Slightly concerned about the size on this one. Even without legs he's pretty big for a HG.
Some neat BRZ/GR86 aero analysis from ya boy Premier Aerodynamics

My first 3min project kit. Now I gotta decide how much to detail these guys.
Started on the Luna Trace, and as I do, anywhere there's a clear part, I'm laying down chrome paint marker behind it.
Got a little careless and dumped too much into the back of the forehead sensor, which immediately started cracking (apparently HIPS plastic is as vulnerable as ABS)
I immediately got it under water and a brush and seem to have limited the damage, though I went ahead and used a generous amount of extra thin and sanding to bring it back.
I'll probably have to paint all the purple now, which I was probably going to do anyway. It should look fine after some surfacer primer. (I hope)
In the same way that aircraft sometimes get a throwback paintjob, I want to do my TR-6 in the early TR-1 Bi-Color w/pinstripe scheme, but it's depicted many different ways depending on source and light interpretation, so now I'm looking for feedback.
Which way should I go? They all look pretty cool. q_q
1: my original interpretation, more 'real machine' vibe with a sea blue, medium grey, and very yellow accents. phantom grey frame
2: Fujioka 1, "black" over dark grey with very orange accents. mecha purple frame
3: Fujioka 2, Titans Blue over grey, yellow-orange accents, desaturated purple grey frame
4: The purple one, insignia blue over purple-grey, yellow-orange accents, phantom grey frame
Bot keeps thinking this is a text only post so trying to mix it up
The ingredients:
9" .300 BLK SBR. 1.6" handguard inner diameter restriction
Flux Raider X, compact slide, 4.6" or 5.5" threaded barrel (haven't decided), 1.4" can diameter restriction if not using full size barrel, otherwise 1.6"
Silencerco Omega 9k
New Can TBD
The situation:
Currently have the 9k direct-thread as a dedicated can for the .300. Both firearms will be set up with dedicated cans, so multi-caliber and multi-compatibility are not a factor.
The question:
I can use the 9k on the Raider if I go with the fullsize barrel, and buy a new dedicated can for the .300, or I can keep the 9k on the 300 and get a new can for the Raider.
Currently leaning to keeping the 9k on the SBR, it does what it needs to do, I'm not after hearing safe performance here, but then I look at things and think, am I being silly with ending up with two very similar 9mm suppressors for two very different jobs? Should I throw the 9k on the raider and get a more capable 30 cal can for the .300? (unfortunately unable to use larger 1.7"+ diameter cans here too)
Currently looking at my low-backpressure options, front of the list is
HUXWRX Flow 9k (needs fullsize barrel)
Rugged Obsidian 9
Silencerco Spectre 9
Apparently also known as Act 5. I picked it up at the Gundam Base popup because it was there and it looked interesting and was only tenbux. Far as I'm concerned it's head and shoulders better than action base 7 for the same price. The base of the arm has a spring detent system that's really satisfying and feels strong, and it has a little piece to connect bases together, which is not very strong, but is good enough keep things from drifting.
Sugai's gelgoog, obviously. Brain was off when I posted.
I could have done some weathering but I forgor, maybe later if I'm feeling it.
holofilm visor, SMP decals, and replaced the antenna. otherwise straight build.
AU if the spare Re-GZ was transferred to the General Revil and also pilots from the Ace Combat series exist in Gundam.
This tuned and updated Re-GZ was taken as the personal machine of Strider 1, Callsign Trigger.
I think Zoltan might have had a much harder time dealing with the Revil's defense squadrons if he'd been up against Trigger, Cipher, and Mobius.
I'm not working on it right away but I've got a Bawoo that's going to get Sol Squadron livery to represent Mihaly/Mister X
Just put in the metal vulcan barrels today and almost lost one inside the head o_o; Gotta do touchups, more panel lines, and dekkals. Put in a lot of effort to get a paintjob that made sense both for the General Revil squadrons and the ReGZ's history.
finally broke out the lightbox, but forgot to get white-background shots. Ah well.
These are pretty neat. Restrained design and great articulation.
Now I've just got to work out how to keep dust off of them for long enough to take good photos. They still look pretty good if I don't zoom in.
Wanted to do a minimal paint build on this, so only details are painted, everything else is contrast between matte and gloss topcoats.
>There's not much difference between those countries from up here.
This took longer than I expected, along with some loose joints complicating things. Had to respray the right shoulder when the primer failed but I think I blended it back in pretty well.
Beat you to it, Bandai.

The overall color theme idea was colors like a slightly darkened Mk-II (Or I suppose slightly lightened if you're talking about Titans version) of course with the contrast of the signature Pixy red right "wing". Any yellow was converted to white as there's just no room on this build for a bright hero color like that. Purple on the feet as a callout to Gundam Sentinel designs worked out way better than I could have hoped.
Beat you to it, Bandai.
