Yellow-billed cuckoo enjoying the sunshine

Spotted this one by accident along the edge of the reeds while trying to photograph a harrier. He stayed for 20 minutes and caught several worms before flying away.

The green heron can easily wait 30 minutes or more for a frog or fish to get close enough to catch. They have a lot of patience.

To attract a mate, the YCNH leans forward and then stands up straight and then leans forward again all while fluffing up its feathers.
