Tvm: Feeling the FOMO on the simple things.

Tvm based. Honestly, feeling like I've missed out on the usual stuff. Late-night drives, deep conversations over a chaya, or just having someone to explore the city with. Anyone else in Trivandrum feeling this kind of FOMO lately?

KTU vs Anna University: Is KTU actually getting easier now? (Need 24 marks to pass?)

Hey guys, I'm trying to decide between joining KTU or going to Tamil Nadu for Anna University, and I need some honest opinions.

I've always heard that Anna University is pretty easy to pass, but the huge downside is that the colleges are basically like schools-super strict and you can't really enjoy campus life at all.

On the flip side, the general reputation of KTU is that it's insanely tough to pass and the supply exams will ruin you. BUT, I recently heard a rumor that the new KTU syllabus (2024 scheme) has become much simpler. I also heard that from this semester onwards, you only need 24 marks to pass the external exams!

Is this actually true? If KTU is getting easier to pass and has a much better campus life, is it the clear winner now? Let me know your thoughts and experiences!

I built "Hear"-a free, React-based Spotify alternative that streams at 320kbps and imports your existing playlists.

I wanted to build something clean, fast, and accessible without the usual restrictions. Here is a quick look at what it currently does:

Ο

High-Fidelity Audio: The app actively filters and streams audio at a crisp 320 kbps.

One-Click Migration: I know the hardest part of switching apps is losing your library. As shown in

Screenshot_20260605-220023.png, I built

an importer where you can just paste a public Spotify playlist link, and it automatically matches and ports your tracks over to Hear.

Familiar Interface: I designed a clean, dark-mode UI (you can see the Top 50 view in 1000141683. png) so that the transition from the big streaming apps feels completely seamless.

Why I built this:

To be completely transparent, I built this simply because I wanted a better tool to exist for people. I'm a developer who loves music, and I wanted to create a platform that focuses entirely on the listening experience without any corporate bloat or paywalls blocking the way. This is a passion project built strictly for the community to enjoy.

The Road Ahead:

Right now, I am developing and maintaining this entirely solo. I have big plans to take it to the next level-improving the architecture, adding new features, and making sure the backend scales so everyone can use it smoothly.

Because I'm doing this out of pocket just for the love of the build, covering server costs and future development time is going to be the biggest hurdle. If you try out the app and want to help me keep the lights on and push it to the next stage, any support would mean the world to me adarshroy135@gmail.

Absolutely no pressure, though. My main goal is just to get this into the hands of people who will appreciate it.

I'd love to hear your feedback, bug reports, or any feature requests!

Sick of Spotify ads? I built a free, ad-free web app for Malayalam & Tamil hits (320kbps)

I got tired of the constant ads and heavy bloat on mainstream music apps, so I coded my own minimal web player called Hear. There's no app to download-just open the link and listen.

Ο

Zero Ads: Completely free and streams in high-quality 320kbps audio.

Regional Trending: Dedicated feeds for the latest Malayalam and Tamil hits.

Instant Install: Tap "Add to Home Screen" in your browser to use it exactly like a native app.

Got a favorite playlist? DM me your Spotify playlist link, and I'll manually import it directly into Hear for you!

Try it out: https://saavn-clone.vercel.app/
