Are the newer and struggling schools just too risky?

All of the recent posts about the issues at numerous DO schools are really throwing me off as a reinventor whose best chances of acceptance are the very schools being critiqued. I don't want to have come all this way just to hit a wall built by a bad administration that covers up their true success rates.

There needs to be like 3 more FL6 type FLs

FLs1-3 are just not representative anymore, and even 4 and 5 have gaps between each other and FL6.

How does Touro assign you a campus?

On the TouroCOM website it says

>You will have the option in the application to apply to a specific campus - Harlem, NY, Middletown, NY, or Great Falls, MT. If you do not select a campus to which you are applying, and select ‘no preference’ TouroCOM will assign a campus to you. You can only interview at one TouroCOM campus.

I'm wondering how they select for you if you choose no preference? Is it randomly assigned, or do they review your profile and put you where they think you are the best fit/have the best chance at acceptance?

Where to get the best mix of Scottish and Mexican fans next week?

Hi all,

My wife and I will be in town next Thursday, and we are trying to find a good place to watch the World Cup that evening.

My wife has Mexican heritage and I have Scottish heritage, so we thought it would be pretty cool if we good find a lively spot that is likely to have a mix of Mexican fans out to watch their game that evening along with the Scottish fans in town for their game at Gillette on Friday.

Any suggestions for where should look?

People like to say, "She's hot, he's not", but the reality is most couples in the LS are "He's not, and she's also not"

I'm just not seeing this big fitness discrepancy between the sexes y'all are talking about.

Have to retake - what to do about FL retake inflation?

I'm just aiming for 500+.

Last fall I hit that on a couple of AAMC FLs but then collapsed to 495 on FL5 and decided to void. This spring I redid the FLs and hit 506/500/508/502/498 (FL5 retake 1)/500 (FL5 retake 2)/495 (FL6 original)/500 (FL6 retake).

I felt like I was in a tough spot with trying to measure my real standing with these retakes in the Spring, and I ended up getting a 496 on the real deal in April. I thought I had made real progress, but clearly it evaporated at the end.

I want to try to retake this Summer, but I am really not sure how to measure my readiness at this point given this will be my 3rd or 4th time through these FLs.

Are you just screwed if your problem is "comprehension"?

Say you've done thorough content review, matured Anki, and done multiple classes, but your CARS sucks, and you've lost points as P/S has gotten more CARS like...are you just screwed? Not cut out for it? Need to move on to a different career?
