How did you guys become furries? Here’s my story (it’s kinda stupid)

walks into my sister’s room

10 year old me: “Hey, since you can sew, can you sew me cat ears?”

My sister: “Yeah, just don’t become a furry.”

10 year old me: “What’s a furry?”

My sister: “They’re weird people who wear animal costumes.”

10 year old me: “that’s not so bad.”

My sister: “they wear them in public, wear collars, and act like dogs.

10 year old me: “Oh…” still doesn’t see the issue because dogs are cool

goes into my room and looks up “furry” on the internet

10 year old me: “THEY LOOK FREAKING AWESOME WHAT??”

Me now: has multiple fursuits and fursonas.

Showed my parents the entire show. Here’s some of the comments my mother made.

Episode 2: “They’re literally just doing it!”
Episode 4: “This is so gay.”
Episode 5: “This is so gay” (pt. 2)
Episode 6: “Are they gonna do it again?”
Episode 7: “So when do they kiss?”
Episode 11: “Are they gonna kiss in the last episode?”
Episode 12: “HES LITERALLY ON HIS KNEES THIS IS SO GAY! JUST KISS ALREADY!”

After note: “It would’ve made no difference if they actually did it instead of metaphorically doing it.”

Furnace Bakery - short story part 1

Walking in, you’re immediately hit with a wave of amazing smells. Well, that is if you’re human. However, after most humans were wiped out, most people who visit this location are furnaces. Humanoid creatures who have the heads of a furnace. Most of the population is made up of them.

The small shop sells mostly coals, irons, coppers, charcoal, and anything else that a furnace could consume. It was made as a safe place for furnaces to eat, without politics, mentions of the war, fighting, or anything else. At first, it only sold things furnaces could consume, but then a human named Silver came along.

During the early stages of opening the shop, what looked like a furnace at first came and begged to be allowed to work there. He introduced himself as Silver, and with all his constant begging, the shop owner, Baker Furnace, had no choice but to allow him to work. The two of them grew close, and Silver quickly became Baker’s best employee. That’s when Baker found out Silver was wearing a mask. A mask made of a fallen furnace’s head. Silver was human. But because Baker had already grown close with Silver, and Silver had already gained his trust, Baker didn’t throw him out.

Baker even started making food humans could eat, with Silver’s help, and created a small section dedicated to humans. That’s where the smells come from. The soft smell of freshly made bread, or the sweet smell of pastries. Baker loved making human food, even if he himself, as a furnace, could never smell or taste the food. It made him happy to see Silver taste it and say it was amazing.

Eventually, the bakery became a place for furnaces and humans, the few who remained, to eat peacefully. No fighting between them. The shop was a representation of a future where humans and furnaces could get along and coexist, once the human population replenished itself, of course.

[Note from Scenecore]

I recently regained motivation to start writing furnace related stories. I stopped because I was a little nervous that my stories wouldn’t match the current furnace lore. But I realized that I could make my own furnace lore as long as it made sense. I’m gonna start posting stories from the bakery about Silver and Baker soon, this is a little introduction to it. This is not connected to any previous stories posted by anyone else, this is just my own creative work I came up with.

Woah art of me. So cool

When I was Gangle I often took off my happy mask and drew on it. I was also wayyy more careful about not breaking it so I had it on most of the time.

How I remember looking as a gangle fiction kin (not satire)

I honestly hate the “Jax fiction kin” trend, so I decided to draw my own not satire take on it as an actual fiction kin. Here’s a bit of stuff about it!

My ribbon color was more of a blood orange color, and I had a bow.

My comedy mask didn’t break as often, but I would sometimes take it off and draw things on it. After Pomni joined the circus I got really obsessed with the design of jesters, and decided to start adding jester makeup to my mask on occasions.

The jester makeup would normally be blue to match the tears on my tragedy mask.

I really got to stop clicking on posts that are marked “spoiler” and just wait for the next episode to be released for free.

It’s becoming a problem. They’re all clearly marked as containing spoilers, yet I keep ignoring the tags. Why do I do this to myself?

My kin got a (mostly) happy ending!! (Claude from City of Blank)

So City of Blank is officially over, with the authors note being posted yesterday. And I (Claude) got a pretty decent ending! I got out of jail, am now on house arrest (not fun), but I’m also going to therapy now! And I get to visit Glory City every once in a while to see Jericho’s grave, which is nice. Plus I made up with my dad.

I’m really happy with this ending, and honestly the house arrest is kinda deserved. I did some pretty bad stuff not gonna lie.

Also the author said that if they can, they’re hoping to make a prequel that focused on Claude and Jericho, which is PEAK!
