Accutane 20mg] Dry, red patchy rash on forearms with small crusts , no itching. Is this normal retinoid dermatitis?

Hi everyone!
I’ve been taking Accutane (isotretinoin) at 20mg/day, and recently I noticed these red, dry patches with slight crusting on my forearms. They don't itch or burn, but the skin feels very dry and textured.
Is this a typical case of retinoid dermatitis/eczema from Accutane?
I just bought La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ and Lipikar Baume AP+M to help restore my skin barrier. Has anyone else experienced this, and how long did it take to clear up with heavy moisturizing? Thanks in advance!
P.S. I have already messaged my doctor about this, but decided to ask here in the meantime just to hear your experiences! Also, I don’t have any other side effects, and all my blood tests are completely normal.

Got complimented on my 'natural beauty' while wearing a full face of makeup

I thought this was funny. Today I got complimented on how good I look "without makeup"... meanwhile I was wearing a full face of makeup. 😂
It just goes to show how convincing natural-looking makeup can be.

This is usually my summer makeup when I still want to wear makeup, but not a crazy amount. Just enough to even out my skin, add a bit of color, and look fresh.

Products used:
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
Clarins Concealer
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit: Evil Eye Palette
Dior Highlighter

I guess that's the whole point of the "no-makeup makeup" look. 😄

Different Types of Makeup on My Hooded Eyes

I've always thought that hooded eyes are one of the hardest eye shapes to do makeup on. Over the years, I've experimented with different styles and techniques, and here are some of my favorite looks!

Me at 27 (left) vs at 14 (right)

My previous post had the ages the wrong way around, so here's a new post with the correct ages.
Left: 27 Right: 14
Just got my second passport! The difference between these two photos is 13 years, and I definitely think this can be considered a glow-up. ✨

Makeup for passport photo vs passport photo

Even though it's black and white, I think this makeup was just right!
I was really worried because I usually hate how I look in every official document photo, and my makeup always feels either like it's not enough or it's too much. But this time, I think I finally got it just right!

Advice for under eye wrinkles (I am 27 year old female)

I feel like my under eye area looks so wrinkly and horrible , although I wear sunscreen every day (spf 50), drink a lot of water and use under eye cream every day.
Do you have any skin care tips to make this area look better ? I don’t really feel like doing Botox just yet … or is this only solution ?
Thank you in advance !

28F - can chin lipo help me ?

Hi everyone! I’m 28F and looking into submental lipo to fix a stubborn double chin/heavy lower face that looked awful in a recent ID photo. I feel like my lower face makes me look so much older than my age .
My main hesitation is my anatomy: I have a mildly recessed jaw/low-projection jawline. My bite is totally fine, so jaw surgery is off the table.
Because my bone structure doesn't project far out to pull the skin taut, I'm terrified that just sucking the fat out will leave me with empty, loose skin under my neck.
For those with a slightly recessed jaw, did your skin snap back well after lipo alone at my age?

Did your surgeon recommend pairing it with skin tightening (like FaceTite) or a chin filler/implant to balance your profile?

Would love to hear from anyone with similar anatomy. Thank you!

P.S. sorry for my chapped lips and acne , I am currently on Accutane treatment!

Triggered by "looksmaxxing" and jaw forums into a BDD spiral. Feeling completely deformed and losing the will to live.

Hey everyone,
I’m writing this because I feel like I’m completely losing my mind, and I just needed to share this with people who might actually understand.
For the first 26 years of my life, I lived like a totally normal person. Sure, I had my usual insecurities here and there, but overall, I had a good life. People complimented me, I had no issues dating, and I had great friends. I had very slight, manageable signs of BDD in the past, but nothing that stopped me from living.
Then, I stumbled into the whole online "looksmaxxing" culture and jaw surgery forums. Suddenly, I started analyzing my jaw. I went to a couple of doctors just to check my alignment and found out I have an overbite and a slightly set-back lower jaw. It’s not a perfect, forward-grown Angelina Jolie jawline.
Ever since finding that out, my BDD has been triggered to an absolutely terrifying level. I read all these toxic articles and comments saying our generation has "underdeveloped jaws," and that only people with perfect forward growth deserve to live, be happy, or be desired. It has completely broken me.
I feel so incredibly ugly and so deformed now. It blows my mind and breaks my heart that I lived 26 years of my life without even noticing that there was supposedly something "wrong" with my face, but now it’s all I can see.
I cannot look at myself in the mirror. I can't take photos from the side. I look at myself and genuinely see a deformed person. I don't want to get jaw surgery because I am absolutely terrified of the surgical risks, especially since I have zero functional or medical issues right now. But people on those jaw surgery subreddits keep telling me that if I don't get it now, my face will collapse or I'll have massive health problems in the future.
This obsession has driven me into a deep depression. I've become suicidal. I can't even talk to my family or friends anymore because I feel so isolated and crazy.
I spoke to my psychiatrist, and he officially diagnosed me with BDD and prescribed antidepressants. But I feel so hopeless because I keep thinking, *"*How will a pill help? Even if I take it, my jaw will still be recessed. The physical reality won't change."
I don't even know what I'm looking for by posting this. I guess I just feel so alone in this darkness and wanted to know if anyone else has been driven to this point by online appearance forums. How do you survive this?

Hi guys,
I’m in my mid 20s, I don’t smoke or drink, I exercise regularly, and I eat a healthy diet. Today, I accidentally opened my front-facing camera and was shocked by what I saw.
It looks like my skin is sagging in one specific spot (you can see it in the first picture). I feel like it really ages me and looks quite noticeable.
Should I be considering a facelift at this age, or is there something else I should look into? I’ve also attached pictures of me looking straight at the camera for comparison. Any advice would be appreciated!

I’m looking for advice on whether to push for jaw surgery or just stick with Invisalign. I have a skeletal overbite and recession, but my airways are fine and I don't have sleep apnea. I’ve consulted two surgeons and both told me the same thing: this surgery is too invasive for my situation. They recommended Invisalign to fix my bite and said surgery would be purely for aesthetics if I really wanted it since my recession is not severe.

I’m unhappy with my profile, I feel like I look horrible from the side, but since both experts are hesitant, I’m torn. Has anyone here had a similar case where surgeons discouraged you, but you did the surgery anyway? Was the aesthetic change worth the recovery? Thanks!
