I didn't do it, but is there any reason that I couldn't or shouldn't have kneecapped him from behind with dual MP-9s?

Hi all, got the task from Johnny (Lvl 3) to plant some discs. What discs? Do I have to buy them or find them? If buy, from who?
So I finally hit Tommy Lvl 3, which gives me (in addition to 5.45T) Mk318 and 7.62x51 FMJ.
Am I missing something, or is 7.62x39 FMJ the end of the line for purchaseable ammo for that round?
I mean, is there any point in keeping any AKM or SKS, other than maybe one I can take out once in awhile after finding enough better ammo for a loadout?
Was just browsing trader level unlocks for ammo, and it appears that for 7 62x39, FMJ is the best purchaseable ammo.
Is this correct? If so, I can clear some storage space, because there's no point having any AKM or SKS at this point, since all the other rifle calibres I have available in 3+ pen ammo.
So I was running a raid with a G3, carrying SP ammo. I went to pack a mag, but hit the wrong button, so pulled a bullet out instead.
Imagine my surprise when the bullet in my hand was a 5.56 Mk318. It would only give me one bullet, so I let go and gripped again, and it gave me another 5.56. I ended up doing the whole mag, transmuting 7.62 SP into 5.56 Mk318. I picked up the individual bullets, and made a stack of it.
Hi all, I've been playing a game standalone, using the optimizernthat shall not be named here.
I've noticed that, after 1.5-2hrs, it seems to be getting pretty warm, and I'm a bit concerned for device longevity.
Would I be correct to assume that PCVR would cause less heat in the headset?
I currently play outside under the gazebo, but I'd like to be able to play (after dark) on a bigger area in my backyard.
Apparently the Quest 3 will track using IR light, so my question is, would I be better to mount a light to the headset, or put a light at two opposing corners of the play area? If so, does it matter whether they are on the ground or up higher? (appropriately aimed of course)
So I just completed a task for Igor, (I have him at Lvl 2) and can now buy 5.45T. It's the first 3-3+ pen ammo I've ever been able to pack as a full loadout.
So I grabbed my nicely modded AK-74 (haven't been using it because only had crap ammo) and headed out to Suburb.
I didn't run into any players, but went through Hyder Town like a knife through butter. 2-3 shots to the chest, scav down.
I feel like I've crossed the Great Divide lol.
Question though, the T rounds are 3 pen, the 5.56 M856 rounds are 2.9 pen. Is there more of a practical difference between them then the small difference would suggest? Like against PC3 armor, the Ts go through no problem, but the M856 doesn't even leave a mark?
Hi all, currently I have a dedicated router setup, modem called to router, router called to PC.
I'm going to be moving in the near future, (not sure exactly where) and it may be that I don't have access to the modem to run a cable.
Does it make a difference if the connection to the router is Wi-Fi instead if a cable, if all it does is supply internet? (PC remains on router network ONLY, it is not on the home network at all)

Hi all, looking for some feedback here. I'm using QGO on standalone, (Quest 3) and I think I could do better settings than I have, but it's a pain constantly weaking and rechecking.
I have resolution at 140%, ffv set to 2, CPU/GPU both at 6, and one of the FSR options enabled. (can't remember which atm)
Does anyone have any suggestions as to improvements I could make?
So I've been waiting for a couple weeks now to play, as I play outside, and it's been really hot and humid. (and smoky!)
Anyway, today looked perfect to dive back in. Unfortunately the cable guy cut my line and routed it to the new neighbors.
So I figured I'd use my phone as a hotspot, as it's 5G, and this game only uses around 100 or so Mb an hour.
Game fired up no problem, but while I'm used to some jank in the hideout, in-game has always been rock solid. Now in-game is a bit off. Is that likely caused by me using a hotspot, or has something changed gamewise in the last couple weeks?
So I accidentally found a fun new challenge for a lower level player.
I spawned in as a scav, saw somebody else running like a player, and before I could think, I shot them, this turning all the scavs against me. I did the normal scav run I do when spawning on west Suburbs, loot the barns, Wyeth's, and then the PD, but playing as a contractor with scav gear.
It was a blast!.
Found a defibrillator last night in PvE on Suburbs. I'm too low level to need it for any trade goods, anyone want to trade?
Basically, I'm looking for any combo of mounts that will allow me to mount an optic on stock AKs or G3s, and 30-round mags for G3 or FAL/SA58, I have guns, but iron sights are problematic, as using iron sights sometimes means my stock brushes the headset, which puts me into passthrough mode and crashes the game. And I can only buy 10 round mags for the G3 or FAL. (it's like that for all weapons, but mags for the rest are easy enough to find)
So I have trouble getting bandages to work, bit all I know to do is randomly wrap it around my arm, and it often takes a few tries.
Is there a certain point on my arm I should be attempting to wrap, for.more consistent results?
Just curious, where do I get the new in-raid armor repair?
Hi all, anyone else notice discrepancies between values in the shop, and values in game?
I noticed that 7.62x39 SP has 2.4 pen in the shop, but when you go to load a mag, it's 1.8.
I'm assuming 2.4 is correct, because 7.62x51 SP is 2.6.
Hi all, I'm a new player and gave a question.
Does the "Temporary Escort" mission automatically team you up with others in the queue with the same quest?
I bailed on two teams (ran ahead to get somewhere specific) because I thought they were bots. and then the third time, somebody spoke over VOIP. I almost crapped my drawers when "ok, let's push" came through the speakers.
I've completed the Farm section of that, and I noticed that when I go into Farm for another task, I'm solo.
I assume the same thing will happen when I first go to Northridge?
So I've been having the usual hideout jankiness, but in game was fine.
So tonight I go to gear up, I went to grab some armor off a stand with my off hand, and as soon as I gripped it, my hand shot towards the floor, and then came back up, bit the armor was buried in the floor. I tried to grab it, but it fell right out of sight. I thought, "oh well, it'll turn up", and grabbed another armor, geared up no problem.
So I get into a raid, and the first time I go to shoot a scav, as soon as I grip the handguard with my off-hand, again my hand shoots toward the floor, except the gun only lets it go so far, and there I am, pointing the gun at my feet. If I keep the grip, it comes back up and aims normally. But every time I newly grip, down it points.
