Btech CSE fees and Clg review

Hi, I’m considering BTech CSE at RVU, Bengaluru and want honest info from students or anyone.

I want to apply through the normal/merit route (like RVSAT/through website, not management quota) and want to know the real total fee for 4 years, whether there are any hidden or donation-type charges, and if RVSAT is still the main admission exam.

Also, there isn’t much clear official placement data on their website, so how are the actual placements for CSE and is the college worth it overall?

NIOS reply on my doubt regarding Improvement exam and Practical marks

Already gave and passed April public exam, appeared in June ode for improvement in one practical subject. Had a doubt that practical marks will be carried forward or not. My exam centre told that there would be practical. Finally got an official confirmation that practical marks will be carried forward if already passed.

Do people actually get High marks in ode exams (80-90) ?

Already passed in all subjects in April exam with 75%. Gave Physics and Maths as improvement. Both went great. Expected 80 + in Physics and 90+ in Maths. Do people even get High marks in ODE exams? As I heard checking is tough compared to Public Exams.

Laptop recommendation for 4 years usage, around 60K (read description)

MY BUDGET is 60k inr, maybe go till 65k.

Will be joining BTech CSE this year. Need a decent laptop will can work for 4-5 year. Can do gaming till RDR2 or GTA 5 level (need for releasing stress, not a gamer). Also, a nice Display. Good Wifi connection. Won't lag. Good for coding too. Completely new to this. Need recommendations.

12th IMPROVEMENT after joining BTech valid?

Heard some companies ask for 80% as eligiblity criteria in 10 12 CGPA.

I scored 74% in 12th (2026) and may take an IMPROVEMENT exam next year to increase my percentage. Since the new IMPROVED marksheet will have a 2027 date, will it still be valid/legal for company placements that require 80% in 12th?

Or the percentage will be calculated from 12th marksheet submitted during college admissions. (Btech CSE)

Hi, I've been huge Wildlife fan since childhood, grown up watching Animal Planet, NATgeo, more. But I'm just mesmerized by Indian wildlife. Huge fan of Kenneth Anderson and Jim Corbet and their works.

Here some story:

Was trekking in Forests of Jharkhand, this region are famous primarily for Elephants, came across their trail too. But in my way, saw a Leopard preying on me just few metre away, It was small and trying to hide between rocks. Maintaining eye contact, managed to escape it and made my way to my bike. Indeed was a scary experience, as it was my first encounter with a big cat.

Doubts about Improvement

Gave 5 subjects exam in April public exam 2026, Senior Secondary.

Want to increase my grades in physics (only one subject) but as soon as possible as I'll join a college this year.

Can I book ODE today itself for early June (12 June or earlier), whenever available,

As results for June ode will come soon, last week of July or first week of August

If marks improves, will my grades be increased in the original 5 subject marksheet? and Will I get a new marksheet?

And can I book ODE even if results for the public exam hasn't been declared yet?

How is CBSE 12 copy checking in Jamshedpur Region. (Class 12th Maths)

Scoring good in all subs but in Maths getting around 18-22 (or maybe even 24) passing is 26. I just want to pass in Maths.
