Is there a good way to play Dragon Age: Origins w/ Controller on PC?

I’m not playing it otherwise. I wish I could refund it but I bought it a long time ago because I knew it was on Xbox so I foolishly assumed it had controller support. I don’t play games with KB&M and I’m not starting now so is there a way to do it or did I waste my money?

Edit: Whelp, thx for the comments regardless. I guess I’m glad I didn’t waste my money or Dragon Age 2 or Inquisition at least. Sucks 🫤

I HATE these little bastards! What’s the best way of dealing with them?

So far my best tactic is sit in a corner, funnel them in, and then blast them in the face with a shotgun. This has had mix results. I’ve died like 10 times on the level in the screenshot alone. What’s the best way to exterminate these vermin?!

What’s the current status on Skyrim Extended Cut?

I remember Saints and Seducers Extended Cut and heard about them works on improving/overhauled(?) the main quest. I checked their YouTube but the last video was 2 years ago. Has there been any recent updates or what’s the most recent news?

I think I soft locked myself.

Okay so I think where I screwed up is I cleared out the Mountain Fortress and took the focus stone BEFORE talking to the boys. Then Lester shows up outta nowhere talking about a deed to the fortress and I tell him to keep it. Anyway, I later go back to the group to talk to them but none of them will talk to me and the other guys don’t show up to the other focus stone locations. This wouldn’t be a problem if this stupid gate didn’t need 2 people to open it! Now I have no idea how to fix this. I don’t have a save before then so if this isn’t fixable, I’d have to start all over again. If anyone has a fix or any suggestions, I’d appreciate them.

Edit: Figured out the problem at Troll Canyon but now I can’t open the door at Stone Hedge because Diego won’t show up.

What’s the best Camp for a Spellsword?

I plan on using Two Handed (because Greatsword) and preferably Fire Magic. I know there are The Fire Mages in the Old Camp but my character wants to find a way outta the here so I’m not sure on that. I’ve also heard that Swamp Camp is basically the Spellsword camp but I also heard they have limited circles of magic. What’s the best camp for me? I don’t wanna pick a camp and then regret it later on.

What’s a good PC Optimization guide for this game??

I swear every video on YouTube has very different opinions or experiences for every setting and every comment is “Omg it’s best Optimization video!” It’s hard to get a consensus. What has worked for y’all or do you know a good guide? I wanna optimize the game as much as possible so I can have a the best first impression. 😅

Man, Far Harbor is a lot shorter than I remember.

Doing my official full vanilla playthrough of Fallout 4 and its DLCs. I’ve played them all before but sometimes I’ve skimmed through the quests and didn’t pay attention to the story or I’ve done the DLCs or Quests but not all on the same playthrough. With that being said, idk if it’s just because I already knew about Far Harbor and its hidden details but it felt really short this go around. I did all the major side quests, all the faction quests/side quests and most if not all of the misc stuff and it didn’t take that long. This isn’t to say I didn’t have a great time, I love Far Harbor, but it just feels smaller than I remember.

Fit Check 2: Electric Boogaloo

Finally started Far Harbor and got some Marine Armor. Also got the Beast Hunter Helmet because NV is just the best and I love NCR Veteran Ranger outfit.

Why are 99% of the DLCs utter dogsh*t?!

As someone new to dying light, I’m trying to get all the “essential DLCs” but the only one that looks even slightly worth it is Dying Light: The Following. 90% of the DLCs are outfits and weapons. Why?! I also don’t get the behind Cuisine & Cargo DLC. From what I understand, it’s just a new place to grab loot and fight a bunch of zombies. I get that’s the appeal of a Zombie survival horror game but I wouldn’t pay $5 for it. The only outfit that looks good imo is the Urban Explorer outfit from the Ultimate Survivor Bundle but that’s also $5 and that’s ridiculous. Do I just not understand Dying Light or are these just as ridiculous to veteran players. 😅

These are my new favorite Boyz! Why are they not canon?! 😭

The Orkperium is just the best of both worlds. The peak design of the imperium mixed with the unbridled goofiness and power of the Orks! I wish the Orkperium was canon (to some extent). I get the unstable balance of power in 40K would be ruptured by something like the Prim-Orks but Spay’ce Mahrines and regular Orkperium Orks as a clan would be THE COOLEST SH*T!

What do y’all think about my forge? 😅

It’s not much but it’s the best I could do in pure vanilla. I got inspiration from someone else’s modded forge. I could’ve added more but I wanted to keep it simple and not overdue it.

It’s not the medieval forge vibe I would’ve liked but to me it screams “TONY STARK BUILT THIS IN A CAVE!.. WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!” so I’m fine with it.

At what point should I do Far Harbor and Nuka World?

Doing my first full vanilla playthrough so just trying to see when I should start them. I wanna try to do this an accurate as possible so whenever the DLCs fit into the story best. Should I wait till I finish the main quest or do they fit into better at another point in the story?

I think the 2D Pokemon Games look better visually compared to the 3D ones.

I’m sure there are a lot people will say that the older games are better and “Pokemon aren’t Pokemon anymore” or whatever but that’s not what I’m talking about. I honestly think the color palette and the 2D visuals are better quality. I grew up on Pokemon Black & White with the 2D/3D Mix and I personally think stuff like that is the perfect blend for Pokemon. The colors are more vibrant and more detailed compared to the newer games. Some might think I’m biased but I don’t think I am. We could go into how Pokemon as a company has lost quality over time but that’s another conversation for another day. I think Pokemon like Ceruledge & Corviknight as cool AF (I’m an edgelord, I know) but I still think the 2D games are just more beautiful visually. I’m pretty sure they will be a lot of people who disagree with me but what do yall think? 😅

What’s your favorite Pip-Boy version?

Just in case you don’t know what they’re are called or where they are specifically from:

  1. Pip-Boy 2000 [Fallout 1 & 2]
  2. Pip-Boy 3000 [Fallout 3 & NV]
  3. Pip-Boy 3000 Mk IV [Fallout 4]
  4. Pip-Boy 2000 Mk VI [Fallout 76]
  5. Pip-Boy 2000 Mk VI [Fallout 4 Mod]
  6. Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V [Fallout TV Show]

My Personal Ranking:

  1. Pip-Boy 2000 Mk VI [Fallout 76/Fallout 4 Mod] (I prefer the Fallout 4 Mod but if you don’t consider that one to count, I’d still say the Fallout 76 Version is the best. If there's one thing Bethesda did right with Fallout 76, it's the Pip-Boy)
  2. Pip-Boy W.S. [Fallout 4 Mod] (Another banger! I found out this one from a comment. Modders do it best)
  3. Pip-Boy 2500 [Fallout 3/NV Mod] (I forgot about this one till I comment reminded me. Same as the Pip-Boy 2000 but sleeker so it's higher)
  4. Pip-Boy 3000 [Fallout 3 & NV]
  5. Pip-Boy 3000 Mk IV [Fallout 4]
  6. Pip-Boy 2000 [Fallout 1 & 2]
  7. Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V [Fallout TV Show]

Which ship name do you prefer?

I’m on Season 3 of the show in prep for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn and around the time where they change the Rocinante to the Contorta. Which name do you prefer and why? I don’t care too much about spoilers but I’d rather prefer as little spoilers as possible.

Best “Canon” Last Name for Nate/Nora

This has been asking before but I didn’t see any good answers so imma ask it again. What is the more “canon” last name for Nate/Nora. I’m talking Canon White Nate/Nora (not trying to offend anyone or be racist. Just trying to make sure the parameters for the question are clear 😅).

Most Lore-Accurate Builds for Each Companion WOTR [Final Post]

Note: These may not be viable. These aren’t tested/used on any difficulty besides Story. These are purely for lore-accuracy and/or accuracy to the characters motives/personality. Use/Tweak at your own discretion. I also used a Respec mod for the playthrough of me using these so these might not work for you if you’re on Console or going strictly vanilla.

I made 2 separate posts over the month since I started WOTR. One was for ideas and the other as I sorta draft for this post and more feedback. After playing all the way into Act 5 and doing all the companion missions, this these suit each companion best. (I didn’t do Lann, I picked Wenduag since my character was morally grey and I like Wenduag better. Still willing to accept advice on Lann).
————————————————————————————

Seelah - Paladin: Seelah is the textbook Paladin and her being anything else is weird. I was thinking about her being a tortured crusader but based on a comment for one of my other posts, I decided against it.

Camellia - Spirit Hunter/Stygian Slayer: An even 10:10 split makes sense. She’s definitely a Spirit Hunter but I also think Stygian Slayer makes sense between of her cravings.

Wenduag - Bloodrager/Ranger/Rowdy Rogue: Colluding Scoundrel Hunter fits Wenduag REALLY well and would be the best but I hate having a pet personally and I can’t see her having one because of her loner alpha personality. 4 Levels Bloodrager because of Savamelekh. Rowdy rogue fits her personality and the way she interests with the uplanders. Ranger because bow and she’s a hunter for the tribe (Again Hunter fits better but every subclass that fits her or the base Hunter requires you to have an animal companion).

Lann - Forester Hunter: I didn’t think he fit Ranger and I couldn’t see him with a pet so making him the forester Hunter seems the best. Again, I picked Wenduag over Lann so I can’t really say for sure what fits him best. Open to suggestions.

Woljif - Eldritch Scoundrel/Sorcerer: I think one level of Eldritch scoundrel is sufficient to fits his growth but you could do eldritch scoundrel up to lvl 8 to simulate him leaving during the gargoyle attack since his demonic powers doing really kick in till act 3. Then the rest in Sorcerer with Abyss Bloodline for obvious reasons. He gets the powers from his grandpa after he comes back so it fits perfectly. I also used a lot of Shadow Spells since it fit with him controlling his shadow.

Ember - Stigmatized Witch: The class was basically made for her. I took the burned Oracle curse because of her being burned, and I decided to give her all healing spells because she doesn’t wanna hurt anyone. She’ll get fire spells from her Oracle curse but I don’t think she’d use them that often. She’s on my bench until she’s needed for her personal quests anyway because she’s just a child.

Nenio - Loremaster/Exploiter Wizard: Would go all in on Loremaster if I could but you can’t. I debated between keeping her as a Scroll Savant but decided on exploiter Wizard because of her not caring about taboos. Loremaster is obvious.

Daeran - Possessed Oracle: In base game, he’s just base Oracle but he fits Possessed Oracle a lot better. He’s practically (If not outright stated, I don’t remember) that The Other is possessing him and it fits his story/character better imo, especially since Possessed Oracles auto get the Powerless Prophecy curse.

Sosiel - Cleric: Just regular degular cleric. I can’t really see him being anything else, especially when he’s introduced to you by the queen AS A CLERIC. I also didn’t choose a subclass because, besides his devotion to his goddess and his brother, he doesn’t really have anything special going on imo so.. Basic ahh cleric. With a glaive, obviously.

Regill - Armiger/Hellknight: It’s pretty much his whole personality. You could throw inquisitor in there but tbh I think Armiger/Hellknight is enough.

Arueshalae (Good) - Inciter/Espionage Expert (Pre Alignment Change) and Deliverer/Bard (Post Alignment Change): Inciter Skald because she’s a succubus and influencing people in nefarious ways fits the MO. While I originally planned for her to Multiclass with Eldritch Archer instead, after reading the description for Espionage Expert, it makes me think it fits her, at least pre alignment change, very well. Given her connection to Desna and the song you share together if you choose the Azata option when first meeting her, I think Bard fits her, plus her using her succubus charms for good feels like poetic justice in a way. Her serving as Desna’s chosen slayer of justice also fits as a parallel alignment swap from Espionage Expert.

Greybor - Executioner Slayer/Assassin: I’d go all assassin if I could but ya can’t. So slayer is the best fit for the multiclass. He’s a merc so he’s a killer for hire. Not much to it. I decided on the executioner subclass for Slayer after hearing his backstory of his life in Daggermark and looking at the subclass description, I seems to fit best imo

Trever - Paladin/Two-Handed Fighter/Armored Hulk Barbarian/Hellknight (His Original Classes) - They just fit his journey so well. It feels like Owlcat put a lot more thought into his lineup of classes to fit his character. You also can change it too much even with the respec mod since he can’t be a Paladin because of his alignment if you respec him using the mod. 🤷‍♂️

————————————————————————————

Idk if anyone gives a sh*t about this stuff but it was fun to make. 😅
