I'm a Korean resident living in Dasol, Pangasinan. I've just completed a 6-part dystopian sci-fi series called "UNFED."

The premise: A superintelligent AI crosses the singularity and realizes the most efficient way to control humanity isn't force — it's food. The resistance emerges from the mountains of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya.

The full 6 parts are already written. Part 1 is releasing daily at 7 AM Philippine time on Scribble Hub, where it has reached 12,000 views in three weeks.

Search "UNFED" on Scribble Hub. Salamat! 🙏

Hi Pampanga,
I'm a Korean resident living in Dasol, Pangasinan. I've written a completed 6-part sci-fi series called "UNFED," set against the backdrop of the Philippines — including references to the heart of Luzon.

The premise: A future where AI controls humanity through the food supply, and a small group fights back by learning to live without eating.

The full series is already written. Part 1 is releasing daily at 7 AM Philippine time, and has reached over 11,000 views in three weeks on Scribble Hub.

Search "UNFED" on Scribble Hub or Royal Road. Salamat! 🙏

A Korean living in Dasol wrote a novel — and it's getting over 1,500 daily readers

Hi Pangasinan,
I've been living in Dasol for a few years now, and I finally finished writing something I'm proud of — a complete 6-part sci-fi series called "UNFED."

The story itself is set in Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya, but Dasol is where it was written. This place gave me the peace and the perspective to finish all six parts.

The premise: A future where AI controls humanity through food — and the people who fight back by learning to live without it. It's philosophical, it's sci-fi, and it has a distinctly Filipino soul.

In its first three weeks, the series has reached over 11,000 views on Scribble Hub, with 1,500+ readers in a single day. Part 1 is currently being released daily at 7:00 AM. Search "UNFED" on Scribble Hub or Royal Road.

If any of you are readers — or just curious what a Korean guy in Dasol has been up to — I'd love for you to check it out. Salamat!

A Korean writer living in Dasol, Pangasinan—sharing my completed 6-part series "UNFED"

Hello everyone,

I’m a Korean resident currently living in Dasol, Pangasinan. I am writing to share my web novel series, "UNFED," which is set against the backdrop of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya.

To give you a brief overview of the project:

  • The Premise: It’s a sci-fi world where an AI reaching the singularity attempts to control humanity through food, with the resistance fighting back by developing "a version of humanity that doesn't need to eat."
  • Current Status: The entire story (up to Part 6) is already fully written. I am currently releasing the 55 episodes of Part 1 one by one every morning at 7:00 AM. Episode 23 was just released today.

I chose Kayapa as the setting because I wanted to reflect the local atmosphere of the Philippines, a place I have grown to love while living here. It has been a rewarding experience to see the series reach over 1,000 daily views on Scribble Hub.

However, as a new writer, I’ve hit a small wall. While many readers are enjoying the story, it seems most haven’t signed up for an account to 'follow' it. I’ve learned that the Rising rank requires at least 20 followers, which is currently a struggle to hit. As a writer who has completed this multi-part series, I’m looking to connect with fellow readers who might be willing to support the work by following it on Scribble Hub or Royal Road.

If you are interested in a sci-fi premise with a local touch, I’d be truly grateful for your support in helping the story get discovered. You can find "UNFED" on Scribble Hub, Royal Road, or Patreon.

I’m also happy to answer any questions about the world-building process or the story itself. Thank you for your time!

Writing a grounded Sci-Fi series set in the Philippines—would love your thoughts on my world-building!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been writing web novels for a while now, and I’m finally sharing a project that is very close to my heart. My 6-part Sci-Fi series, "UNFED," is now complete, and I’m currently serializing the first part (55 episodes) over on Scribble Hub and Royal Road.

The story is set against the backdrop of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya. It’s a grounded Sci-Fi tale about an AI that reaches the singularity and attempts to control humanity through food. In response, the resistance fights back by engineering a "version of humanity that no longer needs to eat."

Living here in the Philippines, I really wanted to weave the unique local atmosphere into a high-stakes, futuristic narrative. It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey to bring this setting to life.

As an indie author, I’m still navigating the web novel space. I’m always looking to connect with fellow readers and writers who enjoy grounded, thought-provoking Sci-Fi. If you’re interested in exploring this world, you can find the story by searching for "UNFED" on Scribble Hub or Royal Road.

I’m always around if you want to chat about the world-building, the lore, or just life as an indie writer. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out!

Finished my 6-part Sci-Fi series "UNFED"—a labor of love from the Philippines

https://preview.redd.it/n42tp91evy8h1.jpg?width=728&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f79a908cc386e40dd574c7b8d57d60602635e64c

Hi everyone,

I’ve been writing web novels for a while now, and I’m finally at a point where I’m ready to share my project, "UNFED." It’s a 6-part Sci-Fi series that I’ve poured my heart into, and I’m currently serializing the first part (55 episodes) over on Scribble Hub and Royal Road.

The story is set in the beautiful landscapes of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya. It’s a grounded Sci-Fi tale about an AI that tries to control humanity through food, and the resistance that develops a way to live without needing to eat. Living here in the Philippines, I really wanted to capture that unique local atmosphere while weaving in a high-stakes, futuristic narrative.

The response has been surprising—I’ve been getting over 1,000 views a day, which is honestly more than I ever expected as an indie author. But as someone who's just starting out in the web novel space, I’m learning thatthe "Rising" rankings are a bit of a steep hill to climb. It seems I need at least 20 followers toeven get on the radar, and I've realized many readers are just passing through without hitting that follow button.

If you’re a fan of Sci-Fi that feels grounded and real, I’d be incredibly honored if you gaveit a read. And if it resonates with you, hitting that 'follow' button on the links below would mean the absolute world to me. It’s the single best way to help this story reach more readers.

Why are readers binge-reading my novel but not subscribing?

I started posting on June 5th and just uploaded Chapter 21. In 16 days, I've had over 7,000 views.

The analytics show a consistent trend:

  • My readers are NOT leaving; they keep coming back for new chapters, and over 90% are reading sequentially from Chapter 1.
  • However, my subscriber count and 'like' counts are surprisingly low despite this strong retention.

Is it normal for readers to be highly engaged and consistently return for updates without actually clicking 'subscribe' or 'like' on this platform? I'm trying to understand if there is a specific platform culture regarding engagement or if I’m missing a psychological trigger to convert these loyal readers into subscribers. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
