“The Optimization of Eden: Colonization Journey” By Doug Collins - Science Fiction/Fantasy/Adventure

In a recent radio broadcast on my literature I was asked what sets me apart from other authors. My response was that the focus of my writing mainly falls within the realm of our quantum future. The new emergence which I believe will dominate the 2st century. We’re presently on the cusp of its influences on our technology, society, geopolitics, and even spiritual beliefs. I write about all of this in my books. I classify my books as early 21st century fiction that will become late 21st century realism.

So What’s Your Thoughts on AI Content?

AI is a tool to be guided in its ability to produce. The same is true of for example recent graduates from a college or university. Brimming with talent and capable of producing great things. Is there creativity present in delivering guidance? My premise is that those who are guided value greatly from the creativity embroiled in the guidance they receive. Some mentors are more creative than others. AI can be used in a variety of ways and the guidance it receives determines the quality of the production. Creativity is involved in this process as products differ widely coming from AI. The reality however is that some will oppose AI until it becomes as widely adopted as the internet. I say give its products a try and determine for yourself the value it delivers. Some will amaze you and others will disappoint you as with any product you try, but please refrain from generalizing. Trust the reviews as always. I accept input from customers who buy and read my books not those who read book descriptions and critique on a snap shot.

Dystopian Thriller (Clancyeqe Maybe)

China, what are they up to now? So silent, so secretive a nation. Without knowing they’ve breached our cybersecurity and are listening and viewing our secrets, from passwords to financial data to health care and beyond. All out there on the darknet published for any hacker to locate. How’d they do this? What’s to become of our exposed data.

Too far fetched to be possible? No says this 35 year cybersecurity veteran and CEO of The EDDITS Consulting Group, cybersecurity consultants specializing in AI and Quantum security. The book, Decryption Gambit on Amazon, Google, Apple etc and my site www.dougcollinsauthor.com

The QUANTUM Apocalypse

Decryption Gambit a Clancyish type novel on Amazon now. The Quantum Apocalypse is now, and privacy on the internet a thing of the past. Crypto cracked open and the world held hostage.

Hard Si Fi novel or not? You Decide

I’ve written a hard Science Fiction novel entitled Decryption Gambit. Readily available online in multiple languages and on audio book. My question to this group concerns its landing spot. Does it belong here? It’s cyber intrigue, geopolitical thrills, privacy and security scares, current events realism all wrapped into one. 35 years of cybersecurity experience went into this book mixed with intense reading on current trends in emerging cyber technology

Hard Si Fi Author’s Search for Readers

Hi, I’d like to introduce you to my science fiction books but first a little blurb on my background. I’m 75 years old and have spent the majority of my working life working in cyberspace (today’s terminology). My efforts have been concentrated in cybersecurity as an auditor and consultant, now a CEO of my own cybersecurity consultancy. I post numerous articles to LinkedIn on this subject and I’m very concerned with its current direction and ability to service both AI and Quantum computing. This concern has led to my book writing in hard science fiction that is near reality.
My series Quantum Worlds consisting of 3 books leads you down a path about cybersecurity’s ability to alter geopolitics. Then leading you on into a world entrenched in the affects of AI, quantum computing and robotics.
My series with book one on the cusp of release takes you deep inside the world of robotics coupled with super intelligence that they possess through quantum computing and AI. Initially championed by politicians and scientists as an enhancement to our lifestyle a metamorphosis occurs that leads somewhere else.
I have a website in which for you to further explore my works. Please DM me if you wish to pursue me further. Thank you.

Hi My name is Doug Collins and my question is:

Do my books qualify as speculative fiction please? If not please explain what does qualify.

I’m trying to find the proper roosting spot for my books.

Hi I’m a an author and my books are of a similar nature to Tom’s titles.

My dilemma is finding the correct watering hole so to speak.

I don’t know your familiarity with book selling metrics, they tell u you’re off target that’s it. No good are they at like trying to locate someone on a raft in the middle of the ocean.

As readers of Tom and potentially me how do I put my books in front of u pls.

If you find yourself in any sort of cybersecurity comfort zone, you’re in for a real surprise. Numerous articles are arising in regard to the inadequacy of legacy cybersecurity’s abilities to withstand AI and Quantum Computing future innovations. In fact AI’s defeat of cybersecurity is on the very cusp of occurring with Mythos emergence. Quantum Computing capabilities to defeat cybersecurity are advancing exponentially from 2035 projections mere months ago to 2029 today. On this curve it may actually occur next year. The time to take action is now if you’re a cybersecurity professional. Raise the fed flag to management that more than legacy cybersecurity and industry’s addressing of reactive bandaids to new threats is needed. With both AI and Quantum arriving shortly surgery is required not a band aid. What better way to convince the board than a read or listen to my book (The New Architecture A Structural Revolution in Cybersecurity) published in January due to my foreseeing this storm unfolding as a 35 year veteran of cybersecurity consulting and auditing. In addition to this book I’d recommend they read my book (Decryption Gambit) as well. Although written as fiction, reality of its storyline is not that far removed from being real. Two books written to light a fire under CEOs and Board Members by enlightening them on the consequences of inaction at a time when action of magnanimous scale is required. 2026 should be the year of Cybersecurity.
