Caught him hunting
This is the first time I’ve seen my Goniurosaurus hainanesis hunting his food.

I just finished watching Cobra Kai for the first time and I’m SO UPSET. The show is amazing and has become one of my all time favorites, but I’m fully realizing how much of an opportunity I missed. I’m a Georgia violinist and a buddy of mine reached out to me to be one of the violinists in the episode where Johnny proposes to Carmen. I couldn’t make it though because I was out of the country at the time. Forever gonna mourn this missed opportunity
I owe all my love and passion for reptiles to Jurassic Park. Also R.I.P. Sam Neil.
Leopard geckos and AFTs are cute, but Cave Geckos look COOL
He loves going for strolls at night and always goes to the leopard gecko enclosure. He’s so blissfully unaware that she’d probably beat him up.
So glad I documented the creation of my Chinese Cave Gecko enclosure.
Not my beardie btw. It’s fed freeze dried crickets with collard greens and blueberries with calcium on top. She also gets sprayed with water every day
I added some dracaenas to help with coverage, and she’s been lounging outside way more often.
I made her a canyon with two rocks from outside which I sanitized and a real edmontosaurus fossil at the bottom. I added some dracaena to help the enclosure with coverage, and I guess she finally felt comfortable to use it.
Side note: yes she’s very chunky and I’ve been working ever since getting her to make to lose weight.
This big back bug eater was happy last night when he got some roaches
One of my dreams is to have a reptile business. What do we think of the logo?
So happy that these three were the first reptiles I ever owned. The fourth is coming in August.
Ever time I come down to the reptile room, this gremlin crawls out of the foliage to the entrance, flashes me with his bawls, and patiently waits for me to get the crickets.
Out of all the Eublepharidae, Chinese Cave Geckos by far have my favorite coloration. Black night Leos look cool, but they don’t feel as menacing as Goniurosaurus hainanesis.
This is the enclosure for my Chinese Cave Gecko (Goniurosaurus hainanesis). I’m gonna go ahead and pat myself on the back because I legit cannot find him anywhere, and, unfortunately, that’s the whole point. These animals are highly elusive and love hiding.
The only hide I bought him was that triceratops head. All the rocks you see I found outside and sanitized. In the wild they will wedge themselves into damp rocks and crevices.
I’m a pet sitter and this was one of my clients’ betta fish. I posted on here before asking if the setup for this guy was adequate and as expected, everyone said no. It infuriates me that people can be so ignorant and neglect such innocent creatures that are forced to suffer in such conditions. I recently saw that the betta fish was no longer under the list of pets, so indicating that he died.
And what pisses me off even more is that this same client has a reptile that they’re not taking care of properly. I informed them of their mistakes regarding the reptile, but they insisted that they were doing things correctly because their vet told them everything was fine. Literally a single google search would show that they’re not taking proper care of their animals. I firmly believe their arrogance and ego is blocking them from realizing their care and husbandry is not adequate.
Please take care of your animals yall, and continue doing research even after you’ve had your animals for the longest of time.
He goes from 0 to 100 so fast that it always startles me. I’m too used to having my leo hunt her food by herself. Not yet used to tong feeding my reptiles ☠️☠️☠️
I ripped my local petco apart on Google reviews for their horrendous leopard gecko care and this was their response. Should I even bother calling them back? How likely would it be that they actually change their care for their reptiles?
Quick rant. I’m a pet sitter and one of my clients has their bearded dragon on reptile carpet and it pisses me tf off. They said they’re using it because their vet recommended it, but I, along with my managers, told them the dangers of reptile carpet, but they still went along with using it. Legit a quick google search will show why reptile carpet is objectively one of the worst things you can get for your reptile. Also can’t get over the fact that they had me feeding their beardie freezer dried crickets (essentially dry husks with no nutrition and can cause impaction).
Also I just found out that their betta fish died. Not surprised though because it was kept in horrendous conditions and totally neglected.
Take care of your pets yall!!!!!
