With this Trump-Lawler event coming up any kind of statements like that take on a whole different meaning. So don't do it. Happened in New York. I was approached by Sunrun to talk about solar. Set up an appointment to talk to them yesterday. Guy came over and was pleasant enough. We made some small talk while we waited for my wife to come home and while he was showing her a picture of his kids on his phone screen I noticed what appeared to be a voice recorder that was active. I asked him if he was recording us to which he started stammering. So I told him to leave. I was never asked for permission to record the conversation in my home. I know NY is a one-party state but I'm almost certain that when you're in someone's home they have an expectation of privacy and you just can't record them. Is this common practice for Sunrun reps? If so, it's pretty fucking scummy. Not that I was seriously considering going with them based on the bad rep they have but now I 100% won't.
