Writer with Migraines Help

Hey all,

I'm a writer and I recently got hit by almost daily migraines. I find that being on a screen is a huge trigger.

I'm wondering if anyone else with photosensitivity has a setup that could help me still do what I do? I have seen E-ink tablets with laptops. I'm wondering if there are monitors out there that don't need a backlight (though sometimes, having that backlight is good if I need the room dimmed.

Please help, 😂, thank you.

Yucky Meclizine Experience

I have vestibular migraines either caused by or the cause of BPPV. A doc recommended Meclizine and I took it last night and slept like 12 hours!

I’m still feeling it today like 18 hours later, which is a total wash. It was a prescribed form of Mec, 12.5 mg. I’m pretty sensitive to medications.

It did help the intense dizziness but doesn’t feel worth the trade of losing a whole day.

Should I still do my exercises? Is there a drug out there that doesn’t make me feel like I’m dopey for an entire day? Like OTC Mec or even just Benedryl?

ROG newbie need tech help

Hey all,

I got the ally for my post migraine days (16GB model). One of my favorite games to play when I’m feeling bad is house flipper 2.

I have a dock and it looks great but the motion is very choppy and jarring.

Are there any suggestions you can give to smoov it out? Like do I need to go into settings and tweak it for good performance? I’m new to Ally so any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Post Migraine on Handheld

Hey!

I got a ROG Ally 16GB for my post migraine days. I am looking for suggestions as to games I can play off Steam and Epic for healing days. Specifically ones that are easy to look at on a smaller screen.

My favorites so far are:

Stardew
Skyrim
Disco Elysium (ignoring the text, or BIG text and zoomed in)

I have quite a few others in my library. Too many to list. Reading isn’t good right now, so House Flipper and even Skyrim feels kinda bad.

What do you play on handheld when your brain hurty?

EDIT are there any good MMOs you'd suggest? Thank you!
