Housing options

Im trying to help my mom finding a home, shes really codependent on section 8 unfortunately & living off her ss check. The home shes getting into is bug infested & landlord is forcing her to pay off orkin & holes around the home. Before she's even moving in, anyone that have housing advice on what to do or know some better place than this i am all ears.

I would like to help her out & eventually move in for better supervision, but this situation is preventing me to do so. And yes I have talk, persuade, and now begging for her to NOT do it. And now her place that shes currently in is kicking her out soon. So eventually she might be dealing with all of this at old age.

Any advice or help?

I am interested in fasting, Ive had tried it in the past but I could never do it right.

I am 283lbs and I would like to try to fast the right way, I do have a unhealthy relationship with food been diagnosed with polyphagia during my early teen years. The only time Ive lost weight was by smoking weed and being alcoholic did not eat most of the time and skated A LOT. I was at 280 and drop 45lbs within months, while taking otc caffeine "fat burner meds" and A LOT of coffee. After I got into a relationship & birth control, I stop drinking & smoking and eating more than ever and here I am now.

Hey newbie here!

I'm very exited to start my journey here with you guys, i am 283lbs 5'7F and I've been walking for general active purposes to get out of my head. But now I'm using this in a way to get out of my body, so far my steps has reach 6,000- 10,000 max. The lowest I would say is 1,000 on rest days, but that adds to get a good workout in with boxing. My phone typically tracks steps, so its good on someday's and not for boxing since I have to be loose a lot to move.

My main goal, is to go up the stairs without feeling winded & not feel bodily congested by my weight when I sleep. I know these goals sound basic yet so far its been pushing me to keep trying right now. Got any tips for someone my size to keep going or reall motivation 💜

Basic noob question

I have skated before just mainly for crusing and weight loss, which I had and it definitely work well. Now it's been 4yrs later I've taken a long fucking break, gain back the weight and now I'm back to step one. I would like to get a new deck that fits my shoe size, since the first one I bought was dirt cheap but got shit done tho. I am size 11 in women's, what brand & deck of size would work out for ya thicc boy here.

Thanks for yours answers, wish me best to have fun of a old hobby that I shouldn't have let go. ❤️

I need to vent about religious anxieties & switching teams lols (maybe)

I was rasied Christian from all my life, and all the things I've learned in the Bible did not stuck with me at all. I just know that Jesus will die for your sins as long you are truly repenting, then reading the old testament and new seem to confused me more. And having people older than me panic that they are going to hell or I keep up "my personal sins, I eventually go to hell". Im hearing this as a child and I was extremely terrified. When I look at God today its still fear, confusions, and remembering he forgives.

I thought forgiving sins is too good to be true type of mindset, I hate to admit it, but it just feels that way deep down and it terrifies me. Knowing im still held accountable of what I've done to people from all my life and now, this thinking does drives me into a mental panic & depression. And one day during the Palestinian movement, I've came across the religion of Islam.

Now american & non Muslim propaganda has me thinking that all Muslim men are abusers and force women to cover up or get beaten mindset. From my understanding there are extremists militia, very conservative families there that do hold up that mindset. But I also understand that analogy does NOT apply to everyone that is Muslim, and that perspective deepen my curiosity about their God and their messenger.

Their God is forgiving, the most merciful, all knowing ect.of the 99 names. Learning all of this had made me twinkle my toes for excitement, like in my old Sunday school class when I was a child. From small clips from Muslim YouTubers, tiktok, and scholar videos.

I had to watch them in silently sometimes because I didn't want my bf to know, but later hearing about this my religious paranoia kick in. And left a horrible bad taste in his mouth and mine now, and its completely my fault that I've tried to force him into it. Because he's my bf, and I need to marry me so God won't think I'm committing sin (sex before marriage).

After a year or two past, I still watch videos about the good and what not to do Muslim videos. But not as much now, I dont want to loose myself over a fear and go crazy again. Just because I found something that gave me peace of mind, but also horrible mindset of myself and others around me.

Ive been wanting to get mental help, on the religion anxieties I have but I dont want to be on mental medication. I just would like the therapy by itself, to talk to someone about deep rooted trauma that highly plays apart here. Or simply go back to Christianity with all the info I've learned, but I dont look at jesus the same way anymore so it will feel odd.

After loosing my job, it was time to focus on getting a permit to drive then license.

I'm still unemployed & currently active to finding a new one, but not in the same small town i had to residenceny here. Its crazy how I did lost the job, and try to get unemployment insurance from it.

Nah I got straight denied, earlier I was panicking on what to do next is looking for a J.O.B. But I stop throughout that search and had to lock tf in quick, I'm 25F due to my parents when I was 16. They did not wanted me to drive, using the excuses like "youll crash my car or i dont want you to die so soon".

So it got delayed for years, and half of those years it was eventually my fault. Due to drugs, abuse of alcohol, bad combination of "friendships", and also I drop out of college. Just to add the cherry on top, with all the bullshit I've wasted my 10yrs of lifespan.

So far I am 4yrs sober from all that & just got my permit yesterday, I honestly feel "late" but I needed to make sure there wasn't going to be relapses and focus on job. Since I stop doing drugs/alcohol, the anxiety has hit FUCKING HARD.

It went from not caring for anything, to now checking the ingredients on vitamins. And shit, even water lolss just can't imagine with myself driving. its was already difficult of being passenger princess. Especially cars merging on the freeway, my brain already reaching the impending doom. (my fcking gawd)

I'm doing better tho, mainly I'm very happy to get up & to leave the comfort zone. Im so fucking happy even typing this out to anyone reading this. I know this is simple to others, but its definitely a big step in my life, especially I've been delaying it for too long.

I need to comeback on this post one day or soon to say i got my license. Its nice to know even one A to B car can do a big difference in my life, being stuck or comfortable in your own limits. ESPECIALLY its preventing you to live & make money, is worse than hell itself.

Yep you read that right !

I have been with my bf for 4yrs, and we had talk about wanting to start a family. I personally want the traditional way, I want be married first before any kid pops up into the Pic. He wants a kid now and married later, majority of the time we have intimacy he keeps insisting it we should just get over it.

"Fulfilled your womenaly duties" BTW I just lost my fcking job 2weeks ago, and we are kinda struggling with bills, I informed him of that reality and he says "thats your money, your money has not fully covered bills only the minimum". Which thats obviously true, and I'm not going to argue with that. But I am reminding what situation we are in.

im 25F and hes 23M we both live in section 8 trying to save money to get out of it, or move into a better home. Ive been personally traumatized by my parents, how having me and my sis cost so much money & tell us dont have sex, dont have a bf, and especially dont get pregnant. So having that discipline in me is hard to fight that fear of being a mom & struggling.

Im using traditional marriage to help me be okay with that, because Its seems fine & im old/young enough. Yes I have communicated these things to my bf, I even dont mind a back yard cheap ass wedding. Nothing too much, just gotta to court get the papers and boom Mr & Mrs right??.

No, in fact he wants the opposite of my idea just big & expensive.. and still wants the fucking kid now.

Look, I love kids. I imagine myself spending time with them & taking mommy classes to be a better parent than my own. We have the same agenda, but different opinions tho. He keeps comparing me to, other women that have kids that aren't married. " they can do it, why cant you ?" Or "I'll find someone else to have my kid"

The last part of what he said piss me tf off, honestly & broke my heart. This is the same guy, that doesn't know how to deal with babies, kids, and one day adults. The dude is a gammer like me, and imma need a man that would put the controller down and help me with the kid.

I tell him all of these concerns and its either reassuring, joking say im going to let you handle them, or your the women its your job ( says it, with a smile..)

I dont know, if im making right choices with the guy now. Don't give me no biased opinion pls. Girls girl is nice, but I would like the actual truth to help wake me up or find away to deal with this Edit update: I thank you ! Of all your comments (facts at this point) I truly thank yall ❤️, especially to that one comment I replied back that hit the final nail of the coffin

Edit update pt2: And the stories yall have about men really trying to baby trap is HORRENDOUS. 😱 I'm sure there is some women out there will do that to some guy as well. My god though

Live in a small local town really not much jobs here to sustain any life.

This town here listens at the sametime don't give you a hand.

I lost my job due to unjustified termination

I dont have a car nor any family/ friends because I keep to myself a lot.

I'm just writing this shit confession, to get this feeling off my chest & keep my head up. But if something happens to me this post can put two & two together

This isn't a cry for help, im just simply venting this shit off my chest. Like trash going to the can, but the can will not be empty out type shit.

Yeah that's it, thanks for reading

Edit update:

Thank you guys so much, for all the support & inbox messages (I will get back as well).

Ive been thinking, mapping out my finances & where to start. It's only been a day or two making this confession on reddit, and reading all of your comments have give me more optimism.

Its definitely the place/hole I'm stuck, thats resulting my mind to be desperate to leave & start refresh. Small towns are known to be familiar, but also locks up with anyone that have any dreams of bigger things & craves any experiences. For mean time, time to start going back to the basics.

If you have a religion, pray for me

If you have luck, wish it for me

All good things will come one day, along with those successes.
