It's been getting louder and i dont know what to do

I've had pretty constant tinnitus ever since i was like 17 or so, i used to blast music in my ears all the time. I've since stopped blasting music and i even stopped using ear phones as much, only for calls and such, but lately despite all of that, my tinnitus has been getting a lot louder lately.

i went to an ENT at one point to see how much hearing damage i have and they said my hearing was pristine, so the tinnitus seems to just be something my brain is creating. And I've since come to peace with it, the constant ringing used to keep me up, but i can now live with the loud silence. But lately it has gotten a lot louder though... and i don't know if i should go back to an ENT or what... It's not enough to keep me up at night, but it's to the point where it's starting to make me worry/feel a little uncomfortable at times.

If anyone knows of any potential causes for me to look into i would greatly appreciate it

is my artwork good enough for commissions?

a friend told me i would make a lot of money off commissions with my art, so i opened commissions and so far all that I've gotten is one commission (from a friend who didnt even know what he wanted) and the rest were just more friends saying that they would commission me if they had money. that's it

can someone help explain state machines that use multiple scripts?

right now I'm trying to make a fighting game, in order to do the kind of fighting game i want i need to understand state machines. originally i thought it could have been as simple as using a switch statement, but I've seen the more "modular" approach talking about using a sort of state machine that uses several scripts, deriving from one base abstract class state.

I've been messing around with it and it's been very confusing even after looking at a few tutorials. i managed to get a test state machine thing going (state A B and C that cycle to the next after pressing K, that's it) but it's still pretty confusing to understand.

How do yall actually USE the manual?

I see so many people say it's a god send but i don't really know what to use it for other than looking up definitions for stuff, and i never find myself thinking "oh i should refer to the manual"

How would a beginner like me use the manual? or is it for someone who is more experienced with unity and C#?

any way to sort out a giant sprite sheet?

I'm making an ori fan game and was able to get a sprite sheet from the game and i would love to use it as a placeholder. thing is, the sprite sheet is HUGE and all the sprites seem to be very randomly placed, i tried combing through it just for one animation to see if it was doable and it didn't even seem like all of the sprites were there. i picked out one by one the sprites that seemed like they went together in order, combing through the whole thing, when i thought i got them all the animation wasn't anything remotely similar to the original. not to mention some of them seem to be rotated randomly, the whole thing is just chaos!!!

any recommendations on how to sort through the sprites? i found a sprite cutter, which does help by giving me every single one individually, but they're still very mixed up n such

is there anything I could do to sort the sprites?

What signs should I look for to stop for the day?

I have a couple of hobbys I'm doing, I like drawing and have been doing it for a few years, and I'm trying to get into making games. Both take energy, drawing is the only real enjoyable one, and i want to work on both throughout the day for as long as I can/should, but I don't know when I should stop pushing myself

Currently i feel like I don't push myself hard enough. I end up quitting pretty early in the day and start doing stuff like playing games or just nothing at all when it feels like I can do so much more.

i set up base in the security outpost with all the lockers in the back room, for the free storage. i got a distribution pad and it works on them perfectly fine until i move far away to unload it and get it reloaded, it stops working until i package it and place it back down and get it hooked up again.

My grandpa got into an accident in January of 2022, he had bruised his spinal cord, and is still wheel chair bound. He isn't paralyzed, he can move, but his whole body is so stiff and hes so weak that we need to help him with a lot, hes unable to get out of his wheel chair on his own, and I have to transfer him whenever he has to go to the bathroom or take a shower.

He's been going to out patient therapy about 2 times a week, for about 45 or so minutes each, but the progress is so slow that any set backs he has puts him back to square 1.

In patient therapy options are limited, he had recently been approved for in patient, but it only allowed him 2 weeks, in that time he made a bit of upper body progress, but he lost strength in his legs even tho they were exercising them, it wasn't long enough.

I've tried exercising him daily, but neither him nor I can stick with it. I don't have what it takes to give him therapy daily.

What options do we have here? Is there a way to get our insurance to permit more PT? At this rate he'll never get out of his wheelchair on his own.
