My watch keeps reverting back to factory settings, why?

My watch keeps reverting back to factory settings, why?

Quick preface: I carry my watch around my belt loop on my trousers. Buttons do get pressed from time to time when I lean on things etc

So over the past 3 months or so my watch has reset itself maybe 5 times? Not entirely sure why or if it's a bug?

Right now with it resetting this much it's making the watch a little unusable.

Has anyone else had this problem and are there any work arounds?

Is there any way to turn off favorite watch face?

I carry my watch around my belt loop and have made it so no buttons change anything on the watch... Or so I thought. When I walk around etc do normal life things I keep pressing the favorite button and the watch faces changes without me knowing.

Is there anyway to completely remove this?

Are the likes of Garmin and Suunto the new Casio?

When you look at the back catalogue of Casio something comes rather apparent. Casio used to push the boundaries of what was possible on your wrist. I remember growing up thinking it would be Casio leading this crazy future world with everything on your wrist. I remember they had just managed to put a camera on your wrist in the early 2000's!

If we accept that Casio was all about having long battery life. There are a fair few Suunto models and Garmin models that have fairly long battery life with a combination of some crazy features.

I've just seen the new Suunto core 2 and that to me feels like it encapsulates what Casio used to be doing.

Don't get me wrong I love Casio but part of what made them so amazing were they were pushing the boundaries of what was possible on your wrist. It sadly doesn't feel like that anymore.

What are people's thoughts on this?

Why are there so many posts on here of people saying look at my setup... Only to tell you this very specific brand but only when someone asks...

It's always a Dangbei projector. But only if someone asks. Is this some marketing firms way to get continuously mentioned without being obvious on Reddit?

Remember to change those filters!

Kind of makes me sick to my stomach a little these are the filters from a central London flat. They have an air extraction system in the cupboard. The filters haven't been changed in over 3 years 😬

I have turned every feature off except hourly chime between certain hours

I can't be the only person that has done this, surely?

I love the Ollee watch and for one key feature. I lose track of time really easily. I like the hourly chime but it can't go through the night (for sleeping & partner reasons). So I've always bought watches with 5 alarms so that I could set them at roughly key moments throughout the day.  Now that we have a watch that can chime just through certain parts of the day. My dream watch has finally come true!

I really don't care about the other usual 'features' of the watch. I find it incredible I can turn off literally every other face of the watch and only have the time function with no silly switch between 12/24.

I know it may sound like I'm not maximising all of the features of the Ollee watch, but for me it's created the perfect watch.😂

Feature request. Please could we remap the buttons

I love the watch but would love the light button to be on the right. I love having the light button on the right. It's easier to press if you are right handed. I know for other people they don't care. But I would love love love this as a feature.

Is anybody else like me?

Thank you all for the advice on here. I finally got my first proper watch!

I'm absolutely in love with the Cartier Tank Solo. My first proper watch purchase. I'm so damn happy. Thank you guys for all the great info and knowledge on this subreddit!

If the Luce was wide bodied it would look half decent.

I'm a huge fan of the interior. It is very reminiscent of 70's Ferrari. And I would argue a fairly faith reinterpretation.

The exterior is less than desired. It's far too narrow and up right. But with a little work. It really is a crazy looking car. In a good way.

Looks like I should have replaced the intake manifold gaskets sooner...

Just replaced my Mazda 3 1.6 bk intake manifold gaskets. It's been rough idling for a while. About 6 months, but it got me from the UK to Senegal and back...

I was quoted £700 to do the job... So I thought I would give it a crack.

I thought it would be tough and I would be without a car for possibly a few days. There wasn't a huge amount of tutorials for this engine online. So I went in a bit blind, other than a bit of basic mechanic knowledge, brake cleaner and going slow. Managed to do it in under 2 hours and the hardest part was finding the bolt that went missing...
