Hi all played magic like 20+ years ago starting with OG Ravnica but got back in last year. Really enjoy my [[Rootha, Mastering the Moment]] deck and looked to add [[Breath of Fury]] to it. But on further investigation it appears to be a 2 card infinite combo. In my head its a 3 card as you need to have one of your Elementals in play via Rootha to start the train going so would have to have cast another instant or sorcery. Can anyone explain what I'm missing please 😅
EDIT: Thank you for all the responses explaining how it's worked out, this is what I get for actively avoiding infinite combos most of the time a lack of understanding them 😁
EDIT 2: Also to be clear I wouldn't put this in my deck below bracket 4 anyway I thought it was neat, bought the card to upgrade my Rootha precon before properly digging into what it was considered infinite wise. First infinite I've actually intentionally put into a deck.
WIP pic of my next unit for attention.
I'm looking at missions in the matched play guide and options around good units that hit the 10+ unit strength in core to go and grab objectives to score etc.
Finding Grail Pilgrims in Errantry Crusade led by a Paladin and a level 1 Damsel a decent block for holding objectives near deployment zones.
Have considered 10 strong unit of Mounted Yeomen also a passable option with a Damsel in there usually Battle magic and hope for a good roll with an item like Ruby Ring of Ruin to buff damage output in Exiles.
Anyone got any other suggestions for enabling us to score well in matched play? I assume some sort of pegasus brick with characters would be good to go disrupt opponents plans. I've been using Elise Duchard as well to be a good counter magic threat.
