What are some cities you felt the most racism in as a black person and would never return to?

We talk about some of the best places to go, but what are some cities or countries that you wouldn’t recommend to other black people because you experienced racism there?

From my personal experience these are the cities I’d not recommend

Montevideo Uruguay- Probably the worst racism i experienced in Latin America. Treatment was absolutely horrible everywhere.

Santiago Chile- People stare, service was horrible I was last to be served damn near everywhere I went.

Budapest, Hungary- Same as Chile except the states were even more intense. I had to write so many bad reviews on Google Reviews because of the treatment I received at restaurants.

Vienna, Austria- Evil stares, bad service everywhere.

Stockholm, Sweden- This one shocked me because everyone on Reddit talks about how good black men are treated in Sweden … not my experience at all. Came here in winter and at one restaurant I was offered a table outside in the snow despite their being open tables inside, but they refused to let me eat inside so I left. Just horrible all around.

Madrid, Spain- I’ll never forget first time I went to Madrid I swear I felt like I was in Amistad or something. The mistreatment wasn’t to me but I saw some new refugees there form from Africa and police had them huddle together while locals in Madrid shouted threw stuff stuff at them spit on them and were making monkey sounds. While this wasn’t treatment directed towards me I’ve still never seen anything like this in my life. I know Europe has immigration issues but this was unbelievable. With that being said as a black man people stare in every city and it’s almost guaranteed my mother and I will be served last at every restaurant. I’ve been to Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Peniscola, Malaga.

Rome, Italy - Very hostile from the moment I arrived. Service wasn’t bad at all the hostility mainly came from locals who were clearly disgusted with black people in their city. Although people seem friendlier in southern cities in Italy.

In the US it’s more so based on states:

West Virginia
South Carolina
Pennsylvania

What about yall? Which cities

Do you think this new hate campaign will affect tourism to Argentina?

I’m black American and have been to Argentina many times and it’s literally my favorite country in all of Latin America along with Colombia. The Argentine people have been nothing but kind to me each time I’ve been there and same with my mother and she vacations there for months at a time.

But my question is do you think this whole hate campaign is going to hurt tourism there? This went from Argentines are racist against black people to now Jewish people, other Latinos, and Dailymail and other big publications are painting Argentines as violent people although it’s the safest country in Latin America.

With that being said I’ve heard tourism dropped since Miele changed the economy so the country isn’t as cheap for tourists anymore but do you think this new massive hate campaign worldwide will actually hurt tourism to the country even more?

Russia and CIS box office Monday, July 13. Russia only numbers for Michael to avoid confusion.

Michael added yesterday 14.2 mln RUB or $186k with 23% week-to-week drop.

1930.6 mln RUB or $26.31 mln with 3,552,688 admissions in Russia.

2307.6 mln RUB or $31.41 mln with all CIS countries included. 4,491,173 admissions

No. 20 on the all-time chart and No. 7 among all foreign releases.

  1. Avatar 3639.46 mlm RUB
  2. Spider-Man: No Way Home 3513.63 mln RUB
  3. Lion King 2998.51 mln RUB

  7. Michael 2307.6 mln RUB
  8. Zootopia 2280.92 mln RUB
  9. Now You See Me 3 2198.5 mln RUB
  10. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil 2185.25 mln RUB

Will surpass on Wednesday Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and on Thursday Venom 2 to become No. 5 foreign release all-time. Most likely will finish 13th or 14th overall.

As for other local news a major distributor demanded from theaters not to show pirated copies of Spider-Man: Brand New Day up to August, 20. Apparently everyone should watch instead another russian big budgeted fantasy Kolobok, which will be released on August, 6. And you know that every foreign release is an enemy of russian films. At least this is what offcials and many producers think and sometimes even openly declare.

With typical unofficial release Spidey would bring huge crowds to theaters. And of course owners and managers are not happy with such demands.

Minions & Monsters grossed in CIS countries $118k on Monday and $926k in first five days.

What are some countries or cities you expected to have a bad experience as a black person but ended up liking and being treated well?

So what are some places that you all have traveled to and assumed that you would dislike it and thought you would deal with racism in but the experiences ended up being the complete opposite and you like it and were treated well by the people?

For me personally

Argentina- I did both Buenos Aires and El Calafate. Based on what I heard ahead of time I was told that Argentina is racist and that the city is boring. When I went it was complete opposite the people were very friendly despite me being the only black person on most places. I get the feeling they really like Americans no matter where you are from and that they generally assume that when they see a black person that we are tourists since they don’t have many black people. But I’ve been three times since then and it’s become my mother and I favorite country. With that being said I would say I think they are racist towards other Latinos.

Krakow Poland- I’ve only been to krakow in Poland 🇵🇱 but just like Argentina I had a great time the city was beautiful and people sometimes stare but it was always a friendly stare. With that being said they made it clear to me that they don’t like British people but love Americans because the British can be pretty obnoxious. I’ve also been back three times as a tourist.

What about yall?

Alyssa is such a hypocrite towards Graham Platner

I’m sorry but I think it’s crazy how much she talks about how the democrats are for supporting Graham Platner, yet last I check even after the Donald Trump grab them by the 🐱 tapes leaked and the Jean E Carroll allegations against him she still joined his administration after those accusations came out.

She left and joined The View when Trump lost reelection but now she sits here trying to shame Dems for supporting someone with allegations when she purposely joined the administration of someone with even more allegations which they were later liable of in court.

What black actor(s) do you think will likely get nominated this year?

At least one Black actor or actress has been nominated in an Oscar acting category in nearly every recent awards season, yet every year I see prediction threads that end up leaving Black performers out of the conversation.

So who do you think is most likely to score an acting nomination this year?

Is Cardi B currently the frontrunner for Best Rap Album at the Grammys?

I know a lot of Reddit doesn’t like Cardi but Am I The Drama? is the highest rated major rap release of the year on aggregate critic sites:

Cardi B — Am I The Drama?
Metacritic: 74
AnyDecentMusic?: 6.7
Rolling Stone: 4.5/5

Baby Keem — Casino
Metacritic: 73
Rolling Stone: 3.5/5

J. Cole — The Fall-Off
Metacritic: 67
AnyDecentMusic?: 6.6
Rolling Stone: 3.5/5

Drake — Iceman
Metacritic: 56
Rolling Stone: 3/5

What makes it interesting is that the last 3 Grammy winners for Best Rap Album were also the highest rated major rap albums critically. Do you think Cardi is actually the favorite right now or do you think the Grammys will go another direction?

Makary is out as commissioner at the FDA

The head of the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Marty Makary, is resigning after a rocky tenure that drew months of complaints from health industry executives, anti-abortion activists, vaping lobbyists and other allies of President Donald Trump.
He steps down after just over a year leading the powerful health regulatory agency, according to a White House official who was not authorized to speak before an announcement expected Tuesday and insisted on anonymity.
Kyle Diamantas, the agency’s chief for foods, will take over as acting commissioner, the official said. Diamantas is an attorney with personal ties to Donald Trump Jr.

Sadly he wasn’t even a bad commissioner. Sure next will be much worse!
