Sports

So there is a baseball league where I live for kids with special needs. They range from wheel chair bound to kids on the spectrum. My child will finally be old enough in the spring to sign him up. He is level 2, he isn’t a traditional eloper, but he doesn’t like waiting in lines or sitting still. Have any of you all signed your ASD child up for a sport and if so, how did it go? My child does really well once a routine is established, he follows it very precisely. He loves being outside and I think he would have fun, but I’m just not sure if I should try or not.

Neighbor blasts music

I live in a townhouse and are all managed by the same management company. Our neighbor to one side of us blasts their tv or music so loud the bass shakes the connecting wall. It never was a thing the first year we lived here and then we renewed our lease, they seem to have also, and now it’s becoming an issue. What would you do if you were us? I literally can’t even watch a movie in my own living room because of them. The only bright side, I suppose, is you can’t hear it upstairs in the bedrooms. Thank goodness.

Only 1 month, which episodes should I rewatch?

I only have Paramount+ for 1 more month, we only got the subscription to watch a movie that just came out. So we cancelled it, but I still have it for a month. So I want to rewatch some of the episodes, but there are so many. What are some of your favorite episodes so I can make a list.

Raspberry Twist interview

Just came across my FYP. I’m a new fan to FS and of Ilia’s. I knew what the move was from watching his skates but had no idea how it came to be or even named after him. Thought this was interesting.

Swim diaper recommendations

What are we putting our older kids in for water play? My son is 4.5 and not yet potty trained and we are going on a trip to FL. We plan to play in the water table and splash pad but a regular diaper just balloons up. I am not worried about him pooping while we are playing but I’m not sure what to put him in since he’s a bit too big for “Little Swimmers” diapers.

Recognize this guy?!?

Watching The Princess Diaries for the 100th or so time and look who I found. Ruzek’s actor, Patrick John Flueger, was in this movie as Jeremiah Hart. He had bright red hair and was nerdy. I am a first time watcher of Chicago PD so didn’t know this actor before now.

People feel way too entitled these days

This comment was left on Derek’s vlog of Everley’s first plane trip to NYC. Fans are wild and social media has made people think they have some entitlement to things that they don’t. I appreciate that Hayley & Derek aren’t sharing Everley’s face on SM. I hope they keep it that way. I don’t love that the other pros share their kids so openly on SM, but that’s for a different day.

Swim lesson success stories

So my son is level 2 and being around water terrifies me. My son loves to try and put his face down and breathe in water. I would like to be able to teach him some water safety. Do you have any success stories of your kids on the spectrum. If I could avoid water forever I would, but we go back to FL to visit family 1-2x a year and my brothers house has a pool. Luckily it does have a locked fence around it but I still don’t let him outside unattended because you never know.

Last stop on tour

I just saw Emma’s post about it being their last stop of the tour. She said it was 111 days. That’s wild. She didn’t seem too broken up about it being over. Haha. I mean, I wouldn’t be either. This tour was way too long IMO. If they’re going to do a tour this long, they need to schedule out breaks for the pros and swap in and out pros. That might help mitigate some injuries too. I hope these pros get to all go in a well deserved vacation and get some R&R.

Moves named after skaters

Okay, kind of a silly question, but how many moves are there named after skaters? I am asking in this group because y’all are a lot nicer than the other sub I am in with these types of questions. I know the Raspberry Twist is Ilia’s move (SO COOL TO SEE LIVE), Ina Bauer (sp?), what others are there? If this is a dumb question, feel free to delete.
