idk if i’m doing something wrong but i go to so many social events and i don’t make any friends, im so tired of doing everything solo id love a bestie or a little group. i’ve made posts before but nothing rly comes out of them, id love some genuine people. id prefer to talk on whatsapp then reddit if we click bc i’m more likely to respond consistently.

i dress somewhat hippy+artistic/different to the norm, i love art (drawing, painting, sketching) crafts(embroidery, making journals, anything) nature, music, museums, galleries, parks, animals, cooking, history, philosophy, literature, poetry/writing, deep talks etc. i am a bit introverted until i know people, i value close friendships over a massive group. i love getting to know the real side to people and i value closeness and authenticity, it can take me a while to get out of my shell. i don’t like ai, i want to hear your real thoughts and ideas, not ones from a bot.

i’m vegan so i like to eat at all vegan places. i love music and losing myself in the lyrics/songs, i like mainly indie or rock and some smaller bands (without sounding pretentious)

i live in zone 1 but i’m happy to travel.

i’m trying to feel more confident in my natural skin, so today i went speed dating without shaving, no makeup, and without trying to hide my body shape (i’m chubby/almost plus sized). i felt really confident leaving the house, i wore a comfortable and pretty dress that i love even though my armpit hair and leg hair was showing.

i had some great conversations and voted on people i thought that i had a connection with. at the end of the event no one matched me back. it’s so hard to try and be myself and feel attractive at the same time, i know the two aren’t mutually exclusive but sometimes it feels like they are. and i shouldn’t be basing my worth around men, i know, i’m still working on that. i can’t help but think they didn’t like my looks and it’s the only thing holding me back, since the conversation flowed well.

just kind of wanted a place to talk about this. i feel it’s so hard to find people who can accept that a woman doesn’t want to change her body in order to feel good.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for ages, it’s a vegan ukrainian cafe/restaurant. I regularly go to restaurants by myself but I thought i’d see if anyone else wanted to go together today. I’m 23F for reference

Hi there, im a white british national, recently i’ve been really interested in hinduism and have been researching it independently. I don’t know a lot about it so far so i’m researching and reading, but I would love to go to a temple service. I don’t know a lot about these, how do they work? I know the churches do sunday service, is there an equivalent? What is the best things for me to go to as someone who knows nothing? I don’t want to offend anyone or interrupt anything, I just want to learn more about it.

I’m based in London if anyone has any reccomendations. Google keeps promoting the Iskcon temple but i’d like to avoid this if possible. Thanks

i am going to a spa day with a friend, i am really on the fence about shaving. I haven't shaved in years, but my legs are very pale with thick, dark brown hair that is very noticeable. we will be going to saunas, jacuzzis etc and a pool with water features then we have a massage booked. on the one hand i am feeling like shaving because i feel really awkward going to a spa with my leg hair out, on the other hand i dont know wether to be true to myself and embrace it. im just going to trim my pubic hair so it is not noticeable in my swimming costume and trim/shave my armpits, but my leg hair i am really stuck on.

Thank you u/medjuli the magpie postcard is beautiful, and i’m glad that you held onto it to send to a magpie lover. they aren’t super popular here due to the superstition that one magpie is bad luck, but i just think they are beautiful and very intelligent birds. i have a magpie ceramic cookie jar in my kitchen that i’ve upcycled into a container for cutlery and it’s one of my favourite items that i own

Hi all!

so me and a few people are forming a group to each make a journal, that we will pass on to 6-8 other girls. if you’re unfamiliar with the concept, there are tons of videos online! we already have a few of us, we just need a handful more!

you will make your own journal and decorate it and add in an introduction and some prompts, then each journal will travel to each person who will add to it. then they will get sent back to you and you’ll have a journal full of pages by others!!
