[Request][Steam] Stardew Valley

Hi everyone!

I am 14 years old and I would absolutely love to play Stardew Valley. It has been on my wishlist for a long time because it just looks like a game where I can play for hours and just relax after a long school day. Unfortunately, I don't have any income at 14 and cannot afford it, even though it is currently on sale for around €8.40.

Another reason why this game is perfect for me is my setup. I am playing on an older laptop and I don't have an external mouse or keyboard. Fast action games are impossible for me, but Stardew Valley runs perfectly on weak hardware and can be played 100% with just the laptop keyboard.

I completely understand that nobody is obligated to gift me anything and that is totally okay. I just thought I would give it a try. If someone decides to gift it to me, I would be incredibly grateful. If not, thank you anyways for taking the time to read my post.

Have a great day! ❤

My school laptop is literally disintegrating. Switch to an older ThinkPad T470s?

So, my current school laptop is a 4-year-old Lenovo V14 Gen 3 IAP and it’s absolute trash at this point. The hinges are completely wobbly, the hinge cover is hanging on for dear life, the screen bezel is popping off, and the webcam cover has entered another dimension. It’s so structurally dead that a strong breeze might destroy it completely. Also, it’s slow AF and the battery dies after like 2 hours.

My alternative is my personal ThinkPad T470s. I upgraded it to 12GB RAM, it runs super fast, and it’s built like a literal tank. Plus, since it’s my private machine, I won’t have any annoying school MDM or restrictions on it.

Should I just let the V14 die and switch to the older but reliable ThinkPad, or try to duct-tape the V14 through another school year?

Should I use a Xbox or Ps controller?

Hello! So, I am kinda new to this game. I always had a PS4, but I got a PC a few years ago. I found my PS4 controller again for this game, but it's half broken (R1 and R2 are both broken). So my question is: should I buy a PlayStation or an Xbox controller, and is it hard to handle an Xbox controller?"

Nothing phone 4b better than the 3(a)?

Will the Nothing Phone 4b, or the (b) series in general, be better than the 3a and the (a) series? Or should it replace the Lite series?

Are 30 euro worth it?

Is it worth spending the full 30 euros on MX Bikes? I know there's only one developer, but 30 euros feels like a lot for this game. Without mods, the game would be nothing. But I've already played it, and it is a good game. However, the crack (cough cough) is ancient and barely gets any updates.

Anyone else completely split between stock icons and the Nothing theme?

I honestly love both. The original dark Nothing icon pack is beautiful and gives the phone its identity. But the normal, colorful app icons also look amazing on this device. I feel like a Nothing Phone needs the original look to feel complete, but I keep switching back to stock. What’s your opinion on this?

Best old Phone to jailbrake?

I just want a old cheap iphone to jailbrake not as a main phone just as a project but I don't want anything new like a 10 or 13. Is it possible to jailbrake a iphone 8 or 7 plus with Dopamin?

What phone should i buy?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a refurbished Android phone with a budget of around €300 (can stretch it by €10–20 if it's really worth it).

My main priorities are a solid battery life and a decent camera. I don't play mobile games at all; I just use my phone for social media, texting, calling, and taking photos. I really like the Pixel lineup (had one before) and am currently leaning towards a refurbished Pixel 8.

I just found a deal for a Pixel 8 in "Excellent" condition for exactly €250. Given my usage and the price, should I grab this immediately, or is there a completely different brand/model around €300 that I should look into instead? Thanks for the help!

Pixel 8 or 7 Pro

I could either buy a Pixel 8 renewed on Amazon for €260, which in my opinion is practically a steal, or a Pixel 7 Pro renewed for €300. I don't play any intensive games; I mainly use my phone for social media and some photography. What would you recommend?

Grown man lost his mind over a single downvote.

Context: I’m a student, I don't have a job, no car, no friends to hang out with, and I live in a dead town with absolutely no events. I asked Reddit for advice on what to do alone during summer break.

This guy just told me to "find friends". I made a sarcastic "Captain Obvious" joke back. He got a few downvotes, assumed it was me, and completely imploded.

First, he edited his comment to complain about the downvotes and literally wrote "You deserve to fail and you will". I politely asked him what his problem was and told him I didn't even downvote him. Then he edited it a second time to "With an attitude like yours you'll fail". Finally, he spent hours rewriting everything into this insane 1980s boomer checklist, calling a teenager a "whiny bitch" in the middle of the night.

The screenshots show his final massive edit and my reply before I walked away. Imagine being this fragile over a single downvote in 2026.

Pixel 8: Insane image retention / fake screen?

Hey guys,

Bought a refurbished Pixel 8 in "Excellent" condition from a seller I usually have great experiences with. The phone looks brand new, but the screen is acting crazy.

If I use the phone for just 30 minutes at medium brightness, any static icon (like status bar or rotation lock) instantly burns in.

If I leave the phone off for hours, the ghost image fades away completely. But the second the icon reappears for literally 2 seconds, the ghost image is instantly back and stays for ages.

Is this a known Pixel 8 hardware defect, or did the seller install a cheap, crappy third-party replacement screen? Never seen an OLED react this fast.

Do you guys think it's a hardware defect or a fake screen?
