Dawna ‘very seldom’ buys stuff she doesn’t need
LMAO
How can she even say this with a straight face????

LMAO
How can she even say this with a straight face????
When I have heartburn, I take antacids and drink water. I can’t imagine having a milkshake when I already feel sick.
Side note: Why even mention the pregnancy thing? It feels almost like pregnancy baiting but she’s always talking about menopause. Why even mention it?
I’ve probably have had UC for years but was diagnosed with IBS and only recently got correctly diagnosed last year.
When I get cavities filled, specifically my bottom molars, my mouth seems to freak out and not let the inflammation go down. It makes my treated area really sensitive to any pressure, flossing, and cold. Before I was diagnosed with UC, I ended up getting a root canal because a filling would not calm down. I still feel like I’m getting phantom pains at times.
I’m having the same issue again with another filling with a molar and I’m wondering if maybe it’s the UC slowing healing way down?? I looked around online but the only thing I could find was it autoimmune diseases can cause dental problems and diseases but not anything with slow healing. Dental problems can come from taking steroids, specifically prednisone but I’m not on any and only took them once when I got diagnosed.
Curious if others have this issue or if it’s another weird thing with my body?
My parents didn’t teach me anything about financial literacy or investing so I’ve been learning on my own and finally got to the point where I wanted to open a HYSA.
When I was researching which bank to open one with, I was most interested in Fidelity because I already have an IRA with them and they have physical buildings if I needed help. I opened a cash management account and it was advertised having an interest rate of over 3%, which was lower than a HYSA but I figured it was fine. I’ve transferred a some of my savings and it looks like it wants me to buy stocks? Or maybe I have stocks in SPAXX?
I’ve tried looking for answers in this sub but everyone seems way more knowledgeable about this stuff and it’s going over my head.
All I’m wanting is a higher interest rate than what I’m getting at my big bank savings account.
Tomato upsets her family’s stomach, yet she makes spaghetti once a week? You can easily do a different sauce.
Just lying to lie.
I don’t have very much contact with my Q since she’s an in law but she texted me today to ask if I would consider getting a new wedding ring without a diamond. She said it was because “diamonds are made from bodies of tortured and murdered children”. She said that’s why Trump is fighting the war so hard so he can get all those children out of there, including the diamond ones. Then she sent me a horribly made image of Trump talking about a thief robbing a jewelry store will take the diamonds and that’s wrong.
I didn’t respond to her because I’m flabbergasted. Like yes there are companies that can use ashes to create diamonds, but there’s no evidence of a country taking children to make gems. Even if there was evidence, you’re going to reach out to someone you really only acknowledge during the holidays to tell them to get rid of their wedding ring?
I’m tired y’all. She is beyond saving and everything out of her mouth is cuckoo.
My cat (3 years, male) started sneezing and having watery eyes 3 weeks ago. He’s had this happen occasionally and I’ve been told to mix in l-lysine with his wet food twice a day. I did this for a week and his symptoms left so I stopped.
A few days after stopping, he started sneezing and coughing so I took him to the vet. She listened to his lungs and felt around and said he seemed healthy so it could be allergies. She gave him a steroid shot and said to start the l-lysine again. His symptoms went away in a few days so I stopped the supplement again. She said if the shot didn’t work it was likely a URI.
Last night he started having sneezing fits and super watery eyes and it’s been ongoing today. His other eyelid is showing as well. He’s having these fits a couple times an hour. I added the supplemental to his wet food and it took him a while to eat it but he did. He’s been really lethargic today and burrowing into me all day.
His vet is closed today so I’m wondering what I can do until then to make him more comfortable. He seems pretty down today.
Started in May 2024 at 315 lbs and woke up this morning at 198!!!
I remember seeing these posts when I first started and thinking it would never happen for me, and I would be happy if I could get close or even low 200s.
Turns out pound a week adds up long-term.
After 6 months of fighting with insurance, I finally got Tremfya covered!
I take a glp1 and numb the area before the shot because it burns when I inject. I called the Tremfya hotline to find out if I can numb for this one as well and if I can just do all the shots at the same time to get it over with. After passing me around for an hour, they told me it was a call for my GI.
I’ve left a few voicemails for my GI and it’s been over a week with no response. I know no one can give me medical advice but I’m hoping to hear what others do with both shots.
Dawna has been claiming that she only eats once a day and is only on a glp for menopause 🙄
Within 6 hours she talks about losing weight and how the food noise is at bay to how overeating isn’t her issue and now is eating 2 meals a day.
These two posts from the same day completely contradict each other. Having no food noise allows you to eat less, not more. It’s the whole point of the medicine.
I don’t understand why she’s lying about the reason she’s on the shot?? Like if you feel embarrassed or some sort of way about it, you didn’t need to make using it so public. It’s just such a weird thing to lie about.
I bought a pair of shoes listed as good condition. I tried them on when I got them and they seemed fine. I wore them for the first time today and the back fell off. I had to walk around the office all day with half of my shoe flapping around 😅
Of course it’s outside the return window.
Something I really struggle with is the idea of having to be a working mom. I grew up with a SAHM (I ended up with a lot of PTSD from her but that’s another story) and always envisioned that for myself if I decided to have kids. After lots of therapy, I’ve learned how important the first few years of a child’s life is and ideally I’d like to stay home to give them the best start to life I can.
Looking at our budget, I just don’t see how it’s possible for me not to work to be able to afford a child. With me working we can have close to the same lifestyle, cover daycare, put money in savings, retirement, and have a little extra money to spend.
When I calculate our budget without me working, we aren’t able to put money in savings, we can’t have any debt, and no unexpected expenses can come up. That’s after cutting stuff out of the budget (eating out, subscriptions, allowance, misc spending). We would have to live in a perfect bubble where life just doesn’t happen, which isn’t realistic.
I already feel drained coming home from work and only get about 5 hours of sleep a night for various reasons. I can’t imagine feeling like this, and then getting my kid from daycare to only spend a few hours a day with them before starting it all over the next day. Then the weekend comes and it would be the two days we could spend time as a family, but there’s all the random chores we didn’t get to throughout the week that now need to be done. It sounds so bleak to me.
I know most people do daycare and being a SAHM is rare these days, but I can’t help but feel disappointed.
I’ve been on a GLP1 for over two years and it’s been amazing for me. I’ve lost over 100 pounds and have noticed my period is starting really close to match my placebo pills in my birth control. Before losing weight, I would sometimes go months without my period, even on birth control.
I know you need to be off the shot for 2ish months before trying but I’m so nervous that I’m not able to ovulate or won’t get pregnant and then I’ll start gaining all the weight back. It’s a pain to get insurance to cover and I’m concerned if I stop, I won’t be able to get back on.
I was thinking about going off birth control and test with ovulation strips (use condoms in the meantime) and once I see I can ovulate, stop the shot?
What have other people done?
I know this is such a vague question and really individual but I’m struggling to know when to start TTC solely because of my weight.
I started a GLP1 at a 48 BMI and have lost over 100 pounds and am now at 31, which is still obese. I’ve asked my doctor and obygn what my goal should be before trying and both have said whatever weight I’m comfortable with. I feel like they’re saying this to avoid body shaming and because you can get pregnant at a higher BMI.
I have insulin resistance PCOS so I’ve read that weight loss and getting insulin in check have really help with conceiving. I don’t know if I should wait until I’m considered overweight or a healthy weight?
I’m an anxious planner so I’d like to know what others weight/BMI were when they decided to try.
I have a 2015 and am getting 25 mpg for highway and 19 for city.
Curious to see how mine compares to others.
