Chia seed slimy texture

I don’t like the taste of the fiber powders or the texture of things like chia seeds/flax seeds in any form. Fiber one bars/brownies are not my thing either.

Has anyone found a way to supplement high additional fiber in their diet with something else that tastes good?

Dark chocolate actually has more calories than milk chocolate?

I feel like I've been told to eat dark chocolate as a lower calorie chocolate option. I just went to the grocery store and compared a dark chocolate bar to a milk chocolate bar from the same brand and the DARK chocolate was actually slightly MORE calories.

Come to learn that is typically because of the higher fat content since cocoa contains more fat than milk solids.

I know dark chocolate can have slightly less sugar and other benefits, but this surprised me.

Anyone interested?

Would anyone be interested in a free substack about gut health?

I’m fascinated by the question: why is fiber one of the most important nutrients for our health, but one of the least exciting? 95% of American don’t get enough fiber, why?

I’d share everything I learn about the science of fiber, cravings, myths, any surprising insights on gut health and IBS, and some memes.

DM me your email or comment it.

Fiber is so necessary, but so boring.

Sweet Coffee

I love sweet coffee, but can't have real sugar. I find that Splenda or Stevia have chemical or bitter tastes which is what most coffee shops carry. Have you tried another granulated sweetener and what do you like about it?

Does anyone else struggle with wanting dessert every night?

I eat pretty healthy overall, but the hardest part for me is after dinner. I almost always want something sweet, and I'm still trying to find something that feels like a real dessert without feeling like I've completely gotten off track.

Curious if anyone else deals with this. What has actually worked for you?

Looks for low cal sweet treat that tastes indulgent

Are there any low cal sweet treats that are actually satisfying and taste indulgent? I always crave something sweet after a meal, but this usually derails me from my macros.

Looking for sweet snacks or dessert that are actually worth buying

I feel like I’ve tried a lot of healthy desserts/snacks that either don’t taste good or don’t feel satisfying. I don’t necessarily want a huge dessert, but I find it hard to find something small that actually feels satisfying.

What has worked for others?
