Maxwell 2 firmware update

The firmware update seems to have removed the hiss. But now I hear these weird different sounds alternating in either ear, almost like they're very faint "beeps" or like sci-fi numbers sounds. I don't even know how to describe them. It's weird and I've never experienced this in a headset but it's that classic sound electronics that are plugged in like to make, like a high pitched whine but in very short intervals if that rings a bell. It's kind of very faint and I am actually quite sensitive to various electronics that are plugged in whining sounds at night so maybe it's just me.

Of course I love the sound of the Maxwells and the audio quality is even better than on my audient ID22 + dt880 pro wired combo... the static sounds are gone but some other weirdness is there...

In some ways this is more annoying cause at least the other noise/hiss was static... This new one is actually more distracting... what the hell

How comfortable is this controller, compared to other controllers out there?

I've tried quite a few different controllers. Xbox, PS5, even the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller.

Maybe it's because I'm so used to it, but for Souls games for example, I found the PS5 one is the most comfortable one. Just large enough for my hands, good dpad placement and so on.

I'm wondering how the Steam controller compares. I like the Nintendo one for their games since you can bind some stuff on the back buttons. But I didn't really vibe with it for Souls games when I tried it on PC, Dpad placement seem horrendous.

Can someone who used a ton of Ps5 controller comment on how the steam controller compares?

It honestly looks good. But I'm kind of hesitant due to the weird looking block things under the sticks. What is even their purpose?

Switch 2 vs PC Mortal Shell

Does first Mortal Shell run well on Switch 2? Or there weren't any updates and it's kinda 30 fps locked? I never really played it and wondering which version to go for, saw its super cheap on switch 2 but if it's locked to 30 fps that's kind of a deal breaker. Anyone has it on switch 2?

LG OLED G5 vs C5 for TV gaming setup?

I already have a QD OLED monitor and as much as I like gaming on my desk I do want a 83" TV for the large wall in my living room for movies etc. and of course, couch gaming sessions. So I would be going for 83"

The price difference between these two is pretty freaky, like almost 1k euro.

So my question is... for those who have either/both TVs and use them regularly for gaming and so on...

Just how much more is the G5 with its tandem OLED panel worth it? I was honestly already set on a C5 initially, but then realized it doesn't actually use LG's new tandem OLED panels like the G5 does and I would essentially be getting a brighter version of the C1 (which I have in 48" that I was using in my bedroom for years).

I'm not really looking at the newest panels since the improvements are incremental at best and their costs are off the charts since they just released. But I'm wondering if that extra G5 brightness is something that would be worth the investment? They say G5 is currently one of the best OLED panels for gaming available so... Seems it would be worth it?

LG G5 83" wall mounting concerns

I'm eyeing to get the 83" G5. Obviously it's designed to be wall mounted, they even provide the wall mount with the TV. I cannot mount such a huge TV myself, so I've been talking to a few services who can do it and they've all been very reluctant to agree because of my gypsum wall.

Builder described it as a partition wall made from 75 mm steel studs with two layers of 12.5 mm drywall on each side. There is no plywood or OSB backing behind the drywall. Is it safe to mount an 83-inch LG G5 (about 40–45 kg with the wall mount) using heavy-duty hollow-wall anchors only? As the builder can't tell me where the studs/profiles are, only that they're potentially placed every 60cm throughout the wall so I'm not convinced the studs are 100% guarantee to be in the tv mounting bracket placement on the wall.

Anyone mounted this 40kg large TV on their gypsum wall? Any help is appreciated, all the people i've talk to don't want the mounting liability lol.

TCL C7K, 98'' vs TCL C8K, 98''

The difference in price is about 700 eu. Maybe there's people who own either here and could chime in on whether the c8k is worth that much more?

The other option I was eyeing was an 83" LG C5 OLED, but it's smaller and OLEDs don't get much larger than that without breaking the bank unfortunately.

The LG sub ofc says OLED is king and that I'm trying to convince myself to get an LCD and pic quality on OLED is much more worth than the size but honestly I'm open to anything. It's more the size that's convincing me than anything. And these TCLs seem to be the best bang for buck for the 98" size?

Also, what about the PPI when it comes to those sizes displays? I'm mostly planning to game + watch movies and so on but at best quality possible. Does the pixel density get screwy at those sizes? Maybe it feels better on 83" esp for gaming cause the pixel density is more manageable?

Couch can be moved per optimal sitting distance depending on the tv for the viewing distance.

83" OLED vs 100/98" non OLED living room entertainment

I got a very spacious living room to put a TV in with a big wall that can easily accommodate the larger size of 100".

Up until now it's been almost 4 years since I've had an LG C1 OLED 48" due to having limited space and I've definitely enjoyed it a lot with movies/shows/anime/single player games on it. No sports or cable TV or the like usage here.

Now, unfortunately, anything beyond 83" for OLEDs is delulu expensive which limits my options to that particular size if I do want to go OLED.

In order to go above that size, you have to ditch OLED entirely. So miniLED is the next best thing. For 100" - LG offers the LG 100QNED86A6 but I haven't really heard any buzz about it. Alternatively, there's also the 98" TCL 98C8K that people reference very often for these sizes.

I guess it all comes down to personal preference - size real estate vs picture quality/motion + benefits of OLED. But I'm still curious to hear experiences and opinions of people who owned both?

How close do the TCL mini LEDs come to an OLED experience? Don't get me wrong, I am absolute an OLED fanboy, but if you had to steel man non OLEDs, what would you say?

LG C5 83" OLED vs 100"/98" non OLED option for larger screen size

What are y'all thoughts on this? Got a very spacious living room to put a TV in with a big wall that can easily accommodate the larger size of 100".

Up until now I've had an LG C1 OLED 48" due to having a small space and I've definitely enjoyed it a lot with movies/anime/single player games and the like. I still game on my desk/monitor ofc but nothing can replace the OLED/large TV experience for those couch controller gaming sessions.

Here comes the dilemma. Anything beyond 83" for OLEDs is unreasonably expensive. So in order to go above that size, you have to ditch OLED entirely. LG themselves offer the LG 100QNED86A6.

However, people say the TCL 98C8K is a much better miniLED option compared to the LG. And TCL 98C7K is a good cheaper alternative.

I guess it all comes down to personal preference - size vs picture quality/OLED. But I'm still curious to hear experiences/opinions.
