Layering samples you don't like on it's own

A while ago i bought the sample set from Goldfield & Banks (i honestly have no idea if it's still a niche brand?) and i was quite disappointed. I only liked 3 samples out of 10. I put it away and didn’t give it a second thought for a while. But then I saw a post here on Reddit about layering perfumes, and I thought , ‘I’m going to try combining the samples I don’t like the smell of.’ So I’ve just layered Southern Bloom (the sample I dislike the most) with Blue Cypress, and I quite like it!

So maybe it is an idea that if you are disappointed in a discovery set, you try to layer the scents :)

Woman alone traveling to London. Where to have diner?

Hey all :) I'm traveling to London alone (43F) in late October this year. I don't mind traveling on my own, but i have no idea where i can have dinner on my own. Maybe this sounds very weird, but it's the only thing that makes me a bit nervous. Sure, you can sit at any place and order some food, but maybe people who have traveled alone could give me some recommendations? I'll probably be staying in Paddington and it would be great if it's not too far from there. Tia :)

Edit: Thank you all for your help, now i can stay in London for 3 months (but only will be for 3 days unfortunately) I appreciate it :)

After ordering quite some samples is this my first niche perfume purchase

I really love ordering niche perfume samples and i consider this as a hobby that makes me happy. Every day it's a surprise how i will smell 😆 I like most of them, but after spraying a sample of this scent i was completely sold. I don't think i ever smelled something like this before. It's very unique, very well blended and very addictive. I ordered some samples from the same brand, very curious about them!

Called my GP and her assistent said it was totally fine to take melatonin without seeing my GP.

I have a son who is almost 6 and always have been a bad sleeper. He also has some ADHD traits. At night it takes ages for him to fall asleep. Sometimes the nights are very stressful for him and tbh, for me as a parent too.

A month ago i came across melatonin here in the store specially made for children (0.3 mg) i bought it to try it and it worked like a charm (gave it two times so far). Weirdly enough i'm still a bit afraid to give it to him on a regular basis, but if this is something that helps him i don't think i have a choice. Also because things at school might be easier for him too.

I did a ton of research before i actually gave it to him and a lot of times i read that it should be given after having a talk with your GP. So i rang my GP for an appointment and her assistent said it was totally okay to give it and no appointment is needed. She said she will put it in his medical file and if my GP wants to talk about it they'll give me a ring.

I'm pretty confused this went so easy. I've read loads of posts where drs aren't very fond of melatonin and here i don't even have to make an appointment to discuss it.

Are here more people who've gotten a similar response?

Dutch Kobo readers, how are the Dutch translations of the e-books?

I know it depends on the translator, but how are the Dutch translations in general? Good, medium, meh? The reason i ask is that i'm reading a translated e-book for the first time and i'm not very impressed with how it is translated. I wonder if it's better to stick with the original language (English)?

Questions about a sleeping mask with kids

Hi all :) I have a boy who has so much trouble with falling asleep and it's worse during summer time when it's not dark outside when he is going to bed. Wintertime, give and take 1 hour, summer time 1,5 hour to 2 hours. So i recently i bought a weighted blanket and today i bought a sleeping mask. I think it worked! I don't hear anything noise from his room and if he's asleep it would mean that it only took 30 minutes today! I'll check on him later tonight :)

I do have a question about the sleeping mask. Is it safe for him to wear this all night long? Or should i remove it (without waking him up of course). He is 5 years old.

Korean skincare at TK Maxx

So i just went to a TK Maxx store here in the center of Rotterdam and they sell a lot of Korean Skincare products. Mary & may, Round Lab, Arencia, Cosrx, Pyunkang Yung etc. I had my very impatient daughter with me, so couldn't compare the prices from the ones they ask at the webshops, but i know some products were cheaper.

Not sure if every store has Korean skincare and maybe it'll be worth a visit!
