Literally just opened my inbox to find this garbage. It doesn't matter what you post or where you comment, these random creeps always find a way into the chat requests.
Now, many of you will say just turn off the DM requests. Okay, but even if I take that into consideration, will this unwanted, creepy behavior actually stop ?
**No, they will just go and harass people somewhere else.**
Yes, Reddit is an anonymous platform, but what about self guilt? Is their conscience also completely anonymous and nonexistent?
Do they feel absolutely zero shame acting like this behind a screen? I used to blur out the usernames in my posts, but honestly, I think it's better not to hide them anymore.
People like this deserve to be called out
When guys ask why girls don’t reply to random DMs
I posted a picture showing off a pink dress, and this is what lands in my inbox.
Complimenting my outfit is fine, but immediately jumping to stating your age and anatomy is exactly why our chat requests stay unaccepted.
It’s impossible to just have a normal conversation about fashion without someone immediately turning it s*xual
Just a quick mirror selfie to bless your feed with some pink magic ✨
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how rare it is to find spaces online where people actually treat each other like human beings.
I just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone here who practices empathy, listens well, and stays respectful.
Your kind words and mature discussions don't go unnoticed. You make the internet a better place.
Thank you for creating such a safe and welcoming space.
Decided to skip takeout and build these at home today.
Got a perfect crunch on the patties, paired with fresh lettuce and tomatoes on toasted sesame buns.

I’m new to Reddit.
I’ve been focusing heavily on my healing journey lately, working on yourself, and taking things one step at a time.
As part of building back my confidence and putting myself out there again, I wanted to get a quick fit check on this , might delete it later.
Sometimes you just need to slow down, disconnect, and treat yourself to a warm brownie with ice cream. This was exactly what my mind needed today.

Before you all judge me, please go easy I’m a new Reddit user.I recently posted on another sub about falling for my Mumbai based therapist.
Long story short I went into severe depression after catching my ex of 5 years cheating on me. My therapist has been an absolute gem, single, and 100% professional, which honestly made me fall for him. He's currently down with typhoid, and I was genuinely contemplating visiting him or shooting my shot.
However, after getting a lot of solid perspective and advice from fellow Redditors, I have decided to keep my feelings to myself and NOT approach him. I realize preserving our professional healing boundary is what is best for me right now.

How do I navigate these emotions?
I see him as a safe space, but the romantic feelings are very real and heavy right now.
Please do not suggest changing my therapist. Finding a safe, respectful male therapist in Mumbai who doesn't cross lines is incredibly rare for me (I had terrible, boundary-crossing experiences with two previous therapists before finding him). I absolutely do not want to change him.
Has anyone else successfully navigated a massive crush on a professional while continuing to work with them? What worked for you?

TL;DR: [28F] Caught my ex cheating after 5 years, got into depression, and fell for my professional therapist. After Reddit's advice, I'm keeping my feelings to myself. Need coping strategies to handle this crush without changing my therapist.
Before you all judge me, please go easy,I’m a new Reddit user. I’ve known about the app for a while but never used it, but after IG randomly suspended my account, I finally decided to come here for advice.
I’ve been going through therapy sessions here in Mumbai following a really brutal breakup with my toxic ex. We were together for a good 5 years, but I caught him cheating on me. It completely shattered me, and I ended up spiralling into depression.
My therapist has been an absolute gem of a person. He literally helped me pull myself out of that dark place. Somewhere along the line, I started developing genuine feelings for him. The way he validates and reassures me is just incredibly comforting, and it really left an impression on me.
To be clear, he has always been 100% professional. He has never misbehaved, never given me vibes, and never crossed a single line.
Honestly, his strict professionalism and respect for boundaries are exactly what made me fall for him even more.I recently found out through the grapevine that he is quite unwell and suffering from typhoid.
Is it okay for me to visit him? (Like dropping off a get well soon gesture?)Or should I wait for him to recover, and then try to approach him about my feelings?
Has anyone else gone through something similar with their therapist? I’m looking for genuine, real perspectives.
Please don't judge me.
TLDR , got into depression after a toxic 5yr relationship. Fell for my Mumbai-based therapist because he’s incredibly supportive and professional. He’s currently down with typhoid. Should I visit him, or wait until he’s better ?

New on reddit, finding it difficult. How does this thing work ? Why am I not able to share a post in any communities.
Any suggestions or any advice?
thank you
I am 28F from Mumbai. My ex (35M) and I were together for two years. We met on Bumble, connected instantly, and I saw a future with him.
I trusted him completely and never checked his phone.Six months ago, while returning from a trip, he left his phone in the car to use the restroom. A flood of WhatsApp notifications came through.
Thinking it might be an emergency, I looked. My world shattered when I saw a message from his coworker saying she was pregnant.
I stayed quiet until he dropped me home. When I confronted him over text, he apologized profusely and begged for another chance. I refused. He admitted the affair had been going on for seven months, but offered no real explanation. I ended things, but the shock was devastating.
After blocking him, he harassed me using new numbers and fake Instagram accounts, forcing me to delete my IG entirely.
2 months later, a mutual friend revealed he was also involved with drugs. I feel so stupid and constantly blame myself for being blind to it all.I am trying to move on, but the trauma is haunting me.
Now, my parents have started looking for a marriage proposal, but I am absolutely not ready. I feel ashamed to share this with my limited circle of friends.
How do I stop suddenly anxiety attacks ?
Has anyone faced anything similar?
How can I convince my parents to give me more time without sharing all these painful details?
( I have used CHATGPT to frame it properly )
TL;DR: Found out my boyfriend of 2 years got his coworker pregnant and was into drugs. Broke up immediately, but he cyberstalked me until I deleted social media. Now dealing with betrayal trauma, but my parents are actively pushing for arranged marriage proposals. I am not ready. How do I buy time without telling them the painful truth?
