could look like I was trying to steal something. I went thru the checkout like normal tho and showed them my receipt.

Could I get fired? Just don't wanna lose my job because there was a rule I didn't know about.

F23 scared prolonged disordered eating and social isolation ruined my brain forever?

TL;DR really scared about my future and health from prolonged eating disorder and isolation. Weight and environment are stable now but i struggle with brain fog, blurry vision, concentration, etc. i worry that ive caused irreversible damage like early onset dementia or something. I'm just really scared and looking for help.

context: have had ongoing issues around food for 5+ yrs. I ran cross-country in high school and college. The college I went to was far from home and after starting college I struggling with multiple injuries that eventually led to me quitting the sport.

in college after i quit running my weight normalized but I lost connection with my cross country friends. Also-- my roommate situation was becoming toxic. which was partially my fault fr i was 19 and hadn't learned how to clean that well lol.

i slowly stopped interacting with ppl without the structure and the roommate thing was getting worse. so went weeks without talking to ppl sometimes and just stayed in my room all day. i didnt even notice bc there was nobody looking out for me. it went on for like two yrs i hardly ever went out. my social skills were gone. even tho my weight was ok (honestly i gained a lot for awhile) I still struggled around food and how my body looked which made me not wanna go out.

around my 21st birthday I was prescribed medication for depression called bupropion. I lost a bunch of weight on it, became underweight again, plus it messed with my sleep a lot.

i got a real job near graduation and then realized how frankly, under a rock and slow id become. like just really bad social anxiety, memory problem, word recall, etc. so i got prescribed adderall to help with that and it worked but when i tell u my health slowly went to complete shit i looked awful.

it led to me quitting that job, moving back home, selling everything and getting off all the meds. i got a job in a deli at a good retail store. Being home means i get to regularly interact with my family, have more structure and support.

it's been a few months I still have a lot of trouble concentrating and sometimes catch myself totally spacing out, having dizziness and blurry vision, brain fog etc. I'm really scared about my future and health right now. im worried ive caused irreversible damage like early onset dementia or something. I'm just really scared. I lose my ability to think for myself I don't see a point in living anymore

What advice would u give to a f22 year old that has really strong legs and weak glutes, and is struggling to feel glutes with any exercise? What would typical progression look like?

These are what I've been doing so far (only body weight) that work ok:

lying hip abduction, single leg deadlift, single leg split squat, glute bridge, side plank

I don't know how to make any progress or get a good workout. Goal is to build lean muscle.

I just feel stuck and could really use some guidance. help is appreciated! :)
