I recently found a lava lamp in some of my dad's old stuff he let me keep. I really want to get it functional but the wax always clumps and gets stuck at the top.

I have added some pictures of the lamp.

My first question is, would the old light bulb be affecting the wax? Does it need a new one? It looks original with the lamp.

Second question is, is the coil supposed to move? It moves around and seems out of place.

Third questions is, does anyone know the model of this lamp? I can't find any markings anywhere to see what model it is and was going to look at getting a new top as it is cracked.

The last picture is just another lava lamp I found from when I was a kid that I thought I would share as I think it is so cool. No questions on that one though, takes me right back to the 90's lol ☺️

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I obtained 3 of 5hese posters from my grandpa awhile back and never really looked at them. I want to keep them as a keepsake anyway (was thinking of framing them) but was just wondering if they are reproductions.

I'm guessing they are, as they seem like normal poster material which I don't think existed in the 40's but I'm not positive. Also rolls up like a normal poster and seems in way to good of condition. There is 0 chance this is original right? It does say copyright 1940's in the corner , but I'm guessing just reprinted it on.

I have 2 others the same size just like this with different images (play refreshed and hello refreshment)

Been sitting in my garage for years. Unsure where it came from. No markings. All other sides are plain wood and nailed shut. Inside is hollow. Anyone know what this was used for? Thanks!

I bought an auction awhile back where I wanted some other items. It came with an NS CNC machine which is apparently very high grade. I have no experience with CNC machines so don't know much about them.

I tried listing it, but am having trouble selling it due to it being a very hard sell as it only cuts soft Plastics and wax making it a very limited market. On top of it I don't have software to run it (I did contact the company but would have to send in the machine which seems like alot of work)

I'm just wondering if I parted it out if there would actually be anything worth any money? My spindle for sure I know I can sell on its own as it is a Nakanishi, but I'm wondering about the other parts?

The first 2 photos are of a linear rail system I think? There are 3 of these rail systems in total. Not sure if I removed these if I could sell them on their own, but they have no markings so can't tell who made them, it does say helical small on the one bearing. They seem made by very high grade material.

The chuck is made by sherline.

There isn't much info about these CNCs online, so don't know if the parts can sell on their own. Thanks for your help!!!!

I recieved a bunch of old tools from my grandpa awhile back and have no idea what to do with this thing. It has been sitting on a shelf in my garage for 2 years taking up space. Everything worked when I recieved it, however, I can't take pictures with the power on as I don't an outlet for the plug type.

I had a package I sent to the United States from Canada and it got returned to me (didn't clear customs for whatever reason)

Upon getting to where I live it said incomplete address info to return my package. I called and updated it 3 seperate times and nothing was updated for week. (No scan for 7 days)

I then opened an investigation and the same day my package got scanned for the first time in a week and said incomplete address info again, even though I called and updated it 3 times and once again with the investigation team. 2 minutes after that update it was left at a front desk? I required a signature and signature was voided? What front desk was it left at? The UPS hub? I called today check, but nobody could seem to answer it and they claims department was closed.

Do you think the package got delivered to a random front desk? Im confused why it would say it needed address info and then be dropped off at a front desk 2 minutes later. I also find it strange that it says voided on the signature. Thanks for your help!!!

I've shipped a ton of packages in the past and have never ran into a problem like this. Of course I didn't get insurance as I was tired of getting packages returned to me, not clearing customs, and being out lots of money. I have also never had UPS lose a package. This package unfortunately is worth $4,000.

At first it was stuck at the border due to needing a certificate of orgin. I filled it out and sent it back within a day after they told me that was the required document missing. Before they recieved it, they had already started returning the item to me. It then cleared customs with the forms, but the item was already in transit back to me.

Nobody now seems to know where it is, it has 2 different tracking numbers (one saying on the way, and one saying incomplete address info for return)

I have called and updated my address info and just asked for them to return it as at this point I just want the item back, but nobody seems to know where it is. Some think it's lost, some think it is safely in the warehouse. I get different answers everytime I call.

Lots of reps also thought maybe a damaged label, but I attached 6 labels to make sure there were lots.

Anyone run into anything like this? Does you think it is possible I still get my package back?

I have uploaded a photo of the screenshot of my last updates on tracking from my second trakcing number.

It would inky let me upload 1 photo but the other tracking number says on May 14th, issue resolved on the way. Then on May 19th that I requested a return to sender, but nothing else.

I got this as part of an auction where I wanted other items, but wanted to see what this controller would be used for if I fixed it up and tried to get it running. Has 2 down buttons, an emergency stop and one jog up button.

The unfortunate part is the computer it came with is toast so there is no software to run it. Is there software that I could even find for this, or is it too outdated?

Is this machine worth trying to get running with software even if I can find it? Or is it old and obsolete?

In my grandma's old bin of stuff I found this necklace that is stamped 18K. (Weighs 32 grams) It looks very tarnished, and I have a feeling gold wouldn't tarnished this much. Just looking to confirm this.

Is it possible for 18K gold to ever become this tarnished?

I was about to throw it out, but thought I would test it with at home tests, but it is not magnetic, it sinks to the bottom of water immediately, and leaves black marks on white cloths when applying toothpaste to the necklace and rubbing it on the white cloth for 30 seconds.

Passed everything.

So now I'm tempted to buy a gold testing kit, but just want to see some opinions before I buy the kit. No point in spending the money if everyone agrees it is flat out fake. Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate it!
