What's with the bread?

I love bread. And all the bread I've been given has been incredible. But at every restaurant are you just given bread by default and have to pay for it?

In fact on 3 separate occasions the waiters have asked me if I wanted bread, to which I said no because I was getting a main course, and they still brought bread regardless (which was then on the bill). The other places I've been they don't even ask, bread is just given.

I don't really mind so much as the bread was super tasty and like €1. But is it just expected that you will have bread with your meal?

Has anyone tried one of those necklace fans? (NOT the neck/headphone type ones)

I'm going to Greece next week, and it's gunna be HOT DIGGITY DOG while I'm out and about. I was looking at getting a portable fan to give me some relief from the heat, and these 'necklace'-type ones showed up.

I haven't seen much in the way of reviews of them, but the idea of not needing to hold it or having it on my neck directly is appealing, and I know JISULIFE tends to be fairly well received here.

I don't love the idea of the headphone-type ones - I've tried on one before and it felt annoying and restrictive (personal opinion).

Thank you for any advice!

Replacement battery for instax mini 99

I bought a used instax mini 99 off eBay, and think the only problem with it is that the battery is on it's way out (it loads up perfectly fine and appears to be fully functional, but when I put in some film it can't power up, presumably because the print motor is too much to handle).

The part is called 'NP-70s', though I'm unable to find a fujifilm official replacement. Has anyone tried any of the unnofficial ones off Amazon and other places (like this one)?

This one seems to be specifically for the instax mini 99, but has zero reviews so I'm a little hesitant. It also mentions 3.7V vs the 3.6V mentioned on the original Fujifilm battery, which concerns me.

Occasional "CRACK" sound in left ear (a50 lightspeed)

I've noticed recently that I get an occasional sharp 'crack' sound in the left ear, like the speaker is popping. I haven't noticed any other impact on audio quality. Just every so often the headphones will make that loud cracking sound and make me jump. Is it a product defect? Or something I can do anything about?

I've tried switching usb, ensuring it's fully charged, a different settings, firmware reset. Nothing has helped so far. Any advice would be appreciated 🙂

It's the A50 Lightspeed I'm using

Solo travelling havila cruise from Kirkenes to Bergen

I want to do a wee trip along the coast of Norway. I've never been before, and have never in my life even considered a cruise for a holiday, but have been told it's an awesome way to explore the coast of Norway.

Does anyone have any advice for solo travelling on a 'Havila' cruise? I can't find much info about folks who have done it so not sure what to expect and whether it's a good idea! It does sound super interesting but curious to what folks here think. Would love some thoughts from anyone who has done such a cruise or if anyone has thoughts on a better way to travel the coast for sightseeing across 5-7 days!

Thank you!

My partner and I are planning a 2-week holiday in July, budget £5-7k, and are looking for some inspiration.

I won't influence too much because I'm genuinely curious about what holidays folks like, and am open. But we don't have a family, and are not big partiers.

What would be your absolute top pick?
