How come that people go from toxic relationships to great relationships with someone else?

Hey Reddit.

I was just wondering, if everyone is you pushed out and everyone is just reflecting your assumptions and your self concept..
how come some people who don‘t know about the law, are having a really toxic relationship and then meet someone new who‘s better and the relationship isn’t toxic at all?
shouldn’t the next person do the same or be toxic as well when they don’t change their self concept or assumptions?

i have a friend. she was stuck in a really toxic relationship with a guy who constantly cheated on her and even hit her. after 4 years she finally got rid of him and met her current boyfriend, who is treating her like a queen. they are together since 4 years and the relationship isn’t toxic at all. she doesn’t know about the law of assumption.

why is that?! has someone an answer for that?

old story?

hey reddit,

i have a question regarding sp manifestation.

i am currently manifesting my ex back into a relationship. we are still in contact, but the circumstances aren‘t favorable. but it could be worse.

in the past, he betrayed me really bad and cheated on me 1000 times, also he wasn’t always the nicest person towards me. i know that i caused it - but it still hurts and traumatized me in some way.

sometimes i get random flashbacks from the past events. from the cheating, from the messages, from how he f*cked other women behind my back, from the back and forth with this one particular affair that always contacted me. it’s draining.

i think this isn’t talked about enough, but it is NOT easy to stay positive, ignore it & to stay in the wish fulfilled state when you are hurting inside.

the advice „it’s only hard because you say it’s hard“ or „just assume it’s easy“ doesn’t help me at all.

i would love to hear some advices from you, how you handle those situations and i think it would encourage me a lot to hear your success stories and what exactly you did to achieve your dream relationship with your sp.

Btw, I don’t feel everyday like that. It comes in waves.

Thanks for your advices!!

toxic law of assumption community, critics (neville goddard, revision, revising death).

Hello 👋

First of all, I want to say that I am a firm believer in the Law of Assumption, because I manifested a few things myself with the teachings of Neville Goddard. I have zero doubts. I‘ve been researching this topic for years and read a lot of books and lectures from Neville Goddard. I think he was a brilliant man and he definitely knew what he was talking about!

Like almost everyone, i got into the loa community on social media: youtube, tiktok, x, reddit.. and i noticed that there are sadly some toxic „guru‘s“ who will make anyone believe anything and are just spreading a lot of bullshit. This has nothing to do with Neville‘s teachings anymore.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe we are limitless beings, but not when it comes to the law of nature.
They are seriously saying that it’s possible to revise death, to manifest immortality, changing your appearance IMMENSE. I am not talking about clear skin, i am talking about waking up as the next kim k without effort.
I even saw a tik tok once, where people genuinely believe that they are able to manifest being able to fly.

At its core, Neville Goddard advocated three ideas:

- Imagination is the creative power.
- External circumstances follow one's inner state of consciousness ("assumption creates reality").
- All things are possible for God—though Neville understood God not as an external being, but as one's own divine consciousness.

The modern “manifesting” scene often turns this into very specific claims that are not actually found in Neville’s work.

Neville spoke very frequently about resurrection, but almost always in a spiritual sense.
For him, resurrection was ultimately the awakening of the individual to their divine identity—the so-called "Promise." His interpretation of the Bible was predominantly symbolic and mystical.
I am not aware of any instance where Neville taught that a person who had already died could physically return to life through imagination.
He did often quote the Bible verse: "With God, all things are possible."
But he did not turn this into a practical guide for bringing the dead back to life.

Many modern teachers argue roughly along these lines: If imagination is truly limitless, then the return of the dead should also be possible.

However, this is a conclusion drawn by this community, not something Neville himself explicitly taught or demonstrated with examples.

While Neville placed great emphasis on the power of consciousness, his documented examples predominantly fall into areas such as:

- Relationships
- Career
- Money
- Health
- Coincidences and synchronicities
- Changes in circumstances

Those are practically realistic things that could happen, not something extraordinary like those gurus claim.
The further modern claims stray into the realm of "overriding arbitrary physical laws" or "bringing the dead back to life," the less they can be traced back to specific statements made by Neville.

I don’t believe in BS like changing your eye color, nose/face shape with the power of your thoughts. If you want to have abs, you have to work out or get surgery. Neville never mentioned once anything about appearance changes like in those modern community’s in one of his lectures. Or breaking the laws of nature like being immortal or able to fly. I can’t believe that there are actually people out there who believe that.

But let’s get back to the topic of revising death.

If it's possible, why isn't Neville here, young and alive?
Come on, make my grandpa appear next to me tomorrow. Or revise Michael Jackson's death and prove that it's possible, so people actually believe in that. I think it's very dangerous and disgusting to tell people that things like that are possible.

Imagine someone loses a loved one, is grieving that loss, and then there are people making up stories like this. In such a vulnerable state, you can end up holding onto false hope, and that can seriously mess with a person's mental health. It's honestly insane how much nonsense most people in that bubble spread. It any of it were actually true, Neville himself would still be alive.
These people clearly don't understand Revision at all, this is not about changing the past. You can't change the past, but you can change your future.

I believe in LOA, i manifested a few things myself with the teachings of Neville Goddard, and he never mentions anything extraordinary like appearance change, revising death, being immortal or any other bullshit like this in his books or lectures. Because it isn't real! He only speaks about realistic things like relationships, money, health, career, success, trips,..etc. The Law is real, but it comes to limits when it comes to the Law of Nature. It's actually disgusting to make story's up like this.
Neville would be turning in his grave if he knew what people have made of his teachings today.

There are only a few LOA teachers I fully trust, for example subconsciousloz, Eric (The Power of I AM), Missy Renee, Edward Art, BWmanifesting, Brian Scott (I love his meditations; they make me feel the wish fulfilled so easily).

I like Sammy Ingram, she is a beautiful woman and I like the way she talks and explains things. But I am also critical to her. She made some videos about appearance change success story’s, and there are also some unrealistic success story’s on „sammy‘s mermaid gang“ facebook group on revising death or other bs. That’s the only reason i am skeptical towards her. Also, if manifesting being thin is possible, why isn’t she as she preaches? It’s because you have to have the discipline to work out and eat healthy. Affirming only is not enough. But those are some things those gurus will avoid talking about.

Also, Neville himself and Joseph Murphy said you shouldn’t do robotic affirmations. I‘ve never had any success with it either, but I had success with SATS.
I am not saying that robotic affirmations don’t work. It may work for you. But for me it doesn’t, and I only trust Neville or people who preach the same stuff as him.
I also think that robotic affirmations are unnatural and it feels draining to repeat all day. Getting into a meditative state or feeling the wish fulfilled right before bed, feels way more effortless than having to repeat all day long.

Please feel free to drop your opinion, even if it’s not the same way you feel about this topic as me.
I would like to know what others think! :)
