I have a question for the English-speaking fandom

In the Spanish-speaking fandom, there's a very strong tendency to pretend that Uprising isn't just non-canon, but doesn't even exist. Every time it's mentioned, people are quick to ask, "What sequel are you talking about?" "There's only one Pacific Rim movie," and things like that. The contempt goes that far, and I wanted to ask: is it the same or similar with you? Do you also prefer to feign ignorance when Uprising is mentioned?

It's not Pocahontas with aliens

I created this meme as a response to Spanish-speaking haters who always repeat the argument that "Avatar is Pocahontas with aliens," and it's a very repetitive and annoying argument. I made the original meme in Spanish, and this is actually a translation.

For more context, Gonzalo Guerrero was a Spanish sailor who was shipwrecked in Yucatán, Mexico, was captured by Mayan groups, adapted to their culture, married a native woman, had children, refused to return to Hernán Cortez's side, and fought against the invading Spaniards.

I never liked Rexy/Roberta's "ending" in Dominion.

Troodons would make excellent antagonists

Picture a dromaeosaur dinosaur, smaller than a velociraptor but far more intelligent—intelligent enough to start fires with the remains of a campfire—also more discreet and stealthy, a trait amplified by its nocturnal habits, and with a paralyzing venomous bite that leaves you unconscious while it rips open your stomach. Something like that would bring back the terror factor that a certain group of fans is asking for.

Does anyone else think Powerhouse Studios would be the perfect studio for an animated adaptation of Absolute Wonder Woman?

Absolute reverse Flash? (Absolute Flash #14) Spoliers

At the end of the issue, we see that although Wally and Linda escaped the Mirror Dimension, they left behind a couple of evil duplicates, which, it seems, are generated every time someone enters that dimension. How likely is it that this evil version of Wally will escape and become the Reverse Flash of the Absolute Universe? It would be a true reversal in a couple of ways, and that would change the meaning of the visions of the future that Wally had a few issues back.

Avatar would have worked better as a trilogy, or even two.

Although I thought the third installment was better than the second, I still feel there's something wrong with this saga. For starters, the long wait to continue the series diminished some of the audience's interest, and while I liked how they brought Quarich back, I feel that having five films with the same threat and the same villain can get a bit boring, and this third part showed that we can have more conflicts than just Na'vi vs. humans.

I think that instead of focusing so much on further improving the visual aspect (which really wasn't that necessary) and waiting almost a decade for it, they should have continued the saga with a couple of sequels that showed a conflict between Na'vi clans, perhaps introducing the Mangkwan earlier as antagonists with a kind of veneration for human technology, and once that trilogy was completed and that conflict dealt with, take their time to return with a second trilogy focused on the return of the sky people and the new conflict with humanity.

It's not that I'm not enjoying the saga, but it does have some things that could be improved, and I really think they could have given us an interesting story that allowed us to get to know Pandora without humanity's interference.
