Just a reminder “Going Where the Chaos” is not because Lan Wangji was looking for WWX’s soul.
Lan Wangji has always gone where the chaos was ever since he was young. This was always his thing. Think of Teen Wangji holding up the shed in the rain because of the little spirit making it extremely heavy.
I think the term chaos also gives the wrong impression. It’s more that he will do any night hunt he things he ought to do even if it’s something small and boring and won’t bring him much attention.
As you can see in the above passage even WWX says the night hunts that LWJ chose are not the type he would normally have chosen in the past. So if LWJ was looking for WWX during these type of night hunts he would not be looking in the right places.
It may seem romantic that “Going Where the Chaos” was because of WWX but I think LWJ is a stronger character because he does good things independent of WWX. Just like WWX trying to save the Wens was independent of LWJ. In the end I think both LWJ and WWX admire the others moral character. While I don’t think they learned nothing from the other I think they both always had strong morals independent of each other. And the fact that they share this same moral core is why they came to love each other so deeply.
In fact MXTX said something similar in her interview in Subaru.
Furthermore, these two people are deeply similar at the core of their personality. At the core of who they are, they are the same kind of person. This is also one big reason why they come to love each other so deeply.

Many people are probably unaware of this translation. But some of the later chapters were translated by a Chiaki_Himura on a Google Drive.
I don’t really want to scrutinize the translation as it was not perfect but you know they did it for fun on
their spare time. And barely anyone knows it to use in interpretative arguments anyways.
I am only bringing it up because I suddenly remembered they made the creative choice to translate Lan Wangji’s chest as bosom so everytime WWX lies against LWJ’s chest he is lying against his bosom. And I just really love this choice so much. Bosom just sounds so much more comfy than chest. Sharing a few quotes from their translation below.
After that, Wei Wuxian’s head no longer twisted about and snuggled into his bosom as though he had finally found a comfortable sleeping position. My 14 year old cat has lymphoma and he has an appointment at an Oncologist on September 8. I don’t know what type yet.
I am very worried about Vet bills because unfortunately I don’t have insurance so I am very limited to what I can afford. But right now my cat is only on steroids and it doesn’t seem to be doing much good. In fact he had a better appetite before he was on steroids so I was hoping to get better help at the Oncologist.
The oncologist wants payment up front. I know what the visit will cost but not much else. I signed up for care credit but I don’t know if ill be approved for a higher amount if needed. Moreover care credit told me they won’t tell me what promotional period I will have to pay back the amount until after I swipe the card which isn’t very helpful in planning high expenses. The oncologist does not offer payment plans.
Does anyone have any advice? I want to do the best I can for my cat but as I said I am definitely limited to what I can pay. My local vet can’t really do much. I also should add I also have a 16 year old senior cat and while he doesn’t have current health issues now I am trying to think ahead for the future.

I have always wished to know more info about WWX’s time in the Burial Mounds, the first siege leading up to WWX’s death and Wangxian’s wedding
But as all these questions were asked before and MXTX gave vague or non-answers (like think for yourself) these probably wouldn’t be the best questions to ask. If I wanted my question answered I would need to think of something better. Well MXTX did say a few brief things about Wangxian’s 3rd bow like it was before their 2nd time having sex and WWX’s bow was unconventional but I still want more.
Still I thought maybe this would be a fun question to ask everyone (and I know not everyone is super familiar with every answer MXTX gave in previous interviews so if you do have a question that she did already answer I can share that with you as well).
