I've seen Social Media feeds claiming that the Democratic Party is now taken over by Islamists and Communists. (El-Sayed, Zohran Mamdani, and Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlailb and others). Are clear examples for it. Conservative Commentators argued that while religious freedom is protected under the 1st Amendment, Sharia Law isn't, because in here in the American constitution, it says this "Congress Shall make no law establishing a National Religion"

Idk, if you're still critical about the DSA or have a Problem with it (In Some Areas I do according to the power of the Internet). Maybe don't vote for AOC in 2028. I to, also have a problem with it because of this whole Abolish the Senate, the SCOTUS and the Executive Branch.

AOC just renewed her National DSA membership after 7 years. Apparently, she was part of the NYC DSA chapter, but the National DSA refused to endorse her in July 2024 for literally "not being too Pro Palestine enough" (Her voting present on sending US Military aid towards Israel might be one of them, where she cried). Many politicans who were aligned with DSA campigned on key policies such as Medicare for all, green new deal, cutting off us military aid to Israel, keeping big money out of politcs as well as abolishing ICE (many of whom won primary elections). But abolishing the senate, the scotus & the presidency is where I may draw a line for disagreement. As well as thier stance on Ukraine. Even though I supported Medicare for all, Im cautious about it purely because Medicare covers indivduals that are 65+ & Medicaid is a federal-state joint venture covers low income indivduals & people with disabilities.

Now that I've learnt history of what DSA means, people are concerned that all that can potentially lead to Communism (Socialism is often described as workers controlling the means of production, while the government controls key industries to meet societal needs, but keeps some private property intact). Critics say socialism is a failure, because look what happened in the Soviet Union, Cuba, China, Venuzela, & North Korea. Supporters site Nordic nations as an example of Democratic socialism, but a ex-Nordic PM said; we are a free market economy with strong welfare programs. Based on what I've seen on social media & in general, responses towards DSA are very mixed at best....& then there's Hasan Piker (one of the most controversial livestreamers to ever exist, influcing leftist politcs in the US, bought to you by the same man who said "America deserved 9/11").

Many moderate Democrats feel very alarmed about this, especially once 3 Mamdani backed canidates won primary elections, people chanted you're next when Hakeem Jefferies was on TV expressing his reaction. There's also leaked audio suggesting that he wants the 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson decission to be enforced Nationwide, the white house was involved in presurring todd blanche to rescind the DOJ anti weaponization fund, purely to make sure 2 republican senators get support. Todd blanches nomonation goes to the senate, & one of the Republicans who are planning to support his nomination, are probably one of the same senators that voted for the Epstein files transparency act....

Also, theres another story auggesting that Trump could revoke Biden era funds from the Smithsonian.....When will all of that brainrot stop, were all (including me) are exhausted, & Im currently on vacation outside America from July-August....Also, can republicans or conservatives just leave Joe biden scapegoats as well "anti american" bs alone for; For 5 minutes!!!! This is basically a very dire situation, even though it may sound like pure theater on paper.

This man, whose running for Senate in Michigan as a Democrat, just gave me a 10 minute explanation of what medicare for all really is (Although I may be cautious about it since I have Autism & weather he may or may not, uphold people with disabilites having rights, Medicaid covers peoples healthcare for disabled people, as well as for people with disabilites. Medicare on the other hand covers health insurance for Elderly & older indivduals). However, if you want to see him acutally win, vote for him in the actual midterm election.

We've all heard stories about China succeding in fileds such as infrastructure, Tech, EVs, Renewable energy & manufacturing. Canada became one of the most respected Nations globally since 2025, & the countries that have EU membership are recruiting US scientists.

To me, This is horrifying, but also not suprising since we've heard stories like these since last year, espcially due to the fact that RFK JR. Throughout his life made claims that vaccines caused autism as well as tylenol, Trump claims that climate change Isnt real since he wants to go back to fossil fuels.

Ironically enoguh though, in 1983, there is an EPA Report claiming that climate change could be a threat within a next few years if we dont act, but reagan called it Alarmist....

We've all seen last year where people on social media love to take Trumps comments seriously & interpret it as "he wants to become a dictator" or whatever. Based on what I've seen on Canadian subreddits or whatev, they love to take trumps comments seriously, purely because of this whole "51st state" BS. & accuse them for those who aren't informed as being ignorant, dosent care about civic duty, or just being apathetic...Lets wind back to 2024 during his presidental campaign trail; where he never heard anything about Project 2025, then once he got into power, 54% of its policies got implemented...(voter shaming remember?) This is also coming from the same man who did January 6, faced 34 felonies, & faced accusations from 28 different women.

However, alot has been happening in the US that I had to keep my eyes open, but the problem is I often get stressed out in fear, thinking about utter worse case scenarios that could happen. The result? Just let my family members take away my devices to change passwords & limit my screentime to just 1 hour a day (mainly to preserve my mental well being, I heard that all of that has been described as politcal obession disorder). I also rewatched some Jojos Bizzare Adventure episodes (or clips), & all of that reminded me of DIOS goons, or is it because of the current government acts like made in heaven pucci.

(Worse case scenarios that I keep coming up are: Trump not accepting the 2026 midterm election results, & say they are rigged or declare a national emergency, purely because the Demcorats won control of congress (this is also the year where incumbent democrats lost thier primaries to anti Aipac backed canidates, Democratic socialist canidates, anti establishment caniadates, Whatever you want to call it), the comparisons of Vladimir Putin & Adolf Hitler to trump, alienation of the world, Tourism plummets, Denying entries for those who want to visit the US, Russ vought, RFK JR., Stephan Miller, Scotus rulings, Brain drains, Ice raids, etc.)

Because of this, I was thinking I might become a lawyer or a judge (but my interests keep on shapeshifting), however, concerns are still there & since last year, countries with well funded sciences who have better quality of life, recruit US scientists to capitalize on trumps policies (i.e. Canada, japan, china & the EU), even for those who want to work for the DOJ in 2026 say that its not a good idea, since trump weaponized it to go after dissent (as well as the FBI & DHS)....and I'm just thinking, does all of that ever matter, & what am I supposed to do.... (Im currently on vacation btw.)

Based on what I recalled, I think I commented on the Omb proposals, & all that has to do with institutions like these, is what made America feel very recognizable on the world stage, thanks to peer review & scientific research...Thanks to me being into politcs last year, I was aware of it....

Basically gives politcal appointees the power to dictate money into scientific research, as well as placing heavey limits on international collaborations, civic duty & others....Many of whom described it as being an utter doomsday scenario for the scientific community.

From alienating the world with aggressive tariffs to berating zelenskyy, from the the epstein files to America withdrawing from international agreements, 6-3 Scotus rulings with the gutting of the voting rights act & slaughter.

Last year & this year as well... everything has been hell for me, I watched videos on YouTube (mostly from independent media i.e. hawks podcast, jessee dollarmore, The humanist report, kyle kulinski, factpost, & others), as well as events from reputable news sources about trying to get informed of what's happening from the government, & all of that has me speculating far, far Into the future about utter worse case scenarios....From trump calling antifa as a terrorist organization, to the government going after leftist organizations to the ICC, to concerns that Trump may deploy ice agents to polls to influence elections, as well as fears avout America descending into dictatorship (FYI, rfk jr, hegseth, vought, miller, as well as his advisors fear me)....All of that made me feel very depressed, hopeless, felt down & stressed out (since I'm currently 18, everyones futures are going down the toliet). I tried focusing on myself, & my therapists urged me that its not going to affect me anytime soon, but theres alot happening that I cant take it anymore, I keep on saying that everyone is going to be affected by this...People on social media love to shame trump voters for enabling facism (except for Harris voters)...

I've been trying to get some good news coming out of the US, & so far..All of them are little-none, with most of them being utter doomsday scenarios....All of that has made me feel exhausted.

Zohran Mamdani, being mayor of New York City, are one of the very few things that made me feel good about this country for the time being (making me have hope that everyone in America (regardless of affiliation) deserves to have a better life)...I also commented to urge the OMB to reject its proposal to politicze scientific research....Professor dave (according to that 1 russ vought video) once said: Its happening, its not in the horrizon, it's not a vague possibility...

2025 was the year I got into politics, as well as geopolitics. All of this caused tourism to the US to drop, 75% of scientists surveyed say they want to leave the US, RSF ranked the US at 64/180 on the free press index & has led to massive boycotts about buying thier products, traveling there, as well as buying thier goods...Even though many people use google & youtube....

Trump is basically a very controversial man, his base has very strong support. Canada, since 2025, has been covered in a much more positive light, mainly due to their prime minister as well as their well educated population, with universal healthcare & strong social safety nets, as well as that 1 Davos speech urging middle powers to come together, in order to avoid getting agressed by great geopolitcal powers. Canada is also ranked the highest globally for world peace & multiculturalism...Many Canadians love to take Trump's comments very personally, mainly due to his 51st state comments interpreting it as a threat, as well as them saying Elbows Up; because that's what you get for not carring about others, (he was well received for his foreign policy, although it's domestic policy is mixed). I've been thinking about this. Theres that 1 Superme Court case has been centered around weather the President has power to fire FTC commissioners without cause (Rebecca Slaughter). However, that (since that was only 6 months ago) case also extends to the independent agencies such as the CFPB, FEC, SEC, FDIC etc. As well as altering how government is ran. Observers & reporters singled that they are siding with Trump on that case (with a ruling expected this month or july).

Since this is Smithsonian related, the Smithsonian, based on my memory & research, was created by Congress in 1846, as an educational institution to be independent from the Executive branch & has the board of regents. However, they are instances where thats not always the case, such as Trump presurring the Smithsonian to alter history regarding slavery as well as presurring the Smithsonian to hand over thier records for review (theres a reason why I went to the black american museam back in Labor day weekend last year).
