Simple changes to make it feel more unique to me, Knight Questor

Early WIP of my Weaver's Court Winter's Bite miniature! Ive decided to try something new and applying rhe Pointillism technique for the top of the carapace. I think it's coming along pretty well, but wanted thoughts.

1. How does the Pointillism work?

2. I am thinking that the hairs (still black) will be yellow

3. The sides of the carapace, thoughts on what to do? I wont be dojng the Pointillism all the way down

Early WIP, but loving it and this model!!

Well, its been almost exactly four years since I posted about the Chitinian Empire, at least on a different forum (Lustria Online). I am assuming maybe a little longer here than there however. It is crazy to think I began this fan faction little over six years ago back in June of 2020.

Now, here we are, six years later with what could be a final draft... finally!

Technically draft #5, I am considering this nearly complete barring filling out the roster, making tabletop rules, and then building the army beyond the few models I have for it so far.

Any thoughts and C&C is welcome! Please be kind when doing so, this has been a lot of work.

When reading about the faction know that they are influenced by a lot of things. Consider them a hybrid of Zerg, Buggers from Ender's Game, Sylvaneth, Seraphon, and Deepkin all being rolled into one. They are order based, leaning on destruction.

A Great save by Dave! As he came out of the cave that connects Wollemi Top and Bottom lake...Dave noticed a friend in peril.

Dave swam up and took a bite out of crime! In the midst of the chaos Dave was able to grab their friend and get them to saftey befire fighting 3 crocs to the death. It was a worthy sacrifice 🙏

So.... getting back to an old Project that can actually officially be used thanks to a certain release....

Behold, my (heavily WIP) "Cogfort" for my Darkoath / Homebrew / Destruction faction!

Placed on the back of a mighty pachyderm of Ghur are mighty cannon batteries and bow crews to rain down carnage onto foes.

Idea is that the crew is mainly Gnoblars but with human tribesmen/women overseeing them and the beast.

Much more to come (lots of greenstuff) but wanted to share!

Dave had found himself in a classic lizards (and conc) vs dinosaurs brawl, and then the Flying Reptile decided to swoop in and try to crash the party.

Dave Wasn't Having It.

Dave burst out of the water and clamped the Hatz forcing it to drop its prize and become the prize itself.

My Allo pack had been chasing this pachy towards me as I snuck up. Flushing it down a path it thought it could escape by some fancy jumping, which I am sure has worked in the past. However, while focused on th4 group behind them they failed to see the lone Allo sneaking forward towards it. In a burst of speed I spring the trap and rush forward. The Pachy inly realizing its mistake mid air as it sees my jaws coming down on its back and stomach (on my screen I hit them center mass).

Last kill of the night before we all logged off.

Bit of an update here 🙂

I began working on the two guards a bit heavily and got to a good place for both. This left a bit of catch up for the Sunblood, but I think ive finally got them all nesrly to the same place of progress.

The sunblood's shield and weapon are the newest additions, though still a bit of WIP. The gems of the shield and weapon were supposed to match, however, I didnt get the amount quite right on the weapon lol so its a bit deeper in color. A bit more energy feeling vs the shields gems id say.

The shield itself is two types of gold and then silver highlights. The center is a mixture of white & light grey shadednwith Casadora Yellow x5 with various yellows painted on inbetween each layer of watch. Sadly, the shield developed a bubble that wasnt there prior 😔

All in all, great progress so far!

Hunting Dragons on my Mora, found this one sleeping near a waterfall. Needed food for my nest, so sprang into action and ambushed em from the sky. Poor Draco never made it truly airborne. Sadly, was not able to collect food from the body...as it fell into the lake xD

Clean hunt. Mostly.
